'우리 몸의 구조와 기능' 애니메이션 제작을 활용한 프로그램 개발 및 적용 효과 (The Development and Application Effects of STEAM Program Utilizing Animation Production about 'Structure and Function of the Our Body')

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of STEAM program on students' academic achievement, creative problem-solving ability, scientific inquiry ability and scientific interests of elementary school students. For this, we developed a STEAM program to utilize animation production about 'structure and function of the our body' unit in 5th grade. The STEAM program was developed for a total of 9 sessions and was applied to the experimental group. The theoretical lesson of the 2009 revised curriculum was consisted of 11 sessions and was applied to the comparative group. The results of study showed significant differences of the students' academic achievement, creative problem-solving ability to the experimental group participating in the STEAM program and also showed significant effects in the domains of subject contents and teacher preference, which are the areas of scientific interests compared to the comparative group. This means that the STEAM program to utilize animation production about 'structure and function of the our body' developed in consideration of the characteristics of elementary students positively influenced the academic achievement, creative problem-solving ability and scientific interests of elementary school students. In the future we need to develop STEAM programs more variously that utilize animation production and that it needs to be applied to elementary schools.

관계적 이해와 창의적 수학 문제발견능력과의 상관관계 분석 (An Analysis of Correlation between Relational Understanding and Creative Math Problem Finding Ability)

  • 본 연구는 관계적 이해와 창의적 수학 문제발견능력이 유의한 상관관계가 있는지를 알아보기 위하여 중학교 2학년 학생 186명을 대상으로 관계적 이해 검사와 문제발견능력 검사를 실시하였다. 이를 위해 문제발견능력을 수학화 능력, 수학적 개념 결합능력, 수학적 사실 확장능력의 세 가지 하위요소로 분류하여 관계적 이해와의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 연구 결과에 따르면, 관계적 이해는 문제발견능력의 수학화 능력과 수학적 개념 결합능력의 창의성과는 매우 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 비록 관계적 이해와 수학적 사실 확장능력과는 통계적으로 유의미한 상관관계를 얻지는 못했으나, 학생들의 검사에 따른 응답율과 점수를 분석한 결과 관계적 이해수준이 높은 학생들의 유추능력과 귀납추리능력에서 높은 응답율과 점수를 얻었다. 따라서 본 연구를 통하여 수학에 대한 관계적 이해가 창의적 수학 문제발견능력에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다.

초등학생의 창의적 과학문제해결과정 분석 (Analysis of Creative Science Problem Solving Process of Elementary School Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the process of creative science problem solving (CSPS) in elementary school students. To do this, 6 graders (n=9) at a elementary school in Seoul were participated. In this study, fixed eye-tracker with 250 Hz sampling and observation camera were used. The results of this study, the students with higher ability to solve creative science problems had a slower saccade, and had more visual attention on core clues and a greater number of eye changes. Therefore, students with higher ability to solve creative science problems showed more effective eye movement and faster information processing to solve problems. The CSPS types of elementary students were classified as 'declarative knowledge type', 'procedural knowledge type', 'conditional knowledge type', 'knowledge lack type'. Because each type appears to be complementary, CSPS process for elementary students who have integrated the four types was devised. The results of this study can be used as basic data for understanding elementary school students' CSPS and will help to develop and guide creative science teaching and learning programs useful to elementary school students and science gifted students.

중학생의 창의적 문제해결력과 협업 능력 함양을 위한 바느질실습 프로그램 개발 및 적용 (The Development and Application of Sewing Practice Program for Improvement of Middle School Students' Creative Problem Solving Ability and Collaborative Ability)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 바느질실습 프로그램을 개발하고 적용하여 중학생의 창의적 문제해결력 및 협업 능력에 미치는 효과를 검증하는 것이다. 본 연구 대상은 중학교 1학년 학생들이고, 연구 설계는 사전-사후 통제 집단 설계를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 창의적 문제해결력의 하위 요소인 확산적 사고력과 설득력에서 실험 집단의 학생이 통제 집단의 학생에 비해 사후검사 점수가 유의하게 높게 향상을 보여, 이 연구에서 개발한 프로그램이 부분적이나마 중학생의 창의적 문제해결력 함양에 미치는 효과를 입증하였다. 질적 분석 결과, 창의적 문제해결력은 '다양한 아이디어 생성', '창의적 아이디어의 재탄생', '자기주도적 학습', '능동적인 문제 해결', '즉각적인 피드백'의 학습 경험과 연관이 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 실험 집단의 학생이 통제 집단의 학생에 비해 협업 능력에서 사후검사 점수가 유의하게 높게 나타나 이 연구에서 개발한 프로그램이 중학생의 협업 능력 함양에 미치는 효과를 입증하였다. 질적 분석 결과 협업 능력은 '긍정적인 모둠 분위기 형성', '모둠원과의 지속적인 상호작용', '함께 활동하기'의 학습 경험과 연관이 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 이상의 결과로 이 연구에서 개발한 프로그램이 연구의 목적을 달성하는 데 적합함을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 학생 중심의 바느질실습 수업을 설계하여 수업의 효과를 양적 분석방법과 질적 분석방법을 혼합하여 심층적으로 살펴보았다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

어머니의 특성이 영재유아와 일반유아의 창의성에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Mothers' Characteristics on the Creativity of Gifted and Non-gifted Preschool Children)

  • Maternal personality, creative personality, and parenting self-efficacy were included in mothers' characteristics. Participants were 89 gifted and 147 non-gifted preschool children and their mothers. Instruments were the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking(Torrance, 1984; 김영채, 2002), Revised NEO-Personality Inventory(Costa & MaCrae, 1992), What Kind of Person Are You Scale of the Khatena-Torrance Creative Perception Inventory(Khatena & Torrance, 1976; 김영채, 2004), and Parenting Self-Efficacy Scale(최형성 & 정옥분, 2001). Results showed Disciplined Imagination of gifted preschoolers' mothers influenced children's Abstractness of Creativity, General Parenting Ability influenced Originality of Creativity, and Learning Guidance Ability influenced Abstractness of Titles of Creativity. Regarding non-gifted children, the Neuroticism, Acceptance of Authority and General Parenting Ability of mothers selectively influenced children's Abstractness and Elaborativeness of Creativity.

A Study on Influential Factors in Mathematics Modeling Academic Achievement

  • Utilizing the path analysis method, the study explores the relationships among the influential factors in mathematics modeling academic achievement. The following conclusions are drawn: 1. Achievement motivation, creative inclination, cognitive style, the mathematical cognitive structure and mathematics modeling self-monitoring ability, those have significant correlation with mathematics modeling academic achievement; 2. Mathematical cognitive structure and mathematics modeling self-monitoring ability have significant and regressive effect on mathematics modeling academic achievement, and two factors can explain 55.8% variations of mathematics modeling academic achievement; 3. Achievement motivation, creative inclination, cognitive style, mathematical cognitive structure have significant and regressive effect on mathematics modeling self-monitoring ability, and four factors can explain 70.1% variations of mathematics modeling self-monitoring ability; 4. Achievement motivation, creative inclination, and cognitive style have significant and regressive effect on mathematical cognitive structure, and three factors can explain 40.9% variations of mathematical cognitive structure.

영화를 활용한 융합인재교육 프로그램이 초등과학영재의 창의적 인성, 창의적 문제해결력 및 과학적 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of STEAM Education Program using Movies on the Creative Personality, Creative Problem-solving Ability and Scientific Attitude of Elementary Scientific Gifted)

  • 본 연구에서는 초등과학영재를 위하여 영화를 매개체로 하는 융합인재교육 프로그램을 개발하고 이를 교육현장에 적용하여 초등과학영재들의 창의적 문제해결력과 창의적 인성, 그리고 과학적 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였으며 그 연구 결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 영화를 활용한 융합인재교육 프로그램은 초등과학영재의 창의적 인성 향상에 효과적이었으며, 특히 인내/집착, 자기확신, 유머감, 호기심, 상상, 개방성, 모험심, 독립심 영역에 있어서 그 차이가 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 영화를 활용한 융합인재교육 프로그램은 초등과학영재의 창의적 문제해결력 향상에 효과적이었으며, 특히 실험계획세우기, 창의적 문제해결력 영역에 있어서 그 차이가 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 영화를 활용한 융합인재교육 프로그램은 초등과학영재의 과학적 태도 향상에 효과적이었으며, 특히 호기심, 개방성, 비판성, 협동성, 자진성, 끈기성, 창의성 영역에 있어서 그 차이가 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구결과로 볼 때, 영화를 활용한 융합인 재교육 프로그램은 초등학교 과학영재학생들의 창의적 인성, 창의적 문제해결력, 과학적 태도 향상에 효과적이라고 볼 수 있다.

교구로봇을 활용한 활동이 유아의 논리-수학적 지식과 창의적 문제해결능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Activities using Hands-on Robots on Logic-Mathematical Knowledge and Creative Problem-Solving Ability of Young Children)

  • Robots are used in early childhood education as a new instructional media, and educational activities using robots have been increased. So the purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of educational activities using hands-on robots on logic-mathematical knowledge and creative problem-solving ability of young children. The total number of subjects was 43, and they were all five-year-old children. The experimental group and control group did activities with hands-on robots and general free activities, respectively. Results using ANCONA have shown that the activities with hands-on robots positively affected logic-mathematical knowledge and creative problem-solving ability of young children. These meaningful results have shown the possibility of early childhood educational use as the effectiveness of hands-on robots has come out.

비판(-창의)적 사고의 문제 해결 과정과 기량을 활용한 창의 공학 설계 교육 (Creative Engineering Design Education Utilizing the Problem-solving Process and Skills of Critico(-Creative) Thinking)

  • ABEEK recommends convergent engineering projects to nurture creative problem-solving ability for 1st year engineering students through 'Creative Engineering Design' course. However, 1st year engineering students, who have not yet studied core subjects in engineering, have difficulties understanding and coping with the challenges posed by the engineering-related projects. For this reason, the educational objectives of this course are usually frustrating to achieve by the instructor. In this paper, by using the problem-solving process and skills of critico(-creative) thinking, we prepare guidelines for creative engineering design education that allow 1st-year students to effectively participate in engineering projects without a complete understanding of the design process which is to be studied. Also, we present a case study that applies the guidelines to an on-going creative engineering design course and discusses the outcomes by showing student-generated works. The results showed that the intuitive content and everyday expression of critico(-creative) thinking education enabled the instructor to effectively guide their students through the requirements of engineering projects without relying on advanced engineering design methods, and that the application of these guidelines also helped improve students' communication skills, including presentation. We show that the guidelines for creative engineering design education utilizing the problem-solving process and skills of critico(-creative) thinking is not only contributing to achieving the educational objectives of the creative engineering design course but can also be an educational paradigm that incorporates critico(-creative) thinking education into engineering education.

창의적 체험활동 프로그램이 과학개념 및 자기주도적 학습능력에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Science Lessons Using Creative Activities on Scientific Concepts and Self Directed Learning Ability)

  • This study is to find out that the effects of a creative experience activity program to scientific concepts and self-directed learning skills. This study has been aimed at 2 class 40 students of 4th grade in D metropolitan city A elementary school in 2015, one class 20 students are the research group to apply Scientific research program using creative experience activity, another class 20 students were comparison groups to apply general science classes. The related class section of this study is 4th grade 2 semester of science 4 chapters, 'The Earth and the moon' This section is in fourth grade elementary science curriculum revision in 2009 is a Sections to learn for the first time about astronomical area. Target research group in club activities as part of the creative activities implemented using scientific inquiry and analyzed the results. In addition, in order to better research based on the results of this study as follows. First, the science curriculum in elementary schools, as well as applied research about the creative experience activity classes in other subjects is required. The ongoing research is needed to classes utilizing the characteristics of creative experience activities in several subjects of the elementary school curriculum. Second, Creative experiential learning is only effective when it is done consistently, it is worth studying for long periods of time.
