LED lighting has an advantage of adjusting color temperature. This change of color temperature may derive change in behavioral and physiological responses of the visual perception for indoor environments. This research examined the changes of behavioral and physiological responses caused by the color temperature. The environment was configured that the indoor temperature was 20 degrees centigrade or less as the perceived uncomfortable environment in winter. Then, the comfortable sensation vote (CSV) and the results of 3-back working memory test were measured as behavioral responses. In addition, the Electrodermal Activity (EDA) and Electrocardiogram (ECG) were measured as the responses of autonomics nervous system (ANS) in the three conditions of color temperature (red: 3862K, white: 5052K, blue: 11,460K). As a result, behavioral responses were not significant by the condition of color temperature, but the tendency of occupants' physiological relaxation appeared in the blue color temperature condition compared with the white color temperature condition. Although the color temperature of LED lighting might be a small factor in terms of the characteristics of indoor environment, it suggests that the color temperature could have an impact on the physiological changes in the parasympathetic nervous system.
This study examined the recognition and purchasing behavior about environment-friendly agricultural produce (EFAP) of housewives in Yeungnam area. The data were collected from 401 housewives by a self-administered questionnaire on April, 2010. Frequencies, t test, chi-square test, and logistic regression analysis were conducted by SPSS Windows V.17.0. The results of the survey were as follows: (1) the purchase group of EFAP showed higher degree of concern about health and recognition about EFAP than the non-purchase group, (2) knowledge scores about EFAP were very low for both the purchase and non-purchase groups, (3) levels of confidence in EFAP in the purchase group were higher than those in the non-purchase group, (4) the purchase group considered high price as the main distribution problem about EFAP, whereas the non-purchase group regarded low trust toward producers, and (5) monthly household income (below 2,000,000 won) and confidence in EFAP were the significant factors affecting EFAP.

The purpose of this study is to examine how UCC can be prepared in the school environment, to measure the ways it can enhance education and evaluate the many different circumstances it can be used. In this study, the concept of UCC was researched and it was discovered which classifications and features can be created in the school environment. There are four educational uses of UCC; in class lessons, student guidance, school events and counseling for parents. This study suggests ways of implementation which will facilitate using SNS in the school environment.

This study aims to identify the concept of a family-friendly neighborhood environment and to present the findings to influence the goals of and directions for future policy. This qualitative research study was conducted based on interviews with six leaders in the child-care community residing in Jeju and Seogwipo, two cities in South Korea. First, the findings demonstrated that the subjects recognized the concept of family-friendly neighborhood environments as "environments in which communication is possible with all neighbors, neighbors take care of children, and all families enjoy neighborhood life." Second, family-friendly neighborhood environments were characterized as being safe, nature-friendly, and accessible. Third, participants identified family leisure cultural facilities and multipurpose facilities as the spaces that characterize family-friendly neighborhood environments. Lastly, the model of family-friendly neighborhoods needs to be composed of the following three factors: residence, leisure, and economy.
A law facilitating a family-friendly social environment was legislated in December 2007. According to the law, projects for facilitating a family-friendly social environment consisted of a family-friendly working environment, a community environment, and the promotion of a family-friendly culture. There has been much progress in developing a family-friendly working environment through projects such as those advocating for flexible work hours, an employee support system, and child care and a family care support system. However, in terms of a family-friendly community environment project, there was no noticeable advancement. Hence, this study was conducted to find ways to vitalize the family-friendly village project in terms of the family-friendly community environment project. The major findings of this study were as follows: A family-friendly village could be structured on the three axes of time, space, and relation. The model of the family-friendly village project consists of the following three steps: motivation, systematization, and participating & practicing. In the motivation step, integration, community, and sustainability were needed as basic ideologies for a family-friendly village. In the systematization step, providing systematic educational systems for residents taking on leadership and activist roles was stressed. In the participating & practicing step, many ways to facilitate residents' social relationships were suggested: starting the project from matters of common interests, making the resolution of families' problems a communal task of the residents, accepting the opinions of various groups associated with the matter, and taking a differentiated project process according to the geographic, socio-economic, and demographic characteristics of the groups. It is strongly suggested that the family-friendly village should be taken as a common functional scheme in everyone of eight livable village models because a key factor in a family-friendly village, family care, serves an essential function in any livable village model.

The purpose of study is to understand how a principal of a child-care center and parents accept different episodes and experiences in admission counselling and their use of metaphorical expressions about this, and to illuminate the current state of play by examining the requirements of parents in selecting a child-care center. The subjects were 10 principals of private child-care centers located in the Gyeongsangbuk province of Korea, and the research materials for episodes and metaphors were collected and analyzed by means of in-depth and telephone interviews during an application period. In terms of the overall climate of the admission counselling, as shown in the various episodes, our results indicated that an increase of parents' demands occurred through a primarily consumer-centered environment, and the sudden increase in a fathers' participation, the inside circumstances of admission counselling in progress throughout the year, the non-existence of respect and credibility and the continuity of conflicts and were all observed to co-exist. In terms of the emotional meaning of counselling via metaphors, the following emotions could be inferred; hopelessness, anger, lethargy, stress, fear and eagerness. It is anticipate that this study will make a meaningful contribution to better illuminating and improving the current climates of here and now admission counselling.
Purpose: To examine the outcomes of a smoking cessation clinic at a public health center, in Hwasung city in 2006 and to examine the perceptions of the users regarding the clinic services. Method: 620 smokers who visited the smoking cessation clinic from January, 2006 to November, 2006 were enrolled. An instrument developed by the researcher was used to collect their perceptions. The instrument comprised 24 questions, on a 5-point Likert scale investigating the clinic services in terms of counseling time, environment, readiness of the counselors, counseling information, campaign method, medication use, and follow-up services. The general characteristics of the participants were collected from the database developed by the Ministry of Health & Welfare. The data were analyzed with frequencies, percentage, mean and standard deviation methods. Results: The outcomes of the smoking cessation clinic in Hwasung city in 2006 showed some limitations in terms of low-income group, female smokers, and young adult smokers. Conclusion: Strategies for solving these limitations were necessary to increase the effectiveness of the smoking cessation clinic. Clinic services focused on cognitive-behavioral therapy needed to be developed in accordance with chemotherapy. More effective publicizing campaigns of the clinic services also needed to be developed for more people to know about the clinic. Strategies to increase the accessibility for the people living far from the clinic were also necessary. Assessment of the smokers who did not visit clinic was also recommended in order to determine their intentions, or barriers to visit the clinic.

This study aims to identify the motives of Cambodian marriage immigrants and their spouses in order to determine the factors that are needed for them to experience a successful marriage and a happy family life in Korea. This study's findings have been achieved through in-depth interviews with 10 married Cambodian female marriage immigrants and nine of the women's husbands. The following factors play a key role. First, the social environment in Cambodia is generally less developed than it is in Korea. Therefore, the immigrants tend to easily adapt to the advanced culture they encounter in Korea. Second, the patriarchal culture in Korea seems to be changing. Thus, Korean females are more respected now than they have been in the past. The Korean mothers-in-law and fathers-in-law appreciate their daughters-in-law and are trying to be more caring rather than treating them with prejudice that, in the past, had been leveled against foreigners. These factors help the Cambodian immigrants adapt to the Korean culture. Third, multicultural family support centers have become the place where these marriage immigrants learn about Korean culture and socialize with other immigrants. The husbands of these women actively participate in marriage counseling and family counseling, and they are also willing to understand the complexity of a multicultural society and the importance of family.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate health behaviors of patients before and after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods: The subjects of this study were 120 men and women whose age ranged from 40 years to 69 years among the patients who received percutaneous coronary intervention in Y university hospital that was located in Daegu city and who had diagnosed for 3 months or more and less than 2 years. Structured questionnaire was used to conduct self-administered survey from May 15 to October 12 in 2012. Results: Patients's health behavior score was ranged from 46 to 94 points after the PCI intervention. The score was $65.42{\pm}12.99$ points before and significantly increased up to $72.53{\pm}10.18$ points after the PCI intervention (p<.001). According to subcategory of health behavior, significant differences were found in scores of health responsibility (increased interest in health, watching of lecture on health and behavior to be punctual on counseling or medical treatment), diet, smoking, and drinking (p<.001, p=.039, p=<.001). However, no significant change was found in practice efforts such as exercise, eating habits and relaxation for stress management. Conclusions: In conclusion, it is necessary to provide education and counseling that enabling patients to improve smoking, drinking, practicing exercise and healthy eating habits.

Objectives: This study is for understanding the perceived job training of the public health promotion program officials and analysis the educational needs in order to serve as the basis for the development of the future educational programs. Methods: To this end, we have developed a survey based on references and consultations with experts. We had explained the purpose and the intent of the survey to nationwide public health directors in advance and an online questionnaire was conducted for health promotion program and service providing personnel; the results from a total of 763 survey respondents were used in the final analysis. Collected data were analyzed through SPSS Win 21.0. Results: The results shows that the tasks of public health promotion personnel are 'business practices,' 'planning and evaluation related work' and so on in order of importance while the duties of service providing personnel are 'counseling,' 'education' and so on. One of the factors affecting field applications of education is 'awareness of the connection between education and career development' which accounts for 33% of explanatory power; the selected six other factors constitute 41.7%. Necessary educational contents for public officials are 'public health service planning,' 'report writing skills' and 'project evaluation methods.' On the other hand, for service providers, the contents are 'counseling methods,' 'development of educational materials,' 'monitoring health status' and so on. Conclusions: In order for trained service personnel to accord with the changed health promotion environment and the demand of local residents, Public Health Promotion officials should increase educational opportunities based on the competencies for each job, provide continuous learning opportunities and information even after the training, and finally, create a system that can link to career development.
