In order to achieve this goal, data were collected from July to August 2018 from workers at disability welfare centers in P Metropolitan City, and we analyzed data from 187 persons. Multiple regression analysis was applied to test the causal relationships between variables; the step-by-step analysis model of Baron and Kenny (1986) was used to verify mediating effects, and the Sobel test was performed to verify their significance. The analyses verified that the degree of interest in the latest technologies affects the degree of resistance to, and anxiety over, the latest technologies through acceptance of the latest technologies. At the same time, we verified that the degree of interest had a complete mediation effect because it did not directly affect the acceptance. In addition, the Sobel test result showed that the mediating effect was statistically significant. In other words, it was found that the degree of interest in the latest 4th Industrial Revolution technologies from workers at welfare institutions for the disabled increases the possibility of adaptation to future society by lowering resistance and anxiety through acceptance of the latest technologies. Based on these results, a plan to reduce resistance to, and anxiety over, the latest technologies was sought, and related measures to increase interest in the latest technologies and their acceptance are suggested.

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the parents' perceptions of the distance learning provided to students with disabilities and to explore the demands for educational support. A survey was conducted on a total of 2,392 parents of school-age children with disabilities. The survey questions were largely divided into the learning support to prevent educational gap, support for behavioral and psychological difficulties, and care support for educational welfare. As a result of the study, it was found that face-to-face education in schools was the most important to prevent the educational gap between students with disabilities, and counseling on distance learning methods and strategies suitable for the characteristics of the disabled in connection with the Special Education Support Center was the most necessary. As a learning support method for distance learning for students with disabilities, there was a high demand for individual learning support through preparatory special education teachers, and it was necessary to secure enough learning aids and assistive technology devices to be used appropriately when needed. In addition, psychological counseling and educational support for students with disabilities were requested, and there were demands for development of care programs suitable for the characteristics of the disabled and assignment of dedicated personnel. Based on the results of this study, this study suggested implications for students with disabilities to bridge the learning gap and provide educational support due to distance learning.

  • This study examined students' menu preferences as well as the job satisfaction and specific considerations concerning foodservice operation of dieticians and nutrition teachers at special schools for the disabled. Semi-structured interview questionnaires were sent to all of the 21 special schools with direct school food service in Gyeonggi-do, and 16 dieticians and nutrition teachers agreed to participate in this study. Among the various menu groups, the subjects perceived the meat group as the most preferred and the vegetable group the least preferred. They were generally satisfactory with their job and duty, and had a strong sense of belonging to the school. However, most of them answered that they needed more time for nutritional education and counseling. While most had pride and pleasure in their job, they expressed a desire to change the system to better fit with their roles as professional nutritionists. The content analysis revealed that the subjects mainly focused on safety issues in planning the food menu and were thus limited in selecting menu items. They also felt difficulty in menu planning due to various tastes and preferences, since special schools tend to consist of a wider grade range. However, most subjects reported little trouble in food distribution and food leftovers owing to practical support from teachers and parents. The necessity for education concerning table manners and obesity prevention was generally a shared opinion, and education programs for parents were also perceived as necessary to better understand the special considerations for developing proper eating habits in their child. The study findings provide useful basic data to improve the foodservice system at special schools.

First, in terms of the coverage, the biggest blind zones of social service are the employment support and cultural service. These results were similar for all households. But, it is noteworthy that the size and proportion of blind zones of housing support services for children, counseling services for elderly are relatively big. Second, in terms of adequacy, the most serious blind zones of social service are health and the employment support service. Especially, the elderly, the disabled, and the poor are not the most adequate adult care services and children are community service. • This study reviewed the important preceding studies of prevention and treatment of the crimes and therapies on the characteristics of mental illness, trying to investigate and identify more effective ways to prevent, decrease the crimes of the mentally ill and treat them. The main results were as follows. First, relationships between mental illness and crimes have been inconsistently reported, to investigate environmental stresses and triggers of the mentally ill additionally. Second, the term 'mentally illness' was to be defined more specifically, such as severe psychiatric disabled, antisocial personality disorder, intellectual disability, anger·impulse control disorder, and drug abuse. If medication and psychosocial treatments were properly treated to the severe psychiatric disabled, their crime incidence and recidivism will be decrease enough to live with their neighbors in community. But the ways and processes of treating antisocial personality disorder, intellectual disability, anger·impulse control disorder, and drug abuse were very different from it, requiring more intense psychological, medical and biological interventions and social seclusion. The national campaigns and projects for their human rights and community care will be needed to promote the therapeutic effects for them. The limitation and future tasks were discussed.
