Organizational Commitment and Job characteristics of Hospital Foodservice Employees (병원급식 종사자의 조직헌신성 분석)

  • For the purpose of disclosing the relationship between job characteristics and satisfaction and organizational commitment for foodservice employees, questionnaire survey was carried out on 427 subjects of 14 general hospitals in Seoul, Korea. Questionnaire items consisted of general characteristics, organizational commitment, job satisfaction and characteristics. Data were analyzed by ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test and Pearson correlation using SPSS PC package. The results were as follows 1. Mean score of value commitment and commitment to stay were 3.57 and 3.67. 2. There were significant differences between value commitment and age, marital status department, period and management, and between commitment to stay and experience and management. 3. Mean score of job satisfaction was the highest in co-workers(3.37) and work itself (3.37) and followed by in supervision(3.25), wage(2.43) and promotion(2.01). There were significant differences between job satisfaction for work itself and age, educational status and job department and management, between job satisfaction for wage and position, department, period and management, between job satisfaction for supervision and age, educational status and department, between job satisfaction for promotion and age, marital status, position, period, and management, between job satisfaction for co-workers and sex and educational status. 4. Mean score of job characteristics was the highest in dealing with others(4.13) and followed by in feedback(3.51), autonomy(3.29), task identify(3.07), variety(2.71) and friendship(2.47). 5. Job satisfaction for work itself, supervision and co-workers were significantly increased with increasing value commitment. Job satisfaction for work itself, supervision were significantly increased with increasing commitment to stay. Job satisfaction for promotion had negative correlation with organizational commitment in all job position. 6. Value commitment had significantly positive correlations with variety, autonomy, identity, feedback and dealing with others, and significantly negative correlation with friendship. Commitment to stay had significantly positive correlations with dealing with others, and significantly negative correlations with friendship. In all job position organizational commitment had significantly negative correlations with friendship.

The Effect of Work Value, Psychological Ownership and Nursing Working Environment on Intention of Retention in Hospital Nurses (간호사의 일 가치감, 심리적 주인의식 및 간호근무환경이 재직의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose : This study aims to assess the extent of work value, psychological ownership, the nursing work environment, and retention intention, examine the correlation between these variables, and identify the factors that influence retention intention. The goal is to provide foundational data to enhance retention intention. Method : The study involved 159 nurses employed at a tertiary general hospital and a general hospital. Data were gathered through structured questionnaires and analyzed using an independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis with a simultaneous stepwise method, all conducted using the SPSS 26.0 software. Results : The intention to remain in the profession was found to have a positive correlation with work value (r = .45, p < .001), psychological ownership (r = .37, p < .001), and the nursing work environment (r = .27, p = .001). Significant factors influencing the intention to stay included total clinical career (𝛽 = .17, p = .016), work value (𝛽 = .38, p < .001), and psychological ownership (𝛽 = .19, p = .020). These variables accounted for 24.1% of the variance in the intention to remain in the profession (F = 17.71, p < .001). Conclusion: To enhance the intention of hospital staff to remain in their positions, it is crucial to identify and bolster positive psychological competencies, such as a sense of work value and psychological ownership.

Comparison of Correlation Equations between N value and Shear Wave Velocity (N값과 전단파 속도의 상관식 비교)

  • Shear modulus has been recognized as one of the important soil properties in dynamic analysis of ground and can be calculated from in situ measurement of shear wave velocity. Field seismic tests are the most accurate but expensive methods to investigate dynamic ground characteristics. Due to that reason, empirical equations for estimating the shear wave velocity are widely used rather than conducting in-situ tests. The most common equations are based on the N value obtained in conjuctions with a standard penetration test. In this paper, the field datas of standard penetration test and suspension PS logging measured in 126 sites of Korea were summarized and the correlation equations between N value and shear wave velocity are suggested.

Sensory Characteristics of Cream Soup Prepared with Rice Flour (쌀가루 첨가 크림수프의 관능적 특성)

  • The sensory characteristics of cream soup containing 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100% rice flour were investigated in order to develop a new processed food using rice. The Hunter L(lightness) value increased with the amount of rice flour, while the a(redness) value and b(yellowness) value decreased, significantly. The viscosity of rice cream soup significantly decreased with the increasing amount of rice flour. Based on the sensory evaluation, the cream soup samples with larger rice flour component showed a higher clean taste score, while those with the least rice flour resulted in higher darkness, viscosity, greasy taste, md softness. The overall acceptance was the highest in the cream soup with 75% and 100% rice flour. In terms of the color and viscosity, good correlations were observed between the sensory evaluation and the objective analysis. The overall acceptance showed a significant positive correlation with a clean taste, while there was a negative correlation with a greasy taste and the viscosity measured by a viscometer.

  • The research was to investigate the effect of trust in supervisor, organizational trust and perception on the shared value on innovative behavior. The data were collected from 334 nurses from University hospital of G city. Data were analyzed with frequency, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient and hierarchical regression, equipped with SPSS 21.0. The results showed that there was correlation among trust in supervisor, organizational trust and perception, and innovative behavior. Therefore, it is considered that the study is the basis to improve innovative behavior of nurses by providing alternatives for achieving trust in supervisor, organizational trust and perception, for sake of efficient management of human resource of nurse of University hospital. Generalization of Quantification for PLS Correlation

  • This study proposes a quantification algorithm for a PLS method with several sets of variables. We called the quantification method for PLS with more than 2 sets of data a generalization. The basis of the quantification for PLS method is singular value decomposition. To derive the form of singular value decomposition in the data with more than 2 sets more easily, we used the constraint, $a^ta+b^tb+c^tc=3$ not $a^ta=1$, $b^tb=1$, and $c^tc=1$, for instance, in the case of 3 data sets. However, to prove that there is no difference, we showed it by the use of 2 data sets case because it is very complicate to prove with 3 data sets. The keys of the study are how to form the singular value decomposition and how to get the coordinates for the plots of variables and observations.

  • Recently, the research and discussion to set up the evaluation standard for nor impact noises in multistory residential buildings has been vividly carried out In Korea. Therefore, the correlation between the methods and auditory responses was investigated through this research to investigate the applicability of the L index evaluation method and the reverse A characteristics evaluation method that are listed in JIS A 1419 since Japanese circumstance are similar to Korean after evaluating the duality of Korean multistory residential buildings. As a result, it was found that the correlation between the value resulted from L index evaluation and the value from reverse A characteristics evaluation is high. In addition, it was also revealed that human responses to each Impacter was similar. Consequently, it is considered th:31 the tendency about the two methods would be similar.

Measurement of Fuzz Fibers on Fabric Surface Using Image Analysis Methods

  • Fuzz on the fabrics, which is the fibers protruded from the fabric surface, is very important in view of appearance quality, since it causes unpleasant appearance on the fabrics and also leads to pilling which makes fabric appearance and soft­ness worse. However, fuzz on fabric surface is measured mostly by subjective methods (human vision) rather than objective methods. Thus, in this study, objective method using image analysis techniques has been developed for the measurement of fuzz on fabric surface. Fuzz on the fabric has also been ranked and rated by experts in order to see the reliability of the results obtained from the fuzz measurement. It was observed that correlation coefficient (r) between rating value and objective mea­surement value was 0.9 and this correlation coefficient value confirmed the reliability of this method.

Probabilistic Target Speech Detection and Its Application to Multi-Input-Based Speech Enhancement (확률적 목표 음성 검출을 통한 다채널 입력 기반 음성개선)

  • In this paper, an efficient target speech detection algorithm is proposed for the performance improvement of multi-input speech enhancement. Using the normalized cross correlation value between two selected channels, the proposed algorithm estimates the probabilistic distribution function of the value from the pure noise interval. Then, log-likelihoods are calculated with the function and the normalized cross correlation value to detect the target speech interval precisely. The detection results are applied to the generalized sidelobe canceller-based algorithm. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm significantly improves the speech recognition performance and the signal-to-noise ratios.

  • The purpose of this survey was to study nutrition knowledge dietary attitude purpose value of meal and monthly food expenditure in the house wives. The survey was conducted from September 1 to October 20 in 1998. The results were summarized as follows. Nutrition knowledge of the 30s and 40s group were higher than that of the other group. Dietary attitude of the 20s group was lower than that of the other wives. House wives tended to choose food for the pleasure of its taste and intake of nutrients. There was a significant positive correlation between nutrition knowledge and dietary attitude. The diet-ary attitude and nutrition knowledge were significant positive correlations with food diversity. There was negative correlation between age and nutrition knowledge.
