  • The forthcoming twenty-first century is at the mercy of information and culture. A quality of humanlife is under the control of a cultural level. A nation's creative culture and a cultural level represent all things about the nation; and a national image, as a whole result of culture, is enormously influential. This new era of culturalism gives us a significant responsibility for getting ready for the late industrial society by practically harmonizing rationality of modem culture with conception of traditional culture. Industrializing culture and culturalizing industry will be the most important strategy for existence in these days of borderless international competitiveness. Cultural products which is containing a nation's own culture can not only enhance the national image, but also become high value-added industry. While general products are developed for the purpose of convenient and practical use, cultural products are created with the intention of informing international society about a nation or a region. In order to confront with a global market system and a change of cultural environment, it is necessary to create a proper design with cultural inheritance for modem likes and senses, to produce the design on a commercial scale, and to strengthen its competitiveness on international markets. In order that a commodity is born, distributed throughout markets, and delivered to a final consumer, it is essential to understand complicated process such as development, distribution and marketing of products and to systematize each part. Although we should not neglect any part, a political and systemical plan or a distributional and marketing idea will be beside the point in this article. This article presents importance of traditional patterns as a Korean cultural image, and it shows the process of designing and developing products in order for traditional patterns to be utilized for products effectively. I expect that concrete activation and systematization for those works can be carried out successively.

  • The introduction of the Digital Economy has formed a new market producing and trading information. Depending on the current contexts, each user evaluates identical information differently. It is difficult, even though important, to create and deliver the information customized to individual users by using some factors as time, location, and their personal characteristics. Information value, therefore, could be influenced by the capability of information systems to delivery useful information based on individual contexts to the right user immediately at the right time. From this point of view, we argue mobile systems which are able to be aware of individual contexts and deliver contextual information in real time can improve information value easily than other systems can. This research presents the results of an empirical test about antecedents to mobile advertising value. Though context relevance doesn't influence directly mobile advertising value, it plays an important role enhancing information usefulness which has great influence on mobile advertising value. Moreover, to supply information connected with users' context overcomes the effect of irritation. Lastly, entertainment can improve mobile advertising value as satisfying user's hedonic desire beyond the information source supporting decision making.

  • Design exists behind technology. Design is intertwined with the needs of daily life and market structures, and while dealing with technology, it can become insensitive to its meaning. Unlike other social media platforms, Instagram consists of image-based content. The purpose of this study is to examine the addictive design of Instagram. Furthermore, we discuss the ethical responsibilities that designers must have. A theoretical framework for understanding Instagram design is established through a review of major domestic and international literature that has been previously studied. Understand the history, structure, and functions of Instagram and identify Instagram designs that promote social media addiction. In this study, we introduced the mechanism by which Instagram promotes user addiction through design issues. (1) Pull-to-Refresh (2) Red color in push alarm (3) Profile photo border expression in Instagram Story. This design stimulates users' social desires and FOMO, forming the structure of obsessive Instagram usage habits. Instagram is an example that forces us to reconsider the ethical role of design and designers along with the advancement of technology. In today's world, the intrinsic value of what they create, including our society and life itself.

  • This study investigates the perception among college students on business ethics using Q methodology. The respondents are 34 business-major students attending a national university or a private university. The students are asked to choose words that, they think, would best represent business ethics. Results are as follows. First, we divide words related to business ethics into four types. and the explanatory power of type I, type II, type III and type IV are 25.72%, 10.87%, 6.49%, and 5.14% respectively, or 48.21% collectively. Type-I words are related to 'corporate social responsibility', type-II ones to 'sustainable management', type-III ones to 'integral management', and type-IV ones to 'responsible management', respectively. Results show that there is no significant difference in business ethics perceptions between the respondents from two different schools. Few of the sample students have ever taken a business ethics class before. The students perceive 'management philosophy and values', 'rules and regulations', and 'voluntary involvement of market participants in management,' as important factors to create a management environment for business ethics. In the $21^{st}$ century firms will be more sustainable by implementing business ethics. Therefore ethical management is not only a management philosophy but also a business strategy for a firm to survive.

  • Laos is rich in natural resources but lacks the capital to develop them. Partly alleviating the shortage is FDI from neighboring countries, especially Thailand. Not only does this contribute to directly increasing GDP by increasing effective demand, it also has an additional GDP increase effect by expanding Laos' production capacity. Laos' exports mostly consist of mineral resources and electricity. This, too, contributes to an increase in GDP by increasing the effective demand. Thailand accounts for more than 40 percent of Laos' exports. This paper tries to confirm the economic impact on Laos in Thailand through a econometric analysis of Laos' GDP, Laos' exports to Thailand and Thailand's FDI to Laos. It turns out that economic ties with Thailand, including exports to Thailand and Thailand's FDI, play a very important role in Laos' economic growth. Laos recently recorded relatively robust economic growth, but its driving force is weak. That's because Laos' growth engines are very limited and have no resilience to external shocks. Moreover, economic growth has not been linked to an increase in employment because the economy is not diversified and growth in the hydroelectric power sector does not lead to growth in other sectors. Given this, Laos needs to actively take advantage of its geographical proximity to Thailand. It is necessary to create a more active environment for the inflow of FDI in Thailand, to foster resource-based and labor-based manufacturing to take advantage of the Thai market.

  • Objective: The aim of this study was to compare old standard EN 954-1 and new standard EN ISO 13849-1 through case study and provide necessity of adaptation of EN ISO 13849-1 in Korea. Background: International and EU harmonized standard EN ISO 13849 "safety of machinery - Safety-related parts of control system" is classified into Part 1: General principles for design and Part 2: Validation. EN ISO 13849-1 standard was introduced in Official Journal of the European Union on September 8, 2009 as harmonized standard, and old standard EN 954-1 was withdrawn on December 31, 2011. So, EU decided to use of EN ISO 13849-1 standard forcibly from January 1, 2012 for safety of machinery. New machines need to be CE marked if they are to be placed on the market in the European Economic Area(EEA), Switzerland or Turkey, and Korean machine builder should apply EN ISO 3849-1 standard for safety of machinery accordingly. However, current Korean Safety Certification system(KCs mark) for dangerous machinery is not referred to EN ISO 13849-1 standard as safety standard. There is a need of research for adaptation of EN ISO 13849-1 standard in Korea as safety standards for new design of safety-related control system which use mostly electronic components. Method: Five case studies of representative designs for safety-related control system in accordance with EN 954-1were selected according to safety category from B to 4. And these five representative designs were tried to change new design in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1 standard. The results of comparison were analyzed in aspect of economy and technical complexity. Results: The results showed that EN ISO 13849-1 provided quantitative method of application and it enabled designers to create safety-related control systems that require fewer components and less wiring, with many of the components being to a lower specification and, therefore, less costly. Conclusion: EN ISO 13849-1 standard is good for electronic safety-related control systems compare to EN 954-1. By considering the importance of application of EN ISO 13849-1 and benefits, the application of EN ISO 13849-1 as safety standard for safety of machinery is urgent in Korea. Application: The results of comparing EN 954-1 and EN ISO 13849-1 standard might help to determine the adaptation of EN ISO 13849-1 standard for safety of industrial machinery in Korea.

  • The rapid advancement of digital technology and the COVID-19 pandemic have significantly accelerated the growth of online commerce, highlighting the need for support mechanisms that enable small business owners to effectively respond to these market changes. In response, this paper presents a foundational technology leveraging the Online to Offline (O2O) strategy to automatically capture products displayed on retail shelves and utilize these images to create virtual stores. The essence of this research lies in precisely identifying and recognizing the location and names of displayed products, for which a single-class-targeted, lightweight model based on YOLOv8, named ESD-YOLOv8, is proposed. The detected products are identified by their names through feature-point-based technology, equipped with the capability to swiftly update the system by simply adding photos of new products. Through experiments, product name recognition demonstrated an accuracy of 74.0%, and position detection achieved a performance with an F2-Score of 92.8% using only 0.3M parameters. These results confirm that the proposed method possesses high performance and optimized efficiency.

  • As the world is in the age of globalization and information, we observe diverse changes in the market environment. Since wide-spread internet services and global networks made ubiquitous learning and business possible, equalizing consumers' ideology and preference, new trend and life style could be introduced easily. This study stipulates on the theoretical concept of the wellbeing consumer and LOHAS consumer. Consumers of LOHAS could be sampled out through pre-questionnaire targeting at selected food, clothing, and shelter based on companies of both wellbeing and general brands. Through this it is attempted to measure wellbeing emotion, recognition quotient of emotion and reason, affirmation and negation, mental emotion quotient, and preference in order to find out their value and to ultimately come up with what web design should be aiming at. Conclusions are as follows: Firstly, consumers easily recognize emotional identification from the web pages of wellbeing brand, rather than that of general brands. Secondly, what web pages of wellbeing brand recognize is reason, not emotion. Thirdly, the design of wellbeing brands scored higher than those of general brands in terms of positive aspects such as hospitality and familiarity, and high mental emotion quotient could not affect the consumers' preference toward web design. Fourthly, wellbeing brands win more preference than general brands do, and preference becomes higher after customers' visit to web pages basically. Lastly, sampled emotional adjectives toward the web designs of wellbeing brands marked a aesthetic graph figure, without leaning toward an active or stable one. It is expected that this study can serve as a groundwork to create proper strategies to actively involve consumers in industrial sphere.
