This paper presents a priori and the local font classification method. The font classification uses ascenders, descenders, and serifs extracted from a word image. The gradient features of those sub-images are extracted, and used as an input to a neural network classifier to produce font classification results. The font classification determines 2-font styles (upright or slant), 3-font groups (serif, sans serif, or typewriter), and 7-font names (PostScript fonts such as Avant Garde, Helvetica, Bookman, New Century Schoolbook, Palatino, Times, or Courier). The proposed a priori and local font classification method allows an OCR system consisting of various font-specific character segmentation tools and various mono-font character recognizers.

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to derive the performance improvement factors of courier corporations that operate global franchise systems as business strategies through their brands and to determine. Research design, data, and methodology - In the first study, 129 valid questionnaire sheets were analyzed. In the second study intended to determine whether the four performance improvement factors derived in the first study have positive effects on franchisees' business performance, 781 valid questionnaire sheets secured from six GDFFs were analyzed using AMOS analysis. Results - In the first study, four performance improvement factors were derived. In the second study, hypotheses regarding whether the performance improvement factors: leadership, communication, education and training, and brand, have positive effects on franchisees' business performance were tested, and as a result, one hypothesis was rejected and three hypotheses were adopted. Conclusions - The first and largest contribution of this study is that it derived performance improvement factors from GDFFs. The second contribution is that it determined whether the performance improvement factors that were derived have positive effects on franchisees' business performance with tests. The third contribution is that it created significant implications in terms of other studies, research value, and applications in industry fields.

A composite - discrete courier transform (CDFT) is developed, which can diagonalize a real symmetric circulant matrix. In general the circulant matrices can be diagonalized by the discrete Fourier transform (DFT). With the analysis of the variance distributions of the DFT and CDFT for the general symmetric covariance matrix of real signals, the DFT and CDFT are compared with respect to the rate distortion performance measure. The results show that the CDFT is more efficient than the DFT in bit rate reduction. In addition, for a particular 64$\times$64 points covariance matrix (f(q)=(0.95)q), the amount of the relative average bit rate reduction for the CDFT with respect to the DFT is obtained by 0.0095 bit with a numerical calculation.

We intended to show some basic requirements for spectrum analysis of electroencephalogram (EEG) by visualizing the differences of the results according to different values of some parameters for analysis. Spectrum analysis is the most popular technique applied for the quantitative analysis of the electroen- cephalographic signals. Each step from signal acquisition through spectrum analysis to presentation of parameters was examined with providing some different values of parameters. The steps are:(1) signal acquisition; (2) spectrum analysis; (3) parameter extractions; and (4) presentation of results. In the step of signal acquisition, filtering and amplification of signal should be considered and sampling rate for analog-to-digital conversion is two-time faster than highest frequency component of signal. For the spectrum analysis, the length of signal or epoch size transformed to a function on frequency domain by courier transform is important. Win dowing method applied for the pre-processing before the analysis should be considered for reducing leakage problem. In the step of parameter extraction, data reduction has to be considered so that statistical comparison can be used in appropriate number of parameters. Generally, the log of power of all bands is derived from the spectrum. For good visualization and quantitative evaluation of time course of the parameters are presented in chronospectrogram.

This study investigates graduate competencies that can improve the uptake of higher education graduate outcomes in the working environment in Indonesia. This research was conducted by collecting data through sending questionnaires directly by the research team, via courier, or via postal service to respondents. A survey with questionnaire is carried out on April 2019, and the data from 117 respondents was analyzed. The sample population was all private higher education in the area of the I-XIV Higher Education Service Institution in Indonesia. This study employs factor analysis and structural equation modelling. The results show that the Graduates' competencies had a significant direct effect on the uptake of higher education graduates in the job market. The indirect effect of a Diploma Supplement and networking as mediation has a level of influence that is higher than the direct effect of graduate competence on the uptake of higher education graduate outcomes in the job market. The findings suggest that the Diploma Supplement and networking can increase the uptake of higher education graduates in Indonesia as expected by stakeholders and be able to compete in the global or international scale of environmental working. The professionalism of lecturers has a significant influence on the quality of learning.

1. Objectives Herbal Extracts are used in Korean Oriental Medicine clinics. The sixty eight kinds of single herbal extracts and fifty six kinds of mixed herbal extracts has been using since the first year of execution of Korean medicine national insurance policy in 1987. This paper was performed to make a guideline of using herbal extracts. Single herbal extracts and mixed herbal extracts were discussed and classified according to Sasang constition. 2. Methods The sixty eight single herbal extracts were classified into four categories according to Sasang Constitution and fifty six mixed herbal extracts were classified by six Korean oriental medical doctors. Mixed herbal extracts were considered in terms of drug roles[sovereign, minister, assistant and courier(君臣佐使)] or most included ingredient herb. 3. Results Sasang constitutions which were suitable for fifty six mixed herbal extracts were Soeumin(46.4%), mixed constitution(39.2%) and Soyangin(8.9%), Taeeumin(5.3%). Sasang constitutions which were suitable for sixty eight single herbal extracts were Soeumin(47.1%), Soyangin(32.4%) and Taeeumin(20.6%). 4. Conclusions The rate of Soeumin herbal extracts was the most highest among all constitutions. It is regarded that warming and enforcing herb medicine were most used in all prescriptions.

오늘날 스마트폰, 태블릿과 같은 모바일 디바이스가 등장하고, 무선 네트워크의 기술이 향상되면서 모바일 쇼핑 이용률이 높아지고 있다. 이에 따라 택배의 사용률도 증가하고 있는데, 택배를 수령하는 일반적인 방법으로 직접 수령하는 것과 공동 택배 보관 장소를 통해 수령하는 것이 있다. 그러나 이러한 방법들은 택배기사와 시간을 정해야 하는 번거로움, 택배기사를 위장한 범죄, 그리고 공동 택배 보관 장소에서의 택배 분실 등과 같은 문제점이 존재한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 1인 가구와 택배 수령에 어려움을 겪는 가구를 위한 개인 택배 보관 시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 안드로이드 어플리케이션에서 택배에 부착된 바코드를 스캔하여 그 정보를 아두이노와 블루투스 통신을 통해 전달한다. 이때, 아두이노는 미리 저장된 운송장 번호와 수신한 운송장 번호를 비교하여 택배 보관 시스템의 잠금 장치를 열고 닫는다.

It is estimated that about 2,515 persons have been injured by conveyor for the past five years(2013 ~ 2017). Conveyors used in various industrial sites for transporting iron ore, coal, courier goods, etc., have various incidents such as a worker putting on or pulling a part of the body or work clothes on the driving part during maintenance. It is necessary for preventing similar accidents to conduct various researches. In order to propose the basis for revising laws and standards for the safety standards of the full cord switch to prevent conveyor accidents, this study compares Korea's Industrial Safety and Health Law (KISHL) with those of IEC, EN, Canada, and Australia. In addition, surveys of conveyor use plant and full cord switch domestic and foreign manufacturers was conducted. In this study, domestic and overseas related laws and technical standards compare and analyze to prevent conveyor accidents. In addition, we propose extension of safety certification for full code switch, establishment of safety inspection standard, and improvement of working method regulation through actual working condition investigation. It can be used as a basis for revising the occupational safety and health regulation and related notices, and thus contributing to enhancing the safe atmosphere of the conveyor business and improving the safety consciousness of the concerned persons.

Background: Motorcycles are one of the important members of commercial transportation because of the convenient use during congested traffic conditions and the ease of parking in narrow streets. This study investigates the characteristics of crashes and traffic signal violations caused by motorcycle couriers. Methods: From the national compensation data, this study analyzed the traffic crashes caused by 671 motorcycle couriers. Results: Among 671 injured couriers, 50.6% were aged less than 40 years, 49.2% run in a small business of <5 employees, and 47.2% had work experience of <6 months. Motorcycle crashes occurred mainly due to "rider overturned alone" (67.5%), in the daytime (73.5%), or on cloudy or clear days (77.2%). However, the violation rate caused by motorcycle couriers was high in couriers in a small business of <5 employees (13.9%), with work experience of <6 months (13.9%), on cloudy or clear days (12.4%), on an intersection (29.8%), in the type of "crash with a vehicle" (31.2%), or in a death accident (35.7%) Conclusion: The findings of this study can be used as a baseline in devising policies for preventing crashes of motorcycle couriers.

With the recent increasing interest in sustainability management, the latest environmental report tends to be substituted by the expanded sustainability management report. In this work, I would like to introduce the management pattern of a global enterprise that values environmental soundness (environmental friendly) and implements eco-friendly measures. The enterprise chosen in this study is FedEx. In this article, FedEx case is presented how companies can adopt environmental friendly management in their businesses. FedEx has maintained an eco-friendly management since the introduction of the company's eco-friendly transport trucks in 2003, following its development in 2000. In 2005, it installed a solar power plant that can supply up to 80% of the electricity consumed by Oakland Logistics Center in California, USA. FedEx has published the "Global Enterprise Citizenship Report," which contains its business developments in 2009. FedEx has worked hard to minimize the influence caused by packaging of goods to the environment and appealed to customers to use recycled products as much as they can. FedEx also encourages customers to use packaging materials efficiently. A considerable amount of energy has been expended in the eco-friendly programs of FedEx. Although thousands of FedEx vehicles and aircraft operate daily with using large amounts of electricity and fuel, FedEx focuses on energy savings and global environment protection.
