노치 형상 및 장약조건의 변화에 따른 균열발생양상에 관한 연구 (Study on the Crack Generation Patterns with Change in the Geometry of Notches and Charge Conditions)

  • 암반발파에서 평활한 파단면을 확보하고 굴착손상영역을 제어하기 위하여 노치장약공을 이용한 균열제어공법이 제안되었다. 본 연구에서는 노치형상과 장약조건이 균열발생 및 성장에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 날개형 노치장약공을 갖는 발파모델을 구축하고 동적 파괴과정 해석법을 이용한 암반 파괴과정 해석을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 노치 길이가 증가함에 균열의 성장 길이가 증가하며 파단면의 거칠기가 감소하고 장약공 상하부에 손상균열의 발생이 억제되는 경향을 보였다. 해석결과로부터 노치 길이 및 개구 폭에 따른 응력집중계수의 변화 및 균열발생 양상을 비교 분석하여 균열제어에 미치는 영향인자에 대하여 고찰하였다.

  • The fracture of a hot rolled SM 45C steel plate was investigated for various crack ratio, thickness and loading point using the method of J-integral. It was found that the stable crack growth increased as the thickness and crack ratio of the specimen. The results are summerized as follows. 1. The more crack ratio increase, the less fracture toughness tend to. 2. Considering fracture toughness, a thin specimen is stronger a thick one. 3. Considering only the bending of specimen without thickings of the axial direction, we can get $J_{1c}$ value decreased about 10 percentage within the scope of experimental crack ratio.

확률 유한요소해석법을 이용한 피로수명 및 강도해석 (Analysis of Fatigue Life and Fracture Toughness Using Probabilistic Finite Element Method)

  • Data which gathered and used in the field of fatigue and fracture mechanics have a lot of uncertainties. In this case, those uncertainties will make scatter band in evaluation of fatigue life and fracture toughness. Thus, the probabilistic analysis of these data will be needed. For determining the fatigue life in mixed mode, using crack direction law and fatigue crack growth law, the problem is studied as a constrained life minimization. Stress intensity factor(SIF) is computed by approximate solution table(Ewalds/Wanhill 1984) and 0th order PFEM. The variance of fatigue life and SIF are computed by differentiation of tabulated approximate solution and 1st order PFEM. And these are used for criterion of design values, principal parameter determination and modelling. The problem of center cracked plate is solved for checking the PFEM model which is influenced by various parameters like as initial crack length, final crack length, two fatigue parameters in Paris Equation and applied stress.

  • The applications of fracture mechanics have traditionally concentrated on cracks loaded by tensile stresses, and growing under an opening or mode I mechanism. However, many cases of failures occur from growth of cracks subjected to mixed mode loading. Several criteria have been proposed regarding the crack growth direction under mixed mode loadings. This paper is aimed at investigation of fatigue crack growth behaviour under mixed mode(I+II) with variation of angle and pre-crack length in two dimensional branched type precrack. Especially the direction of fatigue crack propagation was predicted and effective stress intensity factor was calculated by finite element analysis(FEA. In this paper, the maximum tangential stress(MTS) criterion was used to predict crack growth direction. Not only experiment but also finite element analysis was carried out and the theoretical predictions were compared with experimental results.

  • The purpose of a fatigue crack arrest design is to prevent a fatigue fracture of machine and structure resulted from unstable crack growth. In all cases of load transfer to second elements such as stringers, doublers or flanges, crack arrest is possible; arrest occurring when the fatigue crack reaches the second element. In the present work, a numerical analysis was carried out to estimate the effect of shape parameters on fatigue crack growth and arrest behavior of integrally stiffened panels. Based on these results, a set of fatigue crack arrest design chart is presented as "non-dimensional arrest load - thickness ratio" relationship.

  • 본 논문에서는 불균일한 접착 상태를 가지는 복합재 접착 체결 시편에 대하여 모드 I 하중에서의 파괴 특성을 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 Double Cantilever Beam(DCB) 시험을 수행하였으며 모드 I 파괴 인성을 도출하였다. 불균일한 접착 상태를 갖는 시편의 경우 안정한 균열 성장 구간과 불안정한 균열 성장 구간이 나타남을 확인하였다. DCB 시험에서 구한 하중-변위 선도와 시편의 파손 단면을 통해 각 구간의 파괴 특성을 관찰하였다. 시험에서 측정된 균열 길이를 기준으로 세분화된 구간과 각 구간의 모드 I 파괴 인성을 이용하여 유한요소해석을 수행하였다. DCB 시험 결과와 유한요소해석 결과를 통해 불균일한 접착 상태를 가지는 시편의 파괴 거동을 모사할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 본 연구는 노치가 있는 구조물의 피로수명 예측 평가에 대하여 연구하였다. DEN시험편에 대한 피로균열 발생수명과 피로균열 성장수명은 SIF K해석에서 유도한 식과 Paris의 균열성장 식을 사용하였다. 예측평가 결과는 일정하중 진폭 하에서의 실험적 균열성장거동과 잘 일치하는 결과를 보였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 ASTM E561-80에서 제안한 방법과는 달리, 반복하중시 측정된 각각의 compliance를 상호비교인자로 활용하여 증가 균열길이를 간접적으로 구하고, 이 값들을 균혈성장 동안에 흡수된 비탄성 에너지를 고려한 변형에너지 해방율개념에 적용하여 구한 저항곡선의 해석으로부터 콘크리트의 불안정 균열성장 개시점을 구하였으며, 또한 굵은골재 최대수치와 시편의 두께변화가 임계파괴인성치에 미치는 영향 등을 고찰하였다.

티타늄 용접재의 피로크랙 성장거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fatigue Crack Growth Behavior of Titanium Welding Material)

  • In this study, specimens were classified four welded specimens and a base metal to investigate fatigue life and crack growth rate of pure titanium welding materials, and Ti was used in turbine equipment of nuclear power generation, etc. The summarized results are as follows; 1) Specimen-2 was bigger 712% than base metal, when it was compared with other welding materials, 2) As the result of specimens data, specimen-2 crack behavior rate res lower 30 times than base metal, and so total fracture life was very influenced by it, 3) Notch tip of Specimen-2 was offsetted 6.7mm from boundary H.A.Z, and if formed 25% in total fracture length, 4) As the considering of da/dN and $\Delta$K, Paris' law is incongruous in this study, because fro inclines nsf on one date.

Al 7075-T651의 부식피로균열 성장 거동에 관한 연구(II) (A Study on Corrosion Fatigue Crack Growth Behavior in Al 7075-T651(II))

  • Fatigue crack growth rates in commercial plate of high strength Al 7075-T651 were investigated for the T-L direction in air, water and sea water. In this paper the effect of cyclic load wave-form(trapezoid and triangle) on fatigue crack growth rates in air, water and sea water environments were investigated using standard LEFM testing procedures. It was founded that the fatigue crack growth behaviors were not affected by cyclic load wave-forms. In region II (stable crack growth region), the fatigue crack growth behaviors were insensitive to cyclic load wave-forms and were sensitive to environment i.e. fatigue crack growth behaviors were higher in sea water than in air for all cyclic load wave-form. The result of fractographical morphology in air, water and sea water by SEM showed obvious dimple rupture and typical striation in air, but transgranular fracture surface in water and sea water. The values m are not affected by corrosion environments but C are different values.
