A Study on Cultivating Professional-human Resources for Manufacturing and Processing and Sales of Guamegi (과메기 제조·가공·판매 전문인력 양성 방안에 관한 연구)

  • In around of Guryongpo Pohang Port, a Guamegi production special zone is being established as modernized processing plants, cold storages, Guamegi research centers, or publicity centers are being built in a row with forming the tourism and culture streets as a start. Regarding the special Guamegi production zone, the local autonomous entities are promoting various projects as investing approximately 40 billion won as its budget; however, it is still very rare to elevate the level of Guamegi, the special product, and make investment plans to create a brand for it. To make a special product brand cannot be realized just by building the Guamegi industrialization processing complex, and mere publicity also does not guarantee sustainable development. It can be realized only when the product's taste or hygiene satisfies the people's needs. Therefore, this study examines the changes of Guamegi-related business and the strategies to develop Guamegi industry in order to find ways to manufacture Guamegi and cultivate specialized manpower for processing to make a special brand with Guamegi. Regarding the Guamegi business and the cultivation of specialized manpower for Guamegi, this study conducted a survey to 377 persons including the business owners, employees, or civil servants related with Guamegi. It is needed to install educational institutions to cultivate specialized manpower for Guamegi and also operate various programs so as to conduct education to cultivate specialized manpower for Guamegi. And it is necessary to elevate the quality and sanitation of Guamegi and create a brand by inducing a specialized license system that can help those involved in Guamegi business have pride.

A Design of Service Science Degree Program (서비스학 학위과정 프로그램개발 연구)

  • In this study, we conducted an exploratory study for designing service science as a degree program that will lead the 21st century. In the new era, the convergence of industries is accelerating and the mobility of the profession is greatly increased, so the talents to be trained in higher education will be greatly changed. We must cultivate human resources capable of creating their own jobs through competency development and cultivate talented individuals who can demonstrate creative initiative in the ecosystem where the boundaries between industries are dismantled. To this end, it is required to switch from the existing vertical majors and systems to horizontal majors, and service majors are expected to play a key role in this transition. In this study, we designed the service science degree program reflecting the changes of the new economy and reflecting the demand of the new education. The service science curriculum provides an analysis as it can award a degree as an independent major, or may serve as a sub-major or an associate major with existing majors. Service studies are expected to play the most effective role in cultivating the capabilities defined by the 21st century human resources in the World Economic Forum.

  • With the advent of the 4th industrial revolution era, many countries around the world are making efforts to prepare for a new future. In addition to changes in the industrial structure, efforts are being made to reflect new changes in the education system to cultivate human resources. As one of the important parts of change, software education is reflected as a core area of the curriculum and introduced as a future competency in order to cultivate human resources who can prepare for and lead the change into a computer-oriented intelligent information society. In this study, the purpose of this study was to examine the perceptions of pre-service teachers on software education, analyze the direction and thoughts they have about elementary school information education, and examine the necessity and direction of the subject. Based on the responses of preliminary teachers, it was suggested that project-based learning is necessary for how SW education is carried out in the school field, and they answered that the evaluation should be performed through observational evaluation. In addition, as a result of examining the perception of prospective teachers, it was possible to see the result that SW education is recognized as an important competency for preparing for the future society.

  • This study attempts to define IT high-level human resources and to investigate past IT high-level human resources development (HRD) policies in order to promote IT HRD policy efficiently. Benchmarking implications were derived from comparative studies of foreign high-level HRD policies and we suggest IT high-level HRD Policy in the framework of National Future Strategy. The results of this study are rich in implications for implementation of IT HRD related to national R&D road-map in the field of information technology, the supply spread maintenance and the vision change of high-level HRD to cultivate global competitiveness, IT-based Fusion Technology HRD, and R&D related HRD policies and action plans.

  • Demand for information security consulting is increasing as the number of major information infrastructure facilities in the country is increasing and the subject of ISMS mandatory certification is expanded. The demand for manpower also increases, but the manpower to meet the needs of industry is scarce. In order to cultivate the manpower that meets the demand, the demand of the industry should be grasped first. Therefore, this study collected and analyzed job advertisements in Korea and the United States in order to grasp the needs of industry. This will contribute to the development of policy to cultivate human resources of consultants in accordance with the future demand of the enterprise, and ultimately it will be able to solve the quality disparity of security consulting personnel.

Comparative Study of Marine Engineering Curriculum Between MMU and PMMA

  • This paper compares the marine engineering courses of two maritime institutions: Mokpo National Maritime University of Korea in the East Asia region and Philippine Merchant Marine Academy in the Southeast Asia region. It shows examines educational marine engineering programs, along with the different divisions and courses at each college. It demonstrates a divergence in methodologies and course offerings to cultivate competitive graduates. The comparative assessment completed is intended to offer broader knowledge on how each institution tackles the requirements of the STCW, and to meet the present and future demands of the maritime industry. Different course offerings are compared along with the units and hours allocated to each subject, and the differences in marine engineering academic and training requirements to graduate. Students must satisfactorily earn 150 units to complete their choice of major. Statistical procedures were used in this assessment and analysis from Excel programs.

  • Most of the Medical Junior Colleges faced new environmental changes: School years of some Health-related departments were extended from two-year program to three-year ones; The total high school graduates willing to apply to the colleges will fall short of the legal number limits of this country; Govorment's educational opening policies enables competitive foreign schools to land in our country more easily. In order to survive under these turbulant circumstances, any junior college has to cultivate it's own competitiveness establishing strategies and utilizing resources very efficiently. Some of the major points extracted from three-year junior college professors' opinions against the environmental changes are as follows, 1. Environmental changes should be fully appreciated. And junior colleges have to make haste to establish strategies placing priorities on specific fields which are their own strengths compared to others. 2. The crieria of provisions of miminstry of Education on the facilities and equipments should be enhanced. 3. The practical way to use available resources effectively is to make the best of human resources. 4. It is time to consider consolidating akin departments to one. 5. The school year of the health-related departments should be extended to four years to meet the contemporary needs in the medical fields.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of Student Majoring in Flight Operation's propensity, safety behavior and aeronautical decision-making. According to the analysis results, First, parents' criticism of perfectionism factor is found to have a negative effect on safety behavior. Second, student pilot's proactive personality has a positive impact on both safety participation behavior and safety compliance behavior. Third, both safety participation behavior and safety compliance behavior are found to have a significant effect on situation awareness, solution generation and solution implementation of decision making stages. Therefore, this study is intended to provide useful basic data that can be applied to studies such as appropriate psychological counseling, optimal training directions and teaching methods in order to cultivate excellent human resources through safe flight training.

  • A food coordinator and a food stylist have become one of the prospective jobs in the food industry. Nonetheless, they have not been definitely classified, even regarded as the same meaning. This study was conducted to investigate the different characteristics and job requirements between food coordinators and food stylists by examining the curricula for food coordinators and food stylists of related departments in 13 colleges. According to the result of this study, the definitions of them in the job category have not been clearly distinguished. It was also showed that the job domain of food coordinators was broader than that of food stylists. Therefore, education curricula related to this field need to be reviewed to cultivate the human resources who fit the job requirements for food coordinators and food stylists respectively.

  • Purpose: The current education curriculum centering on the national examination can not train the human resources needed for the clinic. Therefore, we would like to develop a curriculum for practical education and cultivate talented people capable of working in clinical practice at the same time. Methods: This study investigates the importance and utilization of the subjects by using qualitative and quantitative mixed research methods through interviews with FGI and structured questionnaires for grades 2,3,4. Results: In order to carry out the related work, all the subjects need more practical training, and the curriculum that can learn the latest prostheses such as CAD / CAM, implant, 3D printer, Conclusion: In order to carry out the related tasks immediately after graduation, practical education through improvement of curriculum is needed.
