The article concerns the cultural diversity as a policy value for the cultural industry policy in Korea. in the evolution of the cultural industry policy since the end of the 1990s, the primary values of the public policy has focused on the establishment of the cultural identity and the improvement of the competitiveness of the cultural industries. It Is likely that cultural diversify has been considered as a defensive value against the cultural globalization. Meanwhile, as the UNESCO indicates, the improvement of the cultural diversify should be established as a key policy value in terms of the cultural rights, cultural welfare and social inclusion. In this respect, the article analyzes the policy values of the cultural industry policy in terms of the cultural diversity. In addition, the policy alternatives for the improvement of the cultural diversity will be recommended. In particular, the article studies the case on the comic industry policy.

The purpose of this paper is to find an policy vision and action plans for the growth of the Korean cultural contents industry as a new growth power in the 21th century. For this purpose, I referred to sundry records to analyze the characteristics, industrial situation and the prospects of the cultural contents industry. I also made an analysis on the outcome of the cultural contents policy with the help of the official concerned in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, which made it possible for me to draw a few urgent problems of Korean cultural contents industry. With these preceding analyses, I proposed the strategy and action plans of the government policy for the Korean cultural contents industry as follows : strengthening the creative power of the cultural contents industry, systemizing the healthy circulation of the cultural contents, and improvement of the cultural welfare on the basis of contents.

This study aims to analyze the research trend of cultural policy-related papers based on 832 key words among 186 whole articles in the Journal of Cultural Policy by the Korea Culture & Tourism Institute from October 2008 to January 2017. The analysis was performed using a big data analysis technique called the Semantic Network Analysis. The Semantic Network Analysis consists of frequency analysis, density analysis, centrality analysis including degree centrality, betweenness centrality, and eigenvector centrality. Lastly, the study shows a figure visualizing the results of the centrality analysis through Netdraw program. The most frequently exposed key words were 'culture', 'cultural policy/administration', 'cultural industry/cultural content', 'policy', 'creative industry', in the order. The key word 'culture' was ranked as the first in all the analysis of degree centrality, betweenness centrality and eigenvector centrality, followed by 'policy' and 'cultural policy/administraion'. The key word 'cultural industry/cultural content' with very high frequency recorded high points in degree centrality and eigenvector centrality, but showed relatively low points in betweenness centrality.

The policy agenda setting is the symbolic policy of representing the public at home and abroad in addition to what a role of the government and the ruling party made a great contribution out of a political stream, rather than the policy that was formed by external group. Especially, a policy for migrant workers and married immigrant women is the important policy that will need to be solved in the global era. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to confirm a factor, which had a decisive influence upon a policy, by examining the decision-making process of 'policy for the married immigrant women' with which the government pushes ahead. A specific plan for achieving this research objective is as follows. It progresses a theoretical discussion about the multi-cultural policy in south Korea and discusses the process that the multi-cultural policy is formed. The advancing stage includes the process of forming a multi-cultural discourse, the differentiation process that a multi-cultural discourse is diversely formed, and the process of being made a policy of multi-cultural discourse, which had been formed by section.

We aimed to understand how English textbooks in Korea reflect English education policies for improving the English language learners' cultural ability. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, we used the method of analyzing English textbooks because English textbooks are an important tool that most specifically reflects the English policy of a country. This study analyzed middle school English textbooks currently used in Korea. We analyzed nouns/pronouns related to cultures presented in the reading section included in each unit, and compared cultural diversity and cultural identity included in English textbooks in Korea. As a result, it was found that Korea tried to introduce the diverse cultures from the world and promote Korean traditional cultures into the world. So the cultural policy of English education in Korea can be evaluated to be appropriate for cultivating Korea young learners with the cultural capabilities which are essential to be successful leaders in the globalized world.

The purpose of this study is to analyse the complexity of Vietnam's cultural policy in the socio-economic context of socialism-oriented reform with a focus on the case of 'socialization'(xa hoi hoa) cultural policy. The Vietnamese socialization policy has been adopted to mobilise resources and participation from 'the whole society' in order to promote the development of culture and arts. Although there remains the discourse of its definition, the socialization policy has showed its achievements in mobilizing financial resources, privatization, enhancing decentralization, and revitalizing the private investment, and thus help improve cultural services in both quantity and quality. The socialization policy illuminates the leadership of the state, yet gradually improved in promoting and practicing cultural policy. This study is expected to enhance understanding of Vietnam's cultural policy after reform to the Korean scholars, therefore it contributes to boosting the cooperation and cultural exchange between Vietnam and Korea.

The purpose of this study is to develop an AHP model to evaluate the relative importance and priorities of multi-cultural policies under bounded Rationality. The results of the study are as follows. First, in the evaluation elements for each measurement area, the following are the stable social settlement support policy (1rank), social capability development policy of multi-cultural family second generation (2rank), socio-economic activity policy (3rank), collaborative governance policy enforcement(4rank). Second, the priority of the measurement element is as follows. social settlement service target expansion policy was proved to be the top priority project stable social settlement support policy aspect and social capacity development policies of the second generation of multi-cultural families, social support policy was most important evaluated. Active economic activity support policy was as the top priority project socio-economic activity policy, and construct cooperation system of policy practice main agents was proved to be the top priority collaborative governance policy enforcement. These results will contribute to explain the reality of multi-cultural policy.

This study was based on politic reality which is being developed within the ambiguity of cultural welfare, and discussed what sort of awareness the practitioners show in the settlement process of the cultural welfare policy in depth. 4 elements were discovered in the settlement process of the cultural welfare policy which the practitioners are aware of. The elements are value(pursuit of comprehensive mankind), element of practice(process of operation), elements of external influences(process of policy settlement), and elements of internal influences(reinforcement of practitioners capability). This means that not only the process of policy settlement in a narrow sense, but also value, practice, and reinforcement of practitioners' capability for the provision of better service should be considered for the settlement of the policy. This study which analyzed the cultural welfare practitioners' awareness of policy settlement process is significant in that it provides the basic data for future settlement of the cultural welfare policy.

The aim of this study is to understand how English textbooks in Korea and Japan reflect English education policies for improving the English language learners' cultural ability. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the method of analyzing English textbooks was used because English textbooks are an important tool that most specifically reflects the English policy of a country. This study analyzed a total of six English textbooks, three middle school English textbooks currently used in Korea and three in Japan. We analyzed nouns/pronouns related to culture presented in the reading section included in each unit, and compared cultural diversity and cultural identity included in English textbooks in Korea and Japan. As a result, it was found that both countries experienced cultural diversity through English education and introduced their cultural pride to Western culture to realize the goal of strengthening global capabilities. This textbook analysis results show that English textbooks of Korea and Japan depend on American/British cultures and norms. The cultural contents of English textbooks in Korea and Japan tend to focus on geography, food and drink, festivals and activities, family and education systems, etc. And English textbooks in Korea and Japan include the cultural sections in each lesson, but they don't suggest how to relate these cultural sections into the learners' real experiences. These results can be utilized as the motives from which both countries develop English education policy and textbooks in the future.

This study is a study that provides basic data and direction related to the cultural city policy of Wanju-gun. The goal of this study is to provide policy implications by analyzing domestic and overseas cases that have succeeded in cultural city policy based on case documents. This study consists of the instruction of Chapter 1, the review of cultural city policies in Chapter 2, the analysis of domestic cases in Chapter 3, the analysis of overseas cases in Chapter 4, and the conclusion of Chapter 5. Chapter 2, the Cultural City Policy Review, deals with the concept and types of cultural cities, and policy-related development projects. Chapter 3, Domestic Case Analysis, analyzed the Seoul City Urban Renewal Project, Seoul Cheonggyecheon Stream Restoration Project, and Changwon Public Art Project. Chapter 4, Overseas Case Analysis, analyzed the Kanazawa Civic Art Village in Japan, Bant 1929 in Yokohama, Japan, and Zollverein in Germany. Through these cases, we'd like to provide the successful policy direction and basic data of the cultural city of Wanju-gun.
