The purpose of this study is to explore the emergence of Chinese economy and the possibility of economic cooperation between the East Asian countries, which will facilitate the solution to structural problems in the economy and industries of these countries. This study presents that China will remain essential to the East Asian economy and changes are anticipated in its economic growth rate, growth strategy and risks. How to respond to them will be the critical movement that will determine the future course of the East Asian economy. To solve this question, firstly each government of East Asian countries needs to come up with strategies that will leverage China for their industrial upgrade and economic development even when the risks facing China are realized. Second, each government of East Asian countries should make a wise approach towards a free trade agreement between EATR and China.

As research cooperation was increased nowadays, This study seeks to explores the performance determinants of research cooperation. Toward this end, this study is focused on generating such determinants as interfirm trust, commitment and corporate capability based on previous studies and existing literature. We define openness, management ability and consideration as sub-variable of interfirm trust, corporate capability was composed of R&D capability, financial capability, management capability and absorptive capacity. Commitment had no sub-variable. Also, this study was composed of two dependent variables, aiming to explore differential performance of research cooperation. Results of the empirical analyses are as follows. First, corporate capability was significant impact on research cooperation. Second, interfirm trust and commitment was not significant to research cooperation. Finally, performance differentiation between two dependent variable was not proved in this study.
Purpose: Recent emergence of diverse businesses in the distribution industry has led small and medium-sized retailers and their distribution logistics centers to face difficulties. Transactions between companies are connected within a supply chain, and the companies have relationships in the form of a supplier and a buyer. Therefore, it is important to identify causes of problems among companies through supply chain and strategic partnerships, thus developing optimal management plans and maximizing performances of companies. This study proposes that sustainable supply chain management consists of product quality, price quality, distribution quality, and promotion quality based on stakeholder theory and resource-based view. This study examined the impacts of sustainable chain management factors on satisfaction and win-win cooperation. Research design, data, and methodology: In the proposed model, satisfaction plays a mediating role in the relationship between sustainable chain management and win-win cooperation. The data were collected from 245 owners who use small and medium-sized distribution logistics center and analyzed using 2SLS (two-stage least square) with SPSS 28.0. Exploratory factor analysis and correlation analysis were used to assess the validity and reliability of constructs. Results: The findings are as follows. In the case of the total and Nadeulgage samples, product, price, and distribution quality had a significant positive effect on satisfaction, but in the case of Neighborhood super, product and price quality have a significant positive effect on satisfaction. Satisfaction has a significant positive effect on win-win cooperation in the overall, Nadeulgage, and Neighborhood super. Satisfaction plays a partial or full mediating role in the case of total, Nadeulgage, Neighborhood super. Conclusions: This study emphasized the need for sustainable supply chain management of small and medium-sized distribution logistics centers by examining the relationship between small and medium-sized distribution logistics centers and chain stores. It was found that store satisfaction plays an important role in the win-win cooperation between small and medium-sized distribution logistics centers and chain stores. Small and medium-sized distribution logistics centers can maximize product quality, price quality, distribution quality, and promotion quality by understanding the effect of chain store-related satisfaction and win-win cooperation on chain stores.

This study aims at grasping the influence of antecedents within SCM to information sharing and cooperation as well as the influence of information sharing on cooperation among the small & medium-sized manufacturing industries, thus ultimately opening the way to the study on the influence of major activities such as information sharing and cooperation within SCM on the business performance by classifying such influence into low perspectives of BSC. The results of this study revealed that the antecedents such as commitment and cultural similarities exercised a significant influence on information sharing while mutual trust and the size of a corporate weighing with cooperative activities. It also identified the fact that information sharing bore a significant influence on cooperation in terms of relationships among activities. For the relationships between the SCM activities and performance, cooperation proved significant to all four balanced scorecard performances with little significant influence of information sharing on balanced scorecard performance. However, taking into consideration of the significance of information sharing on cooperation as well as the significant influence of cooperation on balanced scorecard performance, it fumed out that information sharing also effected a indirect influence on such four types of balanced scorecard performance. In this regard, based on the results of this study, it was identified that information sharing and cooperation, major activities within SCM, had either direct or indirect influence, through the influence of antecedents, on the business balanced scoreboard performance measured from a customer perspective, a business process perspective, an innovation and teaming perspective and a financial perspective.
Today, according to the increased importance of industry-university cooperation in the knowledge-based economy, support and the number of researches involved in industry-university cooperation has also steadily increased. But it is true that profits from the outcome of patents resulting from such cooperation, such as technology transfer and royalty fees, are lower than they are supposed to be, because of excessive patents applications, although some of them have little commercial potential. Therefore, this research aims to suggest a way to analyze and recognize patents, which enable efficient industry-university cooperation and technology transfer. For the analysis, data on 1,061 patents was collected from 4 different universities. With the data, a quality-strategy matrix was arranged targeting the industry-university cooperation foundations', US patents owned by universities, text mining, and social network analysis were carried out, particularly focusing on the patents in the advanced quality technology section of the matrix. Then core key words and IPC codes were obtained and key patents were analyzed by universities. As a result of the analysis, it was found that 4 key patents, 2 key IPC codes were drawn for University H, 4 key patents, 2 key IPC codes for University K, 6 key patents, 1 key IPC code for University Y, 14 key patents, and 2 key IPC codes for University S. This research is expected to have a great significance in contributing to the invigoration of industry-university cooperation based on the analysis result on patents and IPC codes, which enable efficient industry-university cooperation and technology transfer.
This study examines the moderating effect of HQ-subsidiary cooperation on the relationships between standardization and on-time completion of new product development (NPD) and international new product rollout (INPR). It was empirically tested by a Korean sample to verify the validity of the research framework. The results show that the higher the HQ-subsidiary/agent cooperation, the stronger the effect of NPD timeliness on INPR timeliness. However, HQ-subsidiary cooperation does not moderate the relationship between standardization and INPR timeliness. Under conditions in which the subsidiary and headquarters have a positive relationship, open communications, and regular interactions, more successful new product development in terms of planned time schedule is strongly associated with a much faster introduction to overseas markets.

International technological cooperation between Korea and Germany is important from a strategic perspective, especially from the view of hub Asian countries around China and Japan. The Korean strategy has emphasized technological cooperation with Germany, an established hub for the EU. However, German and Korean technological cooperation requires supporting policy by the German government for further technological cooperation with Korea. Active support policies for international technical cooperation have been considered for implementation within the main countries. The German government has increasingly recognized Korea as an important partner country. This paper seeks to identify support policies for German small-to-medium size enterprises (SMEs) for greater technological cooperation. Study results found that German SMEs need to strengthen networks in Korea.
Three hundred of women between twenty and over seventy living around Andong, Sangju, Youngju and northern part of Kyungsang Province replied consumer research on industrialization of traditional clothing products in that area. An age distribution of the women is 60 people (20.0%) between 20 and 34 years old, 147 people (49.1%) between 35 and 54 years old, 93 people (27.9%) over 55 years old and the subject of study included in middle-aged and old-aged is 77.0%. A direct questionnaire and enclosed questionnaire are used to measure. The questions consist of questions about current circumstances of traditional clothing production, features of natural fabrics in the northern part of Kyungsang Province, distributive process, features classified by kinds, directions of development and economic conditions of natural fabrics. Andong has a traditionally unique culture throughout Korea. If Andongpo are developed as clothing fabrics harmonized beauty of tradition with modern characteristics, fashion business in the northern part of Kyungsang Province will be improved. In addition, encouraging majority of the young to participate in this movement is regarded as beneficial for the reinforcement of competitiveness against other regions and public relations of the region. As one of the solutions to development of this traditional clothing business, its own program made by industry-academic cooperation for the development of clothing products which is suitable for traditional fabric in Andong should be implemented.
Purpose - This paper aims to examine the impact of buyer-supplier cooperation on suppliers' trust on buyers and the moderating role of buyers' governance mechanism between the sharing activities and trust. Research design, data, and methodology - An integrated research model is designed to materialize the research hypotheses. First, the impact of buyer-supplier cooperation is empirically analyzed by looking into how the sharing activities, in the field of information, resource, and knowledge, of buyer with supplier will affect the trust of supplier on buyer. Second, the moderating effect of contract-based governance mechanism of buyer is empirically analyzed. Third, the influence of trust on innovation performance of suppler is empirically analyzed. Results - Our findings provide supporting evidence for some of our hypotheses. First, all of the sharing activities are significantly influential, but in different degree, to trust of supplier. Second, contract-based governance mechanism of buyer have a moderating effect on the relationship between sharing activities and trust, positively in resource-sharing activities, negatively in information-sharing activities, not significant in knowledge-sharing activities. Third, supplier's trust on buyer positively affects supplier's own innovation performance. Conclusions - The strategies applied in supply chain management have become important as the competition among firms has shifted from competition between individual firms to competition between supply chains. A customer's sharing activities with its supplier may contribute to an increase in innovation performance. The supplier's information-sharing activity with its customer could affect its information-sharing activities with its main supplier. Cooperative activity with a partner in the supply chain is cultivated and amassed into relationship knowledge, and this study shows that the cooperative relational knowledge related to information-sharing activities enables firms to participate in sharing activities with their main suppliers. Increasing evidence shows that sharing various activities between buyer and supplier improves trust and performance outcomes, and enables firms to maintain competitive advantage. From the perspective of knowledge theory, external knowledge is becoming more important in firms' innovation activities, because innovative knowledge is acquired primarily through interaction with another organization. In addition, relationship learning could be an important tool in absorbing the supplier's core technology, information, expertise, and core competencies, increasing relational value.
