  • In Korea, a variety of policies for the regional cultural industry development have been carried out: the promotion policy of cultural industry cluster, the establishment of cultural industry support center, and the construction of cultural industry complex and the supporting works for the cultural research center. The cultural industry has a dual character of the manufacturing industry and the service industry. The cultural industry of Gyeongbuk province is mostly centered upon small manufacturing firms with low value-added. Thus, it is desperately in need of the building-up of the enterprise supporting system. However, it is difficult to expect that private business service finns can be activated. In this sense, local and regional governments seek to establish so called 'the cultural contents support center'. However, it is not clear whether the center is an organization for the production of cultural contents or an agency for the support of cultural contents industry. Also it does not prepare any major functional introduction facilities and performing programs. Most of all, it is necessary to establish a proper orientation that 'the cultural contents support center' must be not an organization for the direct production of cultural contents, but an organization supporting cultural industry by way of providing cultural industry enterprises with what is necessary for the production of cultural contents. Also, a system for the establishment of business fitting support policy that can cover the whole sectors of cultural industry must be prepared. Furthermore, a synthetic support system for the cultural business associated industries centered on specified sectors such as films, edutainment, and storytelling must be constructed. Finally an environment for the creation and inducement of cultural industry enterprises, and for the active participation of enterprises and related groups in the promotion planning and in the policies of cultural industry must be built along with on- and off-line networks.

  • Cultural conditions and carbon sources affecting the productivity of cellulolytic enzymes of Pleurotus ostreatus 201 were examined in synthetic media. The optimum cultural temperature and initial pH for the production of enzymes were $25^{\circ}C$ and 5.5 in avicelase, and 3$0^{\circ}C$ and 5.0 In CMCase, and 3$0^{\circ}C$ and 6.5 in B-glucosidase. Among carbon sources, cellulose powder was the best for the production of avicelase, and Na-CMC for CMCase, and cellobiose for $\beta$-glucosidase. The optimum concentration of cellulose powder was 1.0% (w/v), and glucose depressed the production of enzymes remarkably.

  • This study was conducted in order to optimize the media composition and cultural conditions for kasugamycin production by Streptomyces kasugaensis. The optimum culture conditions are pH 6.6 (before sterilization) and $28^{\circ}C$ for the production of kasugamycin. The kasugamycin concentration was not increased when silicone oil as antifoam agent was added. The addition of water during the cultivation in the various media showed a positive effect for the production of kasugamycin.

  • To investigate the effect of cultural condition on the aflatoxin production of Aspergillus flayus ATCC 15517, mixed culture with Aspergillus niger, better kind of media and size of Cultural vessels were examined. YES medium was better than SLS medium for this study. Small scale test tube culture was showed the possibility to simply examine the growth, total acidity, pH and aflatoxin production during cultivation, and also could reduce the second contamination of aflatoxin B1 from large scale broth cultured. Especially ELISA method is simple, sensitive and specific and therefore well suited to small scale of test tube culture. Mixed culture significantly reduced the aflatoxin production of Aspergillus fiavus ATCC 15517 and showed almost 95% inhibition of that level during the incubtation.

  • Changes in political and economic environments require a new concept of 'culture' and a paradigm shift in cultural policies. Especially, broadcasting is needed to construct a productive infra-structure in order to play its role as culture industry in multi-channel environments caused by the progress of digital technology. In addition, Korea-USA FTA Agreement and a subsequently expected open policy of broadcasting market raise issues of a flow of foreign capital and a compatibility of cultural diversities and cultural identities. From this perspective, this study attempts to suggest alternatives for cultural diversity of program contents in new global media environments. More specifically, these alternatives examine the meaning and achievements of co-production of broadcasting programs as an active and direct method to preserve cultural identities and universalities of cultural contents at the same time. Details of this study are as follows: thorough review of internation co-production and program format industries and their possibilities to overcome cultural harriers and to provide local alternatives.

  • 'Bukpo' is called 'Tongpo' or 'Balnaepo,' which respectively mean hemp fabric that goes into a small bamboo tube and women's table utensil 'bari' in Chosen. It is fine hemp fabric produced in Yukjin, Hamgyeong province. Korea has been divided into North and South since the Korean War in 1950. As it is hard to get information about Northern life style or their traditional technology, their hemp fabric production is also left unknown. This study demonstrates characteristics of the production of 'Bukpo' through "Ojuyeonmunjangjeonsango", the only document that marked about 'Bukpo' making process of the late Chosen dynasty. It aims to analyze the transition of the technique and the meaning by comparing the characteristics of the production of 'Bukpo' with the modern era's documents. In this process, I discovered that the hemp fabric production technique at 19th century shares some sort of similarities with that of Europe or Chinese Miao(hmong). But the hemp fabric production technique changed before the 20th century. The evolution of Northern hemp fabric production technique can be a good example to examine the context of the traditional craft technique.

  • The nutritional requirement and cultural condition such as carbon and nitrogen sources, cultural temperature, initial pH, cultural time and aeration for the production of endocellular cytosine deaminase from Aspergillus fumigatus IFO 5840 were investigated. The cultural broth giving maximum cytosine deaminase yield was found to consist of 2% glucose as a carbon source and 1% yeast extract and 0.1% peptone as a nitrogen source. Optimal initial pH of the culture broth was pH 8.5 and the enzyme production in the cell usually reached a maximum after 28 hours of cultivation in the 500ml shaking flask containing 100ml broth at $30^{\circ}C$. The endoenzyme production of the used strain was inhibited by inorganic nitrogen, but activated by orgainc nitrogen, yeast extract.

Therefore, at this point of time when its weighty has been raised, the aim of this study is to fill the image Korean tradition and modernity culture in them, through the search on their characteristics among regions and nations, desk the cultural service goods which gets survival power of traditional and cultural identity. Nine existing Hahoe masks are changed into nine new cultural items, which are presented the nine dreams of Hahoe masks. As consumer's choice is diversified by a set of products, main concept in this study is the focus on modernity, rationality, traditionality and popularity. The main concept of this study is on rational functions and convenience, the harmony of tradition and modernity. As said above, in the process of manufacture the mass production of goods is stressed, and by getting the composition and making a set of goods, the choice of consumers will be extended. Getting ideal globalization by the coexistence of tradition and modernity on goods, is very important. Consequently, cultural goods must be recognized as a factor of its medium, and also, on domestic cultural goods people's interest must be risen all the more.

  • This paper was to examine the existing foundation of cultural contents industry through analyzing the development process, the location pattern, and the value chain system and the management of cultural contents industry in Daegu. Most cultural contents industry in Daegu had less than ten employees: so, it was classified into the early stage of commercialization. The firms that dealt with on-line distribution were recently founded. The high portion of the finns was located in the center of city such as Jung-Gu and Nam-Gu in which the Center for Digital Industry Promotion of Daegu (DIP) is located. The value main system consisted of four nodes such as creation node, production node, marketing node and distribution node. The production node was played the most important role. Based on value chain system, the cultural contents industry firms in Daegu could be divided into four types: Type I is a contents production firm with a single value chain in the cultural contents industry. Type II is a contents production firm with two or three value chains. Type III is a contents production firm with comprehensive value chain. Type IV is a non contents production firm with multiple value chains.
