  • This study analyzes life experiences and prospects of poverty/welfare exit of the poor with work ability utilizing Mixed methodology. Based on Sequential Exploratory Design, it qualitatively analyzes 3 waves of qualitative panel data linked to Korea Welfare Panel Study(KWPS) and presents life changes of 14 poor in the context of their prospects of welfare/poverty exit. Then it proposes hypotheses on the role of education, household economy expectation, self-esteem in the prospects of poverty/welfare exit following the sequential exploratory design to quantitatively test qualitative findings utilizing KWPS(7th). The outcomes of the Structural Equation Model(SEM) suggest that household economy expectation plays mediating role between education and the prospects of welfare/poverty exit. This implies that anti-poverty policy needs to consider a psychological approach to enhance household economy expectations of the poor as well as other material support.

  • This paper describes the application of Genetic Algorithms(GAs) to nonlinear constrained mixed optimization problems. Genetic Algorithms are combinatorial in nature, and therefore are computationally suitable for treating discrete and integer design variables. But, several problems that conventional GAs are ill defined are application of penalty function that can be adapted to transform a constrained optimization problem into an unconstrained one and premature convergence of solution. Thus, we developed an improved GAs to solve this problems, and two examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the methodology developed in this paper.

After applying network analysis to corresponding groups of technology or industry convergence, strategy for future energy convergence industry is provided. Patent data applied in Daegu city area are used to obtain research goal. The technology which contains several IPC codes (IPC Co-occurrence) is considered as a convergence technology. Path finder network analysis is used for visualizing and grouping by using IPC codes. The analysis results categorized 13 groups in energy convergence industry and reclassified them into 3 cluster groups (Smart Energy Product Production Technology Group, Smart Energy Convergence Supply Technology Group, Smart Energy Indirect Application Technology Group) considering the technical characteristics and policy direction. Also, energy industry has evolved rapidly by technological convergence with other industries. Especially, it has been converged with IT industry, and there is a trend that energy industry will be converged with service industry and manufacturing industry such as textile, automobile parts, mechanics, and logistics by employing infrastructure as well as network. Based on the research results on core patent technology, convergence technology and inter-industry analysis, the direction of core technology research and development as well as evolution on decentralized energy industry is identified. By using research design and methodology in this study, the trend of convergence technology is investigated based on objective data (patent data). Above all, we can easily confirm the core technology in the local industry by analyzing the industrial competitiveness in the macro level. Based on this, we can identify convergence industry and technology by performing the technological convergence analysis in the micro level.

  • The purpose of this study is to review the influence of 3D printing technology on the formability and artistic value of ceramic works through a theoretical review of 3D printing technology and a case study of ceramic works that incorporate them creatively. Thus, the following conclusions were drawn from the analysis of the ceramic works of seven artists and two design teams. First, digital production that incorporates 3D printing technology into works can be applied to data applications and changes, unlike the existing manual methods, and the artist's unique creative artwork is possible. Second, a new paradigm has emerged that expresses the new material, method, advanced digital technology, and more stereoscopic and colorful sculptures out of the traditional ceramic concepts. In the future, I hope to find new methodology that meets the developing digital technology through continuous research and utilization of 3D printing and realizing new value of ceramic design.

  • Because the wheel of V-belt continuously variable transmission (CVT) system driven by permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) has much unknown nonlinear and time-varying characteristics, the better control performance design for the linear control design is a time consuming job. In order to overcome difficulties for design of the linear controllers, a hybrid recurrent Chebyshev neural network (NN) control system is proposed to control for a PMSM servo-driven V-belt CVT system under the occurrence of the lumped nonlinear load disturbances. The hybrid recurrent Chebyshev NN control system consists of an inspector control, a recurrent Chebyshev NN control with adaptive law and a recouped control. Moreover, the online parameters tuning methodology of adaptive law in the recurrent Chebyshev NN can be derived according to the Lyapunov stability theorem and the gradient descent method. Furthermore, the optimal learning rate of the parameters based on discrete-type Lyapunov function is derived to achieve fast convergence. The recurrent Chebyshev NN with fast convergence has the online learning ability to respond to the system's nonlinear and time-varying behaviors. Finally, to show the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme, comparative studies are demonstrated by experimental results.

  • This paper presents a state observer design for a class of MTMO nonlinear systems that has a block triangular structure. For this, the extension of the existing design for SISO triangular systems to MIMO cases is provided. Since the gain of the proposed observer. depends on a nonlinear part as well as a linear one of a system, it improves the transient performance of the high gain ob-server. Also, by using a generalized similarity transformation for the error dynamics, it is shown that order some boundedness condi-tion, the proposed observer guarantees the global exponential convergence of the estimation error. Finally, we will give a simulation example to show the validity of our design methodology.
