Unstable Approach Mitigation Based on Flight Data Analysis (비행 데이터 분석 기반의 불안정 접근 경감방안)

  • According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), 61% of the accidents occurred during the approach and landing phase of the flight, with 16% of the accidents caused by unstable access of the commercial aircraft. It was identified that the pilot's unstable approach and poor manipulation of correction led to accidents by continuing the excessive approach without go-around manuever. The causes of unstable access may vary, including airport approach procedures, pilot error, misplanning, workload, ATC (Air Traffic Contol) congestion, etc. In this study, we use the flight data analysis system to select domestic case airports and aircraft type where unstable approach events occur repeatedly. Through flight data analysis, including main events, airport approach procedures, pilot operations, as well as various environmental factors such as weather and geographical conditions at the airport. It aims to identify and eliminate the tendency of unstable approach events and the causes and risks of them to derive implications for mitigating unstable approach events and for developing navigation safety measures.

  • The goal for the CD&R system is to predict that a conflict is going to occur in the future, communicate the detected conflict to a human operator, and, in some cases, assist in the resolution of the conflict situation. To provide insight into different methods of conflict detection and resolution, a literature review of previous research models and current developmental and operational systems was performed. This paper focuses only on the specific attributes of each model, not on the depth to which a model has been analyzed, validated, or accepted. Thus, care should be taken to remember that a model that seems to be simple according to our categorization scheme may be significantly more viable than an apparently sophisticated model.

  • On December 19, 2015, as Article 29-3 (Installation of Accident Recording Devices and Provision of Information) of Motor Vehicle Management Act came into force, In Korea, the EDR (Event Data Recorder) reports are often used for the analysis of various traffic accident cases such as multiple collisions, traffic insurance crimes, and sudden unintended acceleration (SUA), and the others. So many investigators have analyzed the driver's behavior and vehicle situation by comparing the time zero in the EDR report to the actual crash time in dash-cam (or CCTV). Time zero (T0) is defined as the reference time for the record interval or time interval when recording an accident in Article 56-2, Enforcement rule of Performance and Standard for Automobile and Automotive parts. Also in the EDR report, time zero (T0) is defined as whichever of the following occurs first; 1. "wake-up" by an air-bag control system, 2. Continuously running algorithms (by monitoring of longitudinal or lateral delta-V), 3. Deployment of a non-reversible deployment restraint. We have already proposed the "Flowchart & Checklist" to adopt the EDR report for traffic accident investigation and the necessity of specialized institutions or courses to systematically educate or analyze the EDR data. Therefore, in this paper, we report to traffic accident investigators notable points and analysis methods based on some real-world traffic accidents that can be misjudged in specifying time zero (T0).

Effects of Treatment Using PNF Pattern Irradiation in the Weight-Bearing Position on Pain and Foot Alignment in a Patient with Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome: A Single-Subject Experimental Study

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the use of insoles in patients with temporomandibular joint disorders to assess the function and changes in pain when walking in daily life. Methods: Sixty-five patients with temporomandibular joint disorder, were selected, with 34 assigned to the control group and 31 to the experimental group. The control group walked more than 7,000 steps per day in their daily life, while the experimental group wore insoles and was instructed to take at least 7,000 steps every day. To evaluate the effect on temporomandibular joint pain, steady-state pain, maximum mouth opening, average pain, and the most severe pain were measured before and after the experiment. In addition, to determine function, mouth opening in a comfortable state, mouth opening pain, and the point of sound and the maximum degree of mouth opening were evaluated before and after the experiment. Results: After the experiment, pain, mouth opening, and sound points showed significant differences compared to the control group. However, there was no significant difference in the maximum mouth opening range. Conclusion: The application of air insoles to patients with temporomandibular joint disorder confirmed the function of the temporomandibular joint and its positive effects on pain.

  • For measuring a traffic symbolic confusion quantity and symbolic air pleasantness, we use fuzzy sensor algorithm maded by symbolic information quantity. But for implementation of fuzzy sensor, we use some symbolic information item, this method cannot produce precise output because we use vague fuzzy rule method and we cannot abundance fuzzy for precision of fuzzy rule method. For this reason this paper introduce new fuzzy sensor algorithm composed of not fuzzy rule method but using Analytic Hierachy Process. To prove that new method is good, two type of fuzzy sensor applied to traffic signal controller and through much passing vehicle, two fuzzy sensor compared each other.

  • Traffic-related air pollutants and particulates from diesel exhaust cause for increasing respiratory health problem. Recent epidemiologic studies have reported adverse effects of urban air pollution on various aspects of respiratory health. Bus or truck terminal workers have high probability of exposure to diesel exhaust particle than general office worker. This study was designed to evaluate the relationship between pulmonary function of people who working at the high-density area of diesel vehicles and pulmonary function of people who working at general office in Seoul. So, this study explored the effects on people with exposure to diesel traffic or exposure to diesel traffic, through the pulmonary function test (PFT). There were significant difference in Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) and Forced Expiratory Volume in 1 second ($FEV_1$) between high-exposure group and control. High-exposure to diesel particle were increased risk of reduction in pulmonary function in this study. These results provide the necessity additional research that manage people who working at the high-density area of diesel vehicles.

  • We Studied current Flight Information System everyone employing, and this paper designed a next generation Ubiquitous Flight Information System. Studied a Ubiquitous Flight Information System regarding AVOD, game TV, cellular phone, cabin Internet use for a customer, and airline and control of Air Traffic Service, Air Traffic Control, in seat reservation, transportation, ticketing and luggage back-tracking and airplanes in earthly service. We Designed for a Next Generation Ubiquitous Flight Information System and for necessary for network security, system security of information security system, and derived from comparative analysis of improvement point and difference to existing Ubiquitous Flight Information System and Next Generation Ubiquitous Flight Information as was based on result of research. Present vision to aerial the result of research world of this paper related industry, and ensure safety and communication efficiency and a customer and flight satisfaction, efficiency, and will reclaim the new horizon to the Flight Information Industry.

  • Active radar reflector may be less familiar, since their uses have been limited to military applications, especially the enhancement of the effective radar cross-sections of missile test range in the drone aircraft and missiles. Perhaps the most widely-Down applications of radar transponders are Identification Friend or Foe(IFF) and its civilian counterpart secondary surveilliance radar for Air Traffic Control(ATC), and most recently, as Search And Rescue Transponder(SART) in the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System(GMDSS). Since it happens frequently accidents on the sea, the problems of the contamination more seriously considered. The conventional navigation buoy and utilities are not sufficient to maintain the safety of the sea and thus new structured concept must be considered. Therefore, this paper propose and implement the active radar reflector with a enhanced function. The results are shown that the performance of the system is significantly improved comparing with the conventional utilities.

  • There are 24 airways in Incehon IFR, including 11 domestic routes and 13 international routes. The airways designated by ministry of Transportation and Construction are the routes for aircraft to fly being serviced by air traffic control system for flight safety. This study reviewed safety situation of existing permanent airways within Incheon IFR and temporary airways connecting North and South Korea. The study tried to identify the problems related to airway operation and to suggest solutions to the questionable area. The main findings are as follows: It is necessary to improve the existing normal airway systems and enlargement of the route. The airway A593 has to be upgraded to normal route. The temporary airways established to connect Seoul and Pyongyang also needs to be upgraded by air traffic control transfer agreement between two Koreas.

A Study on the Reduction of Photochemical Ozone Concentration using OZIPR in Seoul Area (OZIPR을 이용한 서울지역 광화학오존농도 저감방안에 관한 연구)

  • This study was executed to know the best matrix of photochemical ozone reduction in the metropolitan area. For this object, we used the OZIPR(Ozone Isopleth Plotting Package for Research) model for comparing the effectiveness of VOCs and NOx amount variation about the ozone creation. Among the various ozone reduction scenarios, 50% reduction of VOCs from organic solvent and road traffic respectively was the best matrix for ozone reduction. Although it needs more accurate assessment and confirmation of VOCs and NOx emission amount data, according to existing data, the control of VOCs is the best way for photochemical ozone reduction in Seoul.
