  • As the digital economy goes global, firms are trying to find suppliers that can address their managerial goals and strategies. The alternatives are not confined to domestic firms. Firms have been trying to connect to foreign partners worldwide. Although offshore outsourcing grants firms various benefits, they present big cultural challenges. However, there is little research on the impact of cultural or country factors on outsourcing. The goal of this paper is to synthesize the outsourcing success literature and develop propositions for outsourcing success in the context of offshore outsourcing. This paper proposes that cultural effects should be included in evaluating the success of offshore outsourcing. Knowledge sharing and the scope of outsourcing are adopted in the base outsourcing success model from previous literature. In the extended model partnership quality is included as a mediator and organizational capability and outsourcing relationship type are also included as moderator. Finally, the integrated framework of offshore outsourcing success includes cultural factors as moderators of the relationships between outsourcing success antecedents and the success of offshore outsourcing. Reasoning for propositions, managerial implications, and future research directions are discussed.

In contrast, adhocracy culture is the least important component in affecting corporate Effectiveness. Market culture is a cultural component that is ranked the second in determining corporate Effectiveness, and next is hierarchy culture which is the third. • The main objective of this study is to analyze which aspects between cultural budget or cultural activity (such as musical, theater, classic performance etc) will affect more to enhance the happiness of the local government residents. This study tries to analyze the effect of 'cultural aspect' on local residents' happiness because relatively there are not enough studies to analyze the relationship between culture and happiness. Especially, it is hard to find out studies focusing on both cultural budget and activities. According to the empirical results, the relationship between cultural budget and citizens happiness turns out to be statistically significant in the direction of the positive, while the relationship between cultural activities and citizens happiness does not turn out to be statistically significant. This finding can be justified for policy makers to increase cultural budget to make cultural city. In addition, the reason why cultural activities are not significant can be interpreted from the perspective of 'accessibility', 'degree of quality' and 'incompatibility of cultural demand of residents' and finally this study provides various policy implications.

  • Specific techniques and materials in conservation of traditional lacquer has not been transmitted. This study aims to compare the basic characteristics of the filler which used in the base layer of lacquer conservation. Tohoe(a mixture of lacquer and Clay) and the three kinds of additives which is mixed with Tohoe and Goksu(a mixture of lacquer, wood powder and rice starch) are estimated in drying rate, impact resistance, abrasion. Among those samples, the more amount of clay causes fast dryness speed and worse cracks on the surface. The impact resistance is weakened at high amount of clay. There is no significant differences of impact resistance between both additives that is mixed with the samples and additives. The samples that are mixed with Goksu and additives show high impact resistance. In the polishing test, the more amount of filling powders show higher grinding degree and the sample that are mixed with wood powder and charcoal show higher degree as well. The highest grinding degree is Maekchil and Goksu but the lowest one is the sample of the rooftile powder mixture.
