In February,2004, at International Maritime Organization (IMO), LONDON, a new international convention 'International Convention fur the Control and Management of Ship's Ballast Water and Sediment 2004' was adopted. It is called 'Ballast Water Management Convention (BWM)'. Ballast water means charged seawater or fresh water in ship's special tanks (ballast tank) to keep safety navigation and ship's maneuverability. However, from 1980, it was point out the serious problem for marine ecosystem and human life that ballast water includes harmful marine species (and small organisms) and these species are also discharged along with ballast water. These species were released with discharged ballast water in water areas, where species are different from discharged ballast water. The problem is that released species increase when released species are more powerful than native species and consequently, marine ecological system is destroyed in released water area. Authors have inspected the validity of the ballast water exchange using pumping-through method that is one of the methods of ballast water management. In this paper, the numerical simulation of the motion and density of the fluid at the time of exchange of the fluid in a 2-dimensional tank using the pumping-through method was carried out by using two different type numerical methods. One method is MPS method that is one of the particle methods. Other one is Finite Different Method (FDM). Authors were compared with result of two numerical method calculations and experiment result and reported some knowledge from these results.

Colored dissolved organic matter(CDOM) is an important component of ocean color that can be used as an invaluable tool in water quality and ocean color studies. With the largest source of coastal CDOM appearing to be from freshwater discharge into the ocean, coastal predictive models will do much to refine our knowledge about major processes that control CDOM distributions in coastal waters and provide a better insight into the global carbon cycle. This study aims at developing a GIS-based watershed-scale predictive model of CDOM distributions in Neponset river watersheds that can be used to appraise our understanding of CDOM sources and distributions in coastal waters and predict the response of CDOM concentration to changes in land use patterns. Weighting factors are developed for CDOM freshwater sources after extensive groundtruthing from various landuse types in the watershed. This model makes use of a publicly available DEM(Digital elevation model) as the base data for analysis. Stream networks, discharge, and land use data are used from public repositories while sub- watershed delineation, pour-points, and land use parcels are generated using Spatial Analysis of ArcGIS 9.2 to estimate the CDOM loading from various sources to the lower tributaries of rivers. The Neponset Watershed in eastern Massachusetts is selected as the site for development of the model.

The storytelling skill was focused on set the astronomical target wants to set up a story, through the small group discussion, present subject of the story, set the protagonist of the story for smooth configuration of the story, in order to smooth the flow of the story, make up a story around a hero, to make a clear story, decorated with pictures, shapes, graphs, etc, group story, complete with an astronomical(saints) in storytelling. To prove the effects of this study, science concept was split up according to knowledge, inquiry, attitude. Also, science learning motivation consisted of assignment is worth, learning beliefs about control, self efficacy. The results of this study are as follows. First, using storytelling skill was effective in science concept. Second, using storytelling skill was effective in science learning motivation. Also, after using storytelling skill was good reaction by students. As a result, the elementary science class with storytelling skill had the effects of developing science concept and science learning motivation. It means the science class with storytelling skill has potential possibilities and value to develop science concept and science learning motivation.
Although information design principles had originated from the graphic design field including publishing design in 1970s, information design have taken one of the most important positions in multimedia design fields as the present since Richard Saul Wurmn started his researches on information design and its practical application on internet environments. However, relatively little researches have been performed for building identity of information design in multimedia design fields so far and moreover in some cases, information design is likely to be narrowly viewed as 'the representation of a piece of information and its visualization' which was defined in traditional graphic design field. This research circumstance leads the study to investigate characteristics of information design in current multimedia design with contingent perspective which is compared to the traditional information design. The study results suggest 5 characteristics of information design including 'suggesting context & finding out information hierarchy', 'access of integrated consideration & share of information control', 'using of multi-dimensional media & content first', 'stabilization of information quality & combinational understanding of meaning', 'bilateral information representation & user's knowledge expansion'. Future researches, based on the results of the study, are expected to be expanded to a degree with argument for inter-dependent and/or exclusive characteristics of adjacent fields of information design such as interface design, interaction design and experience design.

Methods : We searched articles in the Pubmed using keywords "On cheong eum", "On sei in", "Wen qing yin", "Jie du si wu tang" and "Jie du si wu decoction". We also searched in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) using key words "温清饮" and "解毒四物汤", We selected 5 studies after excluding non-clinical or unrelated studies. Results : One pre-post comparison study and four controlled clinical trials were performed. On cheong eum and modified On cheong eum were used for the treatment of skin disease-recurrent aphthous ulcer, psoriasis vulgaris, neurodermatitis, and skin pruritus. All of the studies showed positive results, and they reported that the treatment group had higher effective rate than control group. However, the quality of these clinical studies were not evaluated. Conclusions : According to this study, On cheong eum would be an effective and safe intervention in skin disease. Therefore, based on this study, more clinical research using On cheong eum should be performed in Korean medicine in the near future.
Objectives The purpose of this study is to analyze recent clinical studies on treatment for precocious puberty. Methods 28 clinical studies from January 2009 to December 2016 about precocious puberty from the China Academic Journal (CAJ), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), were selected and reviewed: 22 case control studies and 6 case series. Results The main traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatment was the herbal decoctions and granules. The frequently used herbs were root of Bupleurum falcatum (柴胡), fruit of Prunella vulgaris var. aleutica (夏枯草), root stem of Anemarrhena asphodeloides (知母), dried fungus nucleus of Poria cocos (茯苓), Rehmannia glutinosa var. purpurea (生地黃), peony Paeonia suffruticosa Andrews (牧丹皮), bark of Phellodendron amurense (黃柏), roots of a plant Paeoniae lactiflora (白芍藥). On the other hand, the main western medicine (WM) for precocious puberty was Gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRHa). Total effective rate of the TCM group was 62.96-100%, that of the WM group was 36.6-93.3% and that of the TCM-WM group was 77.8-93.75%. Conclusions Traditional Chinese medicine has been shown as an effective treatment for precocious puberty. These research results can be utilized in other clinical studies and in treatment of precocious puberty.

Radiation therapy, the most commonly used for the treatment of brain tumors, has been shown to be of major significance in tumor control and survival rate of brain tumor patients. About 200,000 patients with brain tumor are treated with either partial large field or whole brain radiation every year in the United States. The use of radiation therapy for treatment of brain tumors, however, may lead to devastating functional deficits in brain several months to years after treatment. In particular, whole brain radiation therapy results in a significant reduction in learning and memory in brain tumor patients as long-term consequences of treatment. Although a number of in vitro and in vivo studies have demonstrated the pathogenesis of radiation-mediated brain injury, the cellular and molecular mechanisms by which radiation induces damage to normal tissue in brain remain largely unknown. Therefore, this review focuses on the pathophysiological mechanisms of whole brain radiation-induced cognitive impairment and the identification of novel therapeutic targets. Specifically, we review the current knowledge about the effects of whole brain radiation on pro-oxidative and pro-inflammatory pathways, matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs)/tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases (TIMPs) system and extracellular matrix (ECM), and physiological angiogenesis in brain. These studies may provide a foundation for defining a new cellular and molecular basis related to the etiology of cognitive impairment that occurs among patients in response to whole brain radiation therapy. It may also lead to new opportunities for therapeutic interventions for brain tumor patients who are undergoing whole brain radiation therapy.

The Shprintzen-Goldberg syndrome (SGS) is an extremely rare genetic disorder caused by heterozygous variant in SKI. SGS is characterized by neurodevelopmental impairment with skeletal anomaly. Recognition of SGS is sometimes quite challenging in practice because it has diverse clinical features involving skeletal, neurological, and cardiovascular system. Here we report a case of a 6-month-old boy who initially presented with developmental delay and marfanoid facial features including prominent forehead, hypertelorism, high arched palate and retrognathia. He showed motor developmental delay since birth and could not control his head at the time of first evaluation. His height was above 2 standard deviation score. Arachnodactyly, hypermobility of joints, skin laxity, and pectus excavatum were also noted. Sequencing for FBN1 was negative, however, a novel missense variant, c.350G>A in SKI was identified by sequential whole exome sequencing. To our knowledge, this is the first case with SGS with phenotypic features of SGS overlapping with those of the Marfan syndrome, diagnosed by next generation sequencing in Korea.
This study was carried out to investigate effects of nutrition education on diet program S-28 for a per-iod of 5 months. The participants in this diet program were 40 Chungkang college female students with over 30% body fat. During the first 2 weeks they were provided 800kcal a day and 1,200kcal a day for the lat 2 weeks. Since then weight maintenance program was continued. Exercise and nutrition e여-cation program for nutrition knowledge attitude and food habit were conducted during the entire test period, Results during the test period were as follows : 1) Weight loww was statistically significant from 69.5$\pm$4.9kg at the beginning to65.6$\pm$3.0kg(P<0.01) in 3 months to 63.2$\pm$3.5kg(P<0.01) in the 5th month. 2) Obesity rate was significantly decreased from 23.9$\pm$12.1% to 21.3$\pm$9.2%(P<0.05) in 3 mon-ths to 19.7$\pm$8.5% in the 5th month. 3) BMI was significantly declined from 27.3$\pm$1.5kg/m2 to 26.1$\pm$1. 2kg/m2(P<0.01) in 3 months to 25.7$\pm$0.9kg/m2(P<0.05) in 3 months to 28.2$\pm$1.8%(p<0.05) in the 5th month. 5) The mean scores of food habit were 33.4$\pm$4.5 at the beginning 35.2$\pm$3.7 in 3 mon-손 37.4$\pm$4.0 in the 5th month and each of nutrition attitude was 53.8$\pm$5.3, 58.0$\pm$6.2. There-fore these data showed that effects of nutrition education on diet program S-28 were feflected remark-ably not only in the antropmetric measurements but also in the mean scores of food habit and nu-trition attitude.
Q-Learning, a representative algorithm of reinforcement learning, experiences repeatedly until estimation values about all state-action pairs of state space converge and achieve optimal policies. When the state space is high dimensional or continuous, complex reinforcement learning tasks involve very large state space and suffer from storing all individual state values in a single table. We introduce Q-Map that is new function approximation method to get classified policies. As an agent learns on-line, Q-Map groups states of similar situations and adapts to new experiences repeatedly. State-action pairs necessary for fine control are treated in the form of rule. As a result of experiment in maze environment and mountain car problem, we can achieve classified knowledge and extract easily rules from Q-Map
