The modified couple stress-based third-order shear deformation theory is presented for sigmoid functionally graded materials (S-FGM) plates. The advantage of the modified couple stress theory is the involvement of only one material length scale parameter which causes to create symmetric couple stress tensor and to use it more easily. Analytical solution for dynamic instability analysis of S-FGM plates on elastic medium is investigated. The present models contain two-constituent material variation through the plate thickness. The equations of motion are derived from Hamilton's energy principle. The governing equations are then written in the form of Mathieu-Hill equations and then Bolotin's method is employed to determine the instability regions. The boundaries of the instability regions are represented in the dynamic load and excitation frequency plane. It is assumed that the elastic medium is modeled as Pasternak elastic medium. The effects of static and dynamic load, power law index, material length scale parameter, side-to-thickness ratio, and elastic medium parameter have been discussed. The width of the instability region for an S-FGM plate decreases with the decrease of material length scale parameter. The study is relevant to the dynamic simulation of micro structures embedded in elastic medium subjected to intense compression and tension.

This study explores supportive and conflictual network structures of elderly single and couple households and analyzes the effects of supportive and conflictual networks on suicidal thoughts by gender and family type. The analysis considered a sample of 522 individuals over the age of 60 who did not live with their adult children. The statistical methods used to analyze data were descriptive statistics, a t-test, a chi-square test and a regression analysis using SPSS WIN 20.0. The results are as follows. First, men and elderly single households had support networks that were smaller than those of women and elderly couple households. The conflictual network of elderly couples households was larger than that of elderly single households. In addition, the larger the network, the more the conflictual was. Second, elderly single households thought about suicide more often than elderly couple households. Third, economic status, the number of adult children, the size of conflictual network and subjective health had considerable influence on suicidal thoughts of elderly single and couple households. The size of the conflictual network had a greater effect on suicidal thoughts of elderly individuals than that of the supportive network. These results have important policy implications for elderly single and couple households.

본 논문은 1인가구, 부부가구, 부부와 자녀로 이루어진 가구 노인들의 성공적 노후 수준을 확인하고, 각 가구유형별로 성공적 노후에 영향을 미치는 요인이 무엇인가를 집단별로 비교, 분석하여 노인들의 성공적 노후를 위한 정책 및 프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 활용함에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 국민노후보장패널조사 제4차 개인용 조사와 부가조사 자료를 활용하였으며, 1인가구 699명, 부부가구 1,412명, 부부와 자녀로 구성된 가구 238명이 분석에 활용되었다. 분석 결과, 성공적 노후 수준은 1인가구가 부부가구와 부부와 자녀로 구성된 가구에 비해 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 성공적 노후에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위해 다중회귀분석하여 비교한 결과, 1인가구의 경우 경제활동, 경제적 독립, 집안일, 이웃관계, 가족관계, 자녀관계가 통계적으로 유의하였다. 부부가구의 경우 경제적 독립, 신체적 건강, 친구관계, 자녀관계가 성공적 노후에 유의한 영향력을 보였다. 마지막으로 부부와 자녀가구는 신체적 건강과 친구관계가 성공적 노후에 유의한 요인으로 확인되었다.

This study examined the mediating effects of couple communication on self-differentiation and marital satisfaction among married women. The ANOVA, correlation and the multiple regression analysis were used to figure out the relationships and the mediating effects of those variables. The results revealed that self-differentiation was significantly related to marital satisfaction. Also, couple communication was revealed to be a partial and full mediator between self-differentiation and marital satisfaction. The results were as follows. First, there were differences in couple communication and marital satisfaction. Marital satisfaction showed differences according to socio-economic variables such as educational level, occupation, family income, and the years of married life. Educational level and family income made differences in couple's communication. However, socio-economic variables did not make any difference with regard to self-differentiation. Second, there was a significant correlation among all sub-factors for self-differentiation, whole self-differentiation, married couples' communication, and marital satisfaction. Third, the result shows that the mediating effect of couple communication between self-differentiation and marital satisfaction. Couple communication completely mediated the relationship between cognitive vs. emotional function, family projection, emotional cutoff, and marital satisfaction. It also partially mediated the relationship between family regression and marital satisfaction. In addition, there was a tendency to partially mediate the relationship between general self-differentiation and marital satisfaction. The results suggested that self-differentiation and couples communication should be considered together when explaining marital satisfaction among married women. Also, the results implied the importance of the increased self-differentiation and the better couple communication in women's marital satisfaction. Finally, this research suggested the necessity of counseling services to enhance the self-differentiation as well as couple communication programs for the marital satisfaction of women.

For an elastically suspended rigid body with the planes of symmetry in a three dimensional space, a novel analysis fur the vibration modes is presented. From the decompositions of the stiffness and inertia matrices, the conditions for the existence of pure translation and pure couple modes are analyzed for an elastically suspended rigid body with the planes of symmetry. From this analysis, it can be showed that how the structure of stiffness and inertia must be related in order to produce the pure translation and pure couple modes when an elastically suspended rigid body has one, two, or three planes of symmetry.

This paper presents a free vibration analysis of size-dependent functionally graded (FG) nanobeams with all surface effects considerations on the basis of modified couple stress theory. The material properties of FG nanobeam are assumed to vary according to power law distribution. Based on the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory, the modeled nanobeam and its equations of motion are derived using Hamilton's principle. An analytical method is used to discretize the model and the equation of motion. The model is validated by comparing the benchmark results with the obtained results. Results show that the vibration behavior of a nanobeam is significantly influenced by surface density, surface tension and surface elasticity. Also, it is shown that by increasing the beam size, influence of surface effect reduces to zero, and the natural frequency tends to its classical value.

본 연구는 최근 미디어에서 동성애의 재현이 표면으로 가시화되고 있는 시점에서 주류 미디어인 지상파 방송에서의 동성애 재현이 지니는 의미를 살펴보고자 하였다. 성적 소수자로서의 동성애자에 대한 주류 미디어의 재현의 경계는 무엇인가에 대한 문제의식을 바탕으로 드라마 <인생은 아름다워>에서의 재현 전략을 분석함에 있어 동일 드라마 내에서의 이성애 커플과 동성애 커플의 갈등의 원인과 유형, 갈등의 해결과정에서의 상호작용의 재현 방식의 비교를 통하여 동성애의 재현에서 허용되고 배제된 재현 방식은 무엇인지를 규명하고 이를 통해 생산되는 담론을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 이성애 커플에서 재현되는 사회적 요인으로 인한 갈등이 동성애 커플에는 부재하는 것으로 나타나며, 동성애 커플의 경우 가족과의 심화된 대인관계 갈등 속에서 피해자로 묘사됨으로써 동정심을 유발하는 방식으로 재현되고 있다. 또한 이성애 커플은 갈등의 해결에 주체적인 것으로, 동성애 커플은 갈등은 중재자의 적극 개입을 통해 비주체적으로 재현되고 있다.

본 연구의 목적은 커플관계에 어려움을 경험하는 군 내 병사들의 커플관계 탄력성, 군 생활 스트레스, 군 생활 적응의 관계를 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위하여 전방 1개 사단, 후방 1개 사단에서 병사들을 대상으로 총 239부의 자료를 분석하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 18.0프로그램을 이용하여, 상관분석, t-test, 회귀분석을 실시하였고, 매개효과의 유의성을 검증하기 위하여 Sobel test를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요결과는 첫째, 커플관계탄력성은 군 생활 스트레스와는 부적 상관관계를 군생활 적응과는 정적상관관계를 나타내었다. 둘째, 커플관계 탄력성은 군 생활 적응에 유의미한 영향력을 나타내었다. 셋째, 군 생활 스트레스와 군 생활 적응의 관계에서 커플관계 탄력성은 부분 매개효과를 지니는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 커플관계에 어려움을 호소하는 병사들의 군 생활 적응력을 높이기 위한 기초 자료로 사용될 수 있으며, 본 연구 결과를 활용하여 병사들의 군 생활 부적응 현상의 하나인 커플관계에 대한 이해를 높이고, 커플관계의 역경과 스트레스를 부정적으로 이해하는 것이 아니라 긍정적인 측면에서 성장 가능성을 찾도록 도와줄 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Forced vibration analysis of a cracked functionally graded microbeam is investigated by using modified couple stress theory with damping effect. Mechanical properties of the functionally graded beam change vary along the thickness direction. The crack is modelled with a rotational spring. The Kelvin-Voigt model is considered in the damping effect. In solution of the dynamic problem, finite element method is used within Timoshenko beam theory in the time domain. Influences of the geometry and material parameters on forced vibration responses of cracked functionally graded microbeams are presented.

The purpose of this study is to explore parental strain, mastery, sex role attitude and dyadic adjustment after the transition to parenthood in dual earner family. Using couple data from a sample of 284 dual earner couple, pair t-test, multiple regression analysis, one was ANOVA was used. Major findings were as follows. 1) There were differences between wives and husbands in dyadic adjustment, physical strain, mastery, sex role attitude. Specially, couples experience more emotional strain than physical strain, and wives experience more parental strain than husbands. 2) Couple's parental strain is considered personal attribution rather than family one, but mastery is different. 3) Couple's psychological variables have an effect on the dyadic adjustment sores, especially husband's sex role attitude influences own dyadic adjustment and wife's dyadic adjustment. Wife's mastery also own dyadic adjustment and husband's dyadic adujstment.
