As men are interested in fashion and beauty and invest for himselves nowadays, the scale of men's cosmetic businesses is showing steadily tendency. The purposes of this were to offer data to establish a marketing strategies learning follows: The findings of this study were as follows: First, according to the survey on men's consideration of their look, it showed their high interest in it. 29% respondents carry cosmetics in their hands normally. Second, Men's level of skin management knowledge is quite high according the survey. Third, The largest group of respondents are obtaining information about cosmetics through mass media. therefore, there will be necessity for cosmetic firms to aggressively pursue positive publicity strategy various of mass media. Fourth, Regarding purchasing behavior, 53.2% buy cosmetics in person, who outnumbered the others who don't. In the case of men who don't buy cosmetics by themselves, spouses or girl friends purchase cosmetics on behalf of them. Fifth, as a result of examine the demand level for men's cosmetics, the men, who answered that it is appropriate a lotion and toner is priced between 10,000 won and 30,000 won were the largest with 51.1%. Men who answered that beside the basic cosmetics such as toner and lotion that use, they will purchase sunscreen in the future. Men sho recognize the most important task needed to be improved in men's cosmetics is higher quality, with 25.9%.

The objective of this study is to investigate the perception of males about make-up and the make-up process, analyze principal factors affecting their decision when purchasing cosmetics and, ultimately, to provide basic data for further survey and research into features of cosmetics and their satisfaction. The subjects of the study a.e male adults living in Jeonju, Iksan and Gunsan cities of Jeonbuk province. Surveyors made direct interviews with the subjects from October 21 to 30, 2003 and collected 174 questionnaires from them, which were subsequently put to the final analysis. The demographic characters of the surveyed showed that 60.9% of them were in the age ranging 30 to 39, 75.3% married, 69.5% undergraduates or graduates, 39.1% self-employed, 25.9% earning more than 3.01 million Won monthly and 43.7% spending less than 10,000 Won a month for cosmetics. Their make-up and purchasing pattern of cosmetics featured that 54.0% of the surveyed use cosmetics for skin care, 54.0% for cleanness and health, 84.5% for foundation(lotion or skin lotion) only, and 60.9% once a day. Out of the surveyed males, 79.3% haven't experienced any adverse side effects after make-up. Of those who experienced, 80.5% named disagreement of cosmetics with skin for the reason. As for kind or symptom of the side effects, 38.8% set forth itching. Among those who had aftermath or intoxication from make-up, 52.8% said they could recover naturally. According to the survey, 57.5% felt somewhat awkward after make-up, but not quite bad though. Thirty-seven point nine percent of the males surveyed replied they cared little about the purpose of male-oriented cosmetics. Quality was raised by 31.0% as the foremost issue to improve. Television turned out to be the main source for 56.9% of the surveyed to get information about cosmetics. For 56.35%, general discount shops are preferred to buy cosmetics and 24.7% of them take ones recommended by salespeople. When buying cosmetics, 47.1% considered color and fragrance most seriously.
The purpose of this study was to examine the consumers' purchasing behaviors of budget-priced cosmetics. Questionnaires used for this study were composed of 44 questions including 9 questions about budget-priced cosmetic purchasing behavior, 15 questions about satisfaction, 15 questions about repeat purchasing intention, 1 question about the reason of satisfaction or dissatisfaction, and four questions about demographic variables. Questionnaires were administrated to 317 people who were Daegu & Kyungpook region residents and had shopping experience on budget-priced cosmetics during 2 weeks from March 2005. Respondents' age was limited from 20 to 40. Data were analyzed by using correlation, crosstabulation analysis, and frequency analysis utilizing SPSS/WIN. The results were as follows. Consumers went to budget-priced cosmetics' shops 'for low price', 'for trial' and 'for curiosity'. The best purchased products among the budget-priced cosmetics were basic cosmetics, and the second purchased products were make-up cosmetics. 41.4% of the whole respondents answered that they spent 5,000~10,000won per one time visit, and 65% of those answered they visited once or twice per a year and once per two or three months. In this study a level of satisfaction for the entire products, consumers neither unsatisfied nor fully satisfied. For the question of the intention to repurchase for the budget-priced cosmetics, the respondents answered that they will not positively purchase again. A level of satisfaction and the intention to repurchase had positive correlations. The reason which consumers satisfied with the products was chiefly related to price and that which consumers unsatisfied the products was related to products themselves.

The purpose of this study were to classify the door to door selling consumers's according to their cosmetics lifestyles and to analyze the cosmetics a purchase behavior and satisfaction of classified groups. subject were 424 women living in chung-cheong and kyung-gi. The statistical methods to analyze the data were frequency, t-test, factor analysis. cluster analysis, and ANOVA(LSD) using SPSSWIN package. Considering that there were significant differences in the behavior of uses, purchase propensity according to cosmetics lifestyles for door to door selling, it is reasonable that the consumer market should be subdivided by their cosmetics lifestyles and the quality improvement and distinguished sales strategies should be required.

Domestic cosmetics companies are striving to protect the environment and solve environmental problems through ESG management. This study analyzed the relationship and influence between the perceived consumption value and purchasing behavior of upcycling cosmetics according to environmental values for MZ generation women in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. In addition, based on the research results, it was intended to provide basic data for product development and marketing strategies related to upcycling cosmetics. First, all variables were found to be positive (+) correlation. Second, it was found that the higher the environmental value, the higher the perceived consumption value of upcycling cosmetics. Third, it was found that the higher the environmental values, the higher the purchasing behavior. Therefore, it is hoped that it will induce a positive consumption value for upcycling cosmetics, and that the cosmetics industry will be helpful as basic data for the development of related products and the establishment of differentiated marketing strategies.
Korean middle-aged women, who are securing economic stability of their own along with the national economic growth, have had much concern in their outward appearance. Especially, middle-aged women's concern of appearance triggered by their various social/leisure activities and appreciation of aesthetic sense leads to the interest in their outward appearance, thus naturally stimulating their purchasing sentiments. This paper attempts to identify the level of middle-aged women's concern of appearance and analyze how this level of concern affects their behavior in purchasing cosmetic products. Our analytical findings include: 1. From the t-test and distributional analysis of points of each factor on the group, the high-interest type 1 (108 persons) and low-interest type 2 (91 person) in terms of 'concern of appearance' turned out to exist. 2. Five factors of cosmetics-purchasing behavior were derived that are fashion-leading type, compulsive buying type, brand-dependent type, pondering type, planned buying type and loyal-to-brand type. 3. Cosmetics-purchasing behavior varied according to the subjects' level of concern of appearance.
The purpose of this study was to examine the differences of the information searches and purchasing behavior Korean men in their 20s and 30s, focusing on cosmetic involvement. Research methods consisted of qualitative and quantitative approaches. For the qualitative approach, in-depth interviews and participant observations were conducted to investigate male customers' cosmetic characteristics in information searches and purchasing behavior. Then, the study conducted a quantitative study methodology based on the questionnaires from the in-depth interviews, participant observations, and literature review. The study surveyed 340 Korean men in their 20s and 30s. The cosmetic involvement of the target group was classified into the amusing high-involvement group, the rational low-involvement group, and the obligatory high-involvement group. The results from this study indicated that the groups of male customers classified by cosmetic involvement showed statistically significant differences in terms of information searches and purchasing behaviors. Especially, the obligatory high-involvement group generally displayed high-involvement traits likewise the amusing high-involvement, was more similar to the rational low-involvement group regarding cost effectiveness than the obligatory high-involvement group. Moreover, the classifications of men generally had different characteristics of cosmetic purchasing behavior and information searches than women. This study has a distinctive significance compared with other studies in discovering differences of cosmetic purchasing behaviors of Korean men in their 20s and 30s' cosmetic involvement groups classified using qualitative and quantitative approaches.
This study aims to explore the effect of beauty lifestyle behaviors on the pursuit of beauty values and cosmetics purchasing behaviors in female college students, identify consumption market of female college students in beauty industry and contribute to the advancement of beauty industry. Data were collected by conducting a survey in 328 students. The survey was performed using self-administered questionnaires answered by the respondents themselves. The survey items were rated on a 5-point Likert scale and multiple choice question type was used. Statistical analyses were done using SPSS Statistics ver. 22.0. The study results are as follows. First, the regression analysis on the effect of beauty lifestyle behaviors on the pursuit of beauty values were found to be impacted on the sub-variables of beauty lifestyle behaviors including manicure, make-up, diet, body-shaping, and shopping behaviors (p<0.01). Second, the results of a difference in the pursuit of beauty values by cosmetics purchasing behavior showed that purchase frequency of cosmetic products for buying cosmetics were found to be statistically significant Third, as the results of a difference in cosmetics purchasing behaviors by beauty lifestyle behavior, reasons for the purchase frequency of cosmetic products, cost of purchasing cosmetics were statistically significant.
This research studied men's cosmetics purchasing behavior based on the level of interest one has in one's appearance, the country of origin, and the sales promotion of the cosmetics. The study was conducted by experimental $2{\times}[2{\times}2]$ design by combining the 3 variables mentioned above. The Independent variables in this research were levels of appearance interest(high vs. low), the country of origin(Korean vs. foreign), and types of sales promotion(discount vs. coupon). The dependent variables were the purchase behaviors including favor to cosmetics and purchase intent. Two hundred male consumers participated for the study. Data analysis conducted were factor analysis, cluster analysis and ANOVA. The results were as follows. 1. Male consumers' cosmetics favorness: 3-way significant interaction, in appearance interest, the country of origin, and types of sales promotion, was found for favor to male cosmetics. When male subjects were provided with price discounts and skin care coupons for the Korean cosmetics, they didn't reveal significant differences in favor, regardless of the level of appearance interest. However, for the imported cosmetics, male subjects with high appearance interest showed more favor to the cosmetics than the ones with low appearance interest. 2. Male consumers' purchase intent: 3-way significant interaction, in appearance interest, the country of origin, and types of sales promotion was found for the purchase intent. When male subjects were provided with price discounts and skin care coupons for the Korean cosmetics, they didn't show significant difference in purchase intent, regardless of their appearance interest. However, for the imported cosmetics, male consumers with high appearance interest reported more purchase intent than the ones with low appearance interest.

Purpose: This study looked at perfume buying patterns among 328 adolescents. Research design, data and methodology: The purchasing behaviors and attitudes of adolescents were divided into clusters and whether the purchasing behaviors and attitudes of each cluster had a moderating effect on purchasing behavior factors was analyzed. Results: Group classification according to attitude toward perfume purchasing behavior was divided into group 1, which purchases perfume according to one's own subjective opinion, and group 2, who purchases perfume according to external factors. Among the six purchasing behavior factors, the internal pleasure-seeking (p.<001) and fashion-seeking (p.<001) factors were statistically significant in both clusters 1 and 2, and in cluster 2, economic feasibility (p.<001)) internal product. It was found to be statistically significant other than pleasure and trend-seeking, indicating that there is a difference between the two groups. Conclusion:Adolescents consider economic feasibility when purchasing perfume, so it is necessary to set low prices and diversify products for marketing plans for perfume products
