In proportion to the increase of industrial development, emission troubles were concerned as global issue. For these reasons, so many researchers and associated institutes effort to reduce pollution with new technology and various devices. As a kind of these methods, we used catalysts as a after-treatment system. At first, we made equipment of model furnace. And various catalysts were equipped at exhaust duct of combustion system, and excess air ratio( ), change cell numbers, catalyst materials(Pt, Pd) were changed as experimental conditions. With these various condition, temperature, NOx, CO, HC, $CO_2$ and $O_2$ concentration were measured. As a result, NOx conversion were increased with increasing of cell number in Pd catalyst. And Pt catalyst were became 100% conversion at 200 and 300 cell. Also, Pt catalyst was better than Pd catalyst ${\alpha}$=1.5 in this condition. In addition, CO and HC concentrations were decreased${\alpha}$=1.5 with Pd catalyst.

Yellow phosphor dispersed color conversion glasses are promising phosphor materials for white LED applications because of their good thermal durability, chemical stability, and anti-ultraviolet property. Six color conversion glasses were prepared with high Tg and low Tg specimens of glass. Luminous efficacy, luminance, CIE (Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage) chromaticity, CCT (Correlated Color Temperature), and CRI (Color Rendering Index) of the color conversion glasses were analyzed according to the PL spectrum. Color conversion glasses with high Tg glass frit, sintered at higher temperature, showed better luminous properties than did color conversion glasses with low Tg glass frit. The characteristics of the color conversion glass depended on the glass composition rather than on the sintering temperature. The XRD peaks of the YAG phosphor disappeared in the color conversion glass with major components of $B_2O_3$-ZnO-$SiO_2$-CaO and, in the XRD results, new crystalline peaks of $BaSi_2O_5$ appeared in the color conversion glass with major components of $Bi_2O_3$-ZnO-$B_2O_3$-MgO. The characteristics of CIE chromaticity, CCT, and the CRI of low Tg color conversion glasses showed worse color properties than those of high Tg color conversion glasses. However, these color characteristics of low Tg glasses were improved by thickness variation. So color conversion glasses with good characteristics of both luminous and color properties were attained.
Power conversion cycles (Subcritical Steam, Supercritical Steam, Open Air Brayton, Recuperated Air Brayton, Combined Cycle, Closed Brayton Supercritical CO2 (sCO2), and Stirling) are evaluated for land-based nuclear microreactors based on technical maturity, system efficiency, size, cost and maintainability, safety implications, and siting considerations. Based upon these criteria, Air Brayton systems were selected for further evaluation. A brief history of the development and applications of Brayton power systems is given, followed by a description of how these thermal-to-electrical energy conversion systems might be integrated with a nuclear microreactor. Modeling is performed for optimized cycles operating at 3 MW(e) with turbine inlet temperatures of 500 ℃, 650 ℃ and 850 ℃, corresponding to: a) sodium fast, b) molten salt or heat pipe, and c) helium or sodium thermal reactors, coupled with three types of Brayton power conversion units (PCUs): 1) simple open-cycle gas turbine, 2) recuperated open-cycle gas turbine, and 3) recuperated and intercooled open-cycle gas turbine. Aeroderivative turboshaft engines employing the simple Brayton cycle and two industrial gas turbine engines employing recuperated air Brayton cycles are also analyzed. These engines offer mature technology that can facilitate near-term deployment with a modest improvement in efficiency.

Recently, as people pay attention to the environmental pollution, the emissions of diesel engine have been a serious problem. We carried out the performance evaluation test of Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOC) for HSDI diesel engine equipped vehicles. The DOC, basically coated with Pt catalyst, was manufactured with various washcoat materials. It was found that CO conversion efficiency depends on temperature, but THC conversion efficiency is dominated by temperature and space velocity. The THC and CO conversion efficiencies of aged catalysts were increased with additions of $ZrO_2$ and zeolite B in the washcoat. We found that DOC performance changes with coating techniques, even through it has same washcoat materials. The DOC coated by high temperature washcoat coating technology showed good conversion efficiency than low temperature washcoat coated DOC.

To verify the viability of Co, Ru and Zr-based catalyst for $CO_2$ (dry) reforming reaction, catalysts were fabricated using cordierite, silicon carbide and rota monolithic substrates, and they were compared with the conventional $Co-Ru-Zr/SiO_2$ catalyst in terms of performance and durability. Cordierite monolith was showed high activity with the least amount of active component. In addition, when Cordierite monolith was coated with Co-Ru-Zr in various ways, most excellent performance was showed at a precursor solution coating method. In particular, when 0.9 wt% Co-Ru-Zr/Cordierite was used for reaction, it was observed that 95% $CO_2$ conversion was maintained for 300 h at $900^{\circ}C$.
To efficiently recycle GH78 thermostable rhamnosidase (TpeRha) and easily separate it from the reaction mixture and furtherly improve the enzyme properties, the magnetic particle Fe3O4-SiO2-NH2-Cellu-ZIF8 (FSNcZ8) was prepared by modifying Fe3O4-NH2 with tetraethyl silicate (TEOS), microcrystalline cellulose and zinc nitrate hexahydrate. FSNcZ8 displayed better magnetic stability and higher-temperature stability than unmodified Fe3O4-NH2 (FN), and it was used to adsorb and immobilize TpeRha from Thermotoga petrophilea 13995. As for properties, FSNcZ8-TpeRha showed optimal reaction temperature and pH of 90℃ and 5.0, while its highest activity approached 714 U/g. In addition, FSNcZ8-TpeRha had better higher-temperature stability than FN. After incubation at 80℃ for 3 h, the residual enzyme activities of FSNcZ8-TpeRha, FN-TpeRha and free enzyme were 93.5%, 63.32%, and 62.77%, respectively. The organic solvent tolerance and the monosaccharides tolerance of FSNcZ8-TpeRha, compared with free TpeRha, were greatly improved. Using naringin (1 mmol/l) as the substrate, the optimal conversion conditions were as follows: FSNcZ8-TpeRha concentration was 6 U/ml; induction temperature was 80℃; the pH was 5.5; induction time was 30 min, and the yield of products was the same as free enzyme. After repeating the reaction 10 times, the conversion of naringin remained above 80%, showing great improvement of the catalytic efficiency and repeated utilization of the immobilized α-L-rhamnosidase.
The direct reaction of carbon dioxide($CO_2$) with butane($C_4H_{10}$) to obtain synthesis gas and hydrocarbon compounds have been studied on nickel loaded catalysts. In the reaction of $CO_2$ with $C_4H_{10}$, Ni loaded catalysts showed similar activity with Pt catalyst and Coke deposition on the catalyst was severe by dehydrogenation of butane. The main products were carbon monoxide and hydrogen, when alumina and Y type zeolite were used as a support. Instead, a great deal of aromatic hydrocarbons were obtained on the Ni loaded ZSM-5 catalyst. The conversion of $CO_2$ increased with the increasing molar ratio of $CO_2$/$C_4H_{10}$ on Ni/ZSM-5, Ni/NaY and Ni/alumina catalyst, but the conversion decreased again from the ratio of 2. The value of $CO_2$ conversion was the highest at the 5wt% of Ni loading on ZSM-5 catalyst. A part of cokes deposited on the catalysts diminished when only $CO_2$ gas or water steam flowed into the reactor. The coke deposited on the catalysts was very reactive and it may be an important intermediate for the carbon dioxide reforming reaction.

Entrained coal gasification tests with Datong coal were performed to assess the influence of oxygen/coal ration and pressure. When gasification condition in oxygen/coal ratio has changed from 0.5 to 1.0, optimal gasification condition from low pressure runs was oxygen/coal ratio of approximately 0.9 where CO was produced about 40% and H, about 20%. Under the pressure condition of 12-14 atmospheres, optimal oxygen/coal ratio value was in the region of 0.6 where CO was produced about 55% and H2about 25%. From these results, it was found that the oxygen/ coal ratio for the maximum production of CO and H, was decreasing with the increase in gasifier pressure and also, with increasing oxygen content, carbon conversion was increased. For the Chinese Datong coal, cold gas efficiency was in the range of 40-80%.
In this study, the syngas producing facility that consists of pulverized coal feeding/gasification and hot gas clean-up system was tested for Indonesian subbituminous coal. And the DME conversion facilities have been developed and tested for converting syngas to DME by reactions with catalysts. So, the entrained-bed slagging type pi lot scale coal gasifier was operated normally in the temperature range of $1,400{\sim}1,450^{\circ}C,\;7{\sim}8kg/cm^2$ pressure. And Roto middle coal produced syngas that has a composition of $36{\sim}38%$ CO, $14{\sim}16%\;H_2,\;and\;5{\sim}8%\;CO_2$. Particulates in syngas were 99.8% removed by metal filters. $H_2S$ composition in syngas was also desulfurized by the Fe chelate system to yield less than 0.1 ppm level. When the clean syngas $70{\sim}100 Nm^3/h$ was provided to DME conversion rector, normally operated in the temperature range of $230{\sim}250^{\circ}C$ and $60kg/cm^2$ pressure, 4.5% DME was yielded.
