제어방식에 따른 산업용 수냉각기의 운전 특성 비교 (A Comparison of Operating Characteristics for Industrial Water Cooler with Variation of Control Methods)

  • This paper presents a comparison of operating characteristics for industrial water cooler with variation control methods. The performance analysis regarding the characteristics of condensation capacity, evaporation capacity, compressor load, COP of an on-off type cooler, a hot gas-bypass control type cooler and an inverter control type cooler with respect to the system load is reviewed, respectively. The primary results are as following: the variation of required compressor load of an on-off type cooler with respect to load is 5%, that of hot gas-bypass type is 18% and 66% for an inverter control type cooler. As the result shows, an inverter control type yields relatively huge difference of required compressor load compared to other types of control system. In terms of partial load, COP of an inverter control type cooler presents the highest value, and is considered as the optimized type for the used of the system involving frequent partial load.

성인의 체중조절에 대한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory Study on The Weight Control of Adult)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the subjective opinions related to the weight control by using Q-methodology. Forty four adults were selected for P-sample from July to August, 1998. The collected data were analyzed by PC Quanl program. The results were as follows : There were 5 types of the adult's opinions about the weight control. Type I(Concern about weight control) : This type believes that there is a problem with general social attitudes, but the weight control it self is necessary. Type II(Health conscious) : This type believes that good health is very important and weight control is way of maintaining and improving good health. Type III(Obsessive) : This type believes that weight control is absolutely necessary no matter what it takes including extreme dietary change. Type IV(Influence by social pressure) : This type believes that the external stimulation and help is needed to motivate weight control. Type V(Self control) : This type believes that self determination is necessary regardless of social pressure.

여성 소비자의 식생활 라이프스타일에 따른 체중 조절 행위에 관한 연구 (A Study on Weight Control Behavior by Female Consumers Eating Life Styles)

  • The study investigated the eating lifestyles of female consumers and whether they influenced weight control behavior. The findings of the study can be summarized as follows. First, the eating lifestyles of the subjects were presented four types: 'active eating life pursuit type', 'safe economical type', 'gourmet type' and 'passive negligence type'. In general, most cases were of the 'passive negligence type'. Second, weight control behavior was analyzed according to eating lifestyle. The results of the analysis indicated that the female consumers of the 'active eating life pursuit type' and 'safe economy type' had high behavior levels in each aspect of weight control attitude, subjective regulation, perceived behavior control, and behavior intention. Third, the 'gourmet type', with a strong preference for taste, and the 'passive negligence type', with fewer eating considerations in general, showed weaker attitudes towards weight control and the recognition of pressure from people around them. As such, the level of consideration for food or eating was correlated with weight control. These findings impliedy that the more active, safer, and economical women are in their general eating style, the stronger they perceive weight control issues.

이중 EHA의 제어 특성 개선 (Control-performance Improvement of Dual EHAs)

  • For this paper, the position-control performances of dual EHA(electro-hydrostatic actuator) systems were investigated according to two cases wherein the double-rod- and single-rod-type hydraulic cylinders were combined. Since the control performance is significantly dependent on the load conditions including external forces such as the inertia load, it is proposed here that the two sub-EHAs are driven by separate position and force controllers, instead of two identical position controllers. According to the simulation results, the best performance was achieved by the position-controlled single-rod-type EHA that was combined with a force-controlled double-rod-type EHA. As the force-controlled double-rod-type EHA compensated for the external loads on the position-controlled single-rod-type EHA, the position-control performance was not influenced by external forces including the inertia load. In addition, the position-controlled single-rod-type EHA contributed to the enhancement of the damping ratio by absorbing the pressure peaks through its internal accumulator. Due to the symmetrical piston areas, the double-rod-type EHA is more suitable for force control than the single-rod- type EHA.

  • In general, speed control method of the elevator system has used motor pole change type or motor primary voltage control type. But it will change to vector control type in order to increase it's reliability, riding comfort and decrease material cost. It is the conception of vector control type in order to increase it's reliability, riding comfort and decrease material cost. It is the conception of vector control that primary current of the induction motor be controlled independently with magnetizing current(field current of DC motor) and torque current(armature current of DC motor). In this paper, by analyzing the effect of the time constant variation of rotor of the induction motor on the slip frequency type indirect vector control, a drive system for the motor will be constructed using a fuzzy slip frequency type indirect vector controller with fuzzy control method for estimating the vector time constant in the slip frequency type indirect vector control. The goal of this study is to enabling even more efficient speed control by constructing on elevator driver based on the newly developed drive system.

지연시간을 갖는 다변수 유량제어 시스템의 2-자유도 PID 제어기 특성 비교 (The comparison of the output characteristics of 2-DOF PID controller in the multivariable flow control system with delayed time)

  • In this paper, we studied the response characteristics of $\alpha$, $\beta$ separated type, combined type, PI typed, and feedforward type in 2DOF-PID controller through the simulation and the experiments designed with the multivariable flow control system. The parameters $\alpha$ and $\beta$ give an affect to characteristics of controller in separated type but $\gamma$ does not give an affect to the characteristics of 2-DOF PID. The more $\beta$ increases, the more overshoot decreases and especially, in case of PI type represent clearly. The $\alpha$, $\beta$ separated type has a very small overshoot and its magnitudes in 2-DOF PID onctroller increases in order of $\alpha$, $\beta$ combined type, PI type, feedforward type, conventional type. The response characteristics of simulation are similar to that of experiments but the experimental characteristics in the multivariable flow control system has the delayed response. The time delay of response in experiments depends on 2-DOF parameter $\alpha$, $\beta$, $\gamma$ and the overshoot increase as the $\alpha$, $\beta$, $\gamma$ increase. So, we can have a satisfactory response by tuning D gain.

  • In order to control multi-zone temperatures, a multi-type air-conditioning system may be used. In this study, control algorithms for the compressor and the electronic expansion valve of a multi-type air-conditioning system were developed by using fuzzy logics. The compressor control algorithm was composed of a compressor pressure setpoint algorithm, a compressor pressure setpoint reset algorithm, and a compressor frequency setpoint algorithm. The electronic expansion valve control algorithm was composed of an indoor temperature control algorithm, and a superheat control algorithm. These algorithms were applied to a multi-type air-conditioning system. Test showed good results for the control of a multi-type air-conditioning system.

  • The purpose of this study was to ascertain if psychological home environment and parental verbal control type had gender-specific affects on a child's self-resilience. Questionnaires were used to collect information on 356 children who attend elementary school. The major findings were as follows : (1) Positive correlations were established among psychological home environment and parental verbal control type;(2)Fathers' verbal control type was significantly positively related to a child's gender;(3) Father's verbal control type affected self-resilience of boys, while mother's verbal control type affected self-resilience of girls.

Tolerance Control for the Inner Open-Switch Faults of a T-Type Three-Level Rectifier

  • The T-type topology is a three-level topology that has an advantage in terms of its number of switching device and its efficiency when compared to the neutral-point clamped (NPC)-type topology. With the recent increase in the usage of the T-type topology, the interest in its reliability has also increased. Therefore, a tolerance control for a T-type rectifier is necessary to improve the reliability of applications when an open-switch fault occurs. NPC-type rectifiers cannot eliminate input current distortion completely. However, the T-type rectifier is able to restore distorted current. In this paper, a tolerance control for the $S_{x2}$ and $S_{x3}$ open-switch faults of a T-type rectifier is proposed where it is advantageous in terms of efficiency when compared with other tolerance controls. The performance of the proposed tolerance control is verified through simulation and experimental results.

Design of Simple-Structured Fuzzy Logic Systems for Segway-Type Mobile Robot

  • Studies on the control of the inverted pendulum type system have been widely reported. This is because it is a typical complex nonlinear system and may be a good model for verifying the performance of a proposed control system. In this paper, we propose the design of some fuzzy logic control (FLC) systems for controlling a Segway-type mobile robot, which is an inverted pendulum type system. We first derive a dynamic model of the Segway-type mobile robot and then analyze it in detail. Next, we propose the design of some FLC systems that have good performance for the control of any nonlinear system. Then, we design two conventional FLC systems for the position and balance control of the Segway-type mobile robot, and we demonstrate their usefulness through simulations. Next, we point out the possibility of simplifying the design process and reducing the computational complexity,, which results from the skew symmetric property of the fuzzy control rule tables. Finally, we design two other FLC systems for position and balance control of the Segway-type mobile robot. These systems have only one input variable in the FLC systems. Furthermore, we observe that they offer similar control performance to that of the conventional two-input FLC systems.
