In order to reduce the damage of property and the loss of lives caused by slope failure, the development of an efficient cut slope management system and the proposal of an appropriate countermeasure are required. However, recognizing the cause of slope failure and proposing the adequate countermeasure for failure are difficult tasks because slope failure is occurred by many complicated failure reasons. Therefore, the cut slope database system is developed in this study for the effective tool which Is able to analyze the characteristics and relationship for reasons of slope failure. In addition, this system contributes to the curtailment of governmental budget spending for countermeasures of slope. Moreover, GIS system will be adopted to the database system and the investigation of characteristics relationship between one and another area is in progress.
Recently, many cities have always been affected by large natural disasters such as floods and landslides. As climate change causes more frequent localized heavy rains exceeding the conveyance capacity of sewer, flood damage is expected to increase. For the sake of reducing the urban flood damage by changed rainfall, there has been many trials on installation of runoff-reducing facilities. Therefore, it was required to study about reasonable analysis and countermeasure of rainwater storage facility project for extending it. This study was to review the status of rainwater storage facility project for the urban disaster prevention in Busan, to find out problems, and to propose the countermeasure of rainwater storage facility project for the urban disaster prevention.

This paper proposes an improved test and evaluation methodology to be conducted for a in-flight threat-countermeasure encounter scenario. Although the conventional test method adopted in the precedent researches allows high precision and safety, such full-scale method is practically not appropriate to apply to small-scale test rounds for evaluating the subparts of the ammunition. To address this problem, this study suggests a readily-applicable, small-scale test and evaluation method of the subpart of the ammunition in firing test. In the threat-countermeasure encounter scenario, the results of several tests demonstrate that the proposed technique does not deteriorate the precision when the engagement point should be adjusted.
The subjects of the study are the sedimentary rock slope of the Mesozoic Gyeongsang Supergroup, which has a high risk of failure. The orientation of the slope-face represents a variety of changing characteristics. The rocks of the slope shall be sandstone, siltstone and dacite, and discontinuities shall develop beddings, shear joints, extension joints, and dacite dyke boundary planes. The type and scale of failure varies depending on the type of rock and the strike/dip of the discontinuities, but the toppling failure prevails. Based on the face-mapping data, SMR, physical and mechanical testing of rocks, analysis and review of the stereonet projections and the critical equilibrium analysis, all four representative sections required a countermeasure method because the acceptable safety factor during dry and rainy seasons were far below Fs = 1.5 and Fs = 1.2. After applying the countermeasure method, both the dry and wet conditions of the slope exceeded the allowable safety factor. In particular, the face-mapping data of the slope-face, the geological cross-sections of several representative sections perpendicular to the slope-face, and the critical equilibrium analysis and the presentation of countermeasure methods that have been reviewed based on them are expected to be reasonable tools for the slope stability. In addition, it will be possible to use it as basic data for performance evaluation for slope maintenance.

NFC(Near Field Communication),the short-distance communication protocol, is a technology with a wide range of application applied to smart phones. In particular, many of the services in NFC environments utilize users' privacy information. Privacy information used in such services leads to new vulnerability due to the very features of NFC technology and of NFC devices represented by smart phones. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to suggest a methodology that analyzes privacy vulnerability resulting from a NFC environments in technological, managerial and institutional aspects and a methodology aimed to establish a countermeasure to augment them. Also, this study will suggest vulnerability and countermeasures accordingly in domestic NFC service drawn out through the above methodologies and a countermeasure to improve the vulnerability. It is expected that various safe countermeasures for privacy protection in NFC environments will be established through the suggested methodologies.
In this paper, we study the current situation of digital divide caused by accessibility disparity to information in Korea. We investigate leading causes and classes of people of digital divide, and also investigate phenomena which arise from such digital divide. In the investigation, we survey related works and additionally carry out questionnaire study in which we make questionnaire items ourselves. Finally, we discuss various measures to resolve digital divide in Korea based on the study results.
The purpose of this research is to propose an effective traffic safety countermeasure to reduce both violations of road traffic acts and accident rates related to the driver's characteristics by measuring them using Q analysis method, a microscopic statistics analysis method. As a result, violators of the road traffic act could be divided into five driving characteristics and causers of traffic accident could be classified into six driving characteristics. By understanding these characteristics, We could establish a proper traffic safety countermeasure for each driving characteristic. The accomplishments of this research are as follows: The first, We could classify the decisive driving characteristics, which cause road traffic acts and traffic accidents, into internal and external causes. The relationship between each driver's characteristic and the occurrence of the road traffic act and traffic accident could be recognized more clearly. We could find the dangerous driver samples who have Accidents proneness. The second, As a result of analyzing the characteristics of these factors, We could sort out and suggest countermeasure for reducing violation of road traffic acts and traffic accidents as a priority countermeasure and complementary countermeasure. Finally, transportation companies most closely related to automobile accidents can judge new personnels on the basis of their driving characteristics before hiring, and also apply this principle to the traffic safety education vigorously.
When the structure such as roadway, railway are constructed on abandoned coal mine area, the countermeasure to prevent settlements is necessary. In this study, numerical analyses are performed to evaluate the effect of the various countermeasures. As a results, the method which is filling the coal mine is more effective than that of reinforcing the ground above the coal mine. The ground settlement decreases hyperbolically with increasing the filling ratio of the coal mine. Also, the relationship between the filling ratio and the settlement reduction ratio is discussed precisely.

The previous simulation models of infra-red (IR) reticle seekers were performed in a static situation. However, in this paper, we develop a new simulation tool which is applicable in various cases, and propose an efficient counter-countermeasure (CCM) in the presence of countermeasures (CM) such as flares. The developed tool analyzes performance of rotating Lovell reticle seeker, and gives tracking performances in various scenarios. The simulation results show that our counter-countermeasure algorithm makes an efficient target tracking in the presence of flares.
