In this paper, I propose double parallel manipulator for machining work. And I derive an kinematics by combining the kinematics of the central axis and the kinematics of the link train of linear actuator. The Jacobian of the central axis and the Jacobian of the link train of the linear actuators are induced by a motor algebra and they are combined to an entire Jacobian matrix to transform the velocity of the end effector to those of linear actuators. And then this paper presents the development of control system and user interface program for machining work.

In this paper, an analysis on a new robot manipulator developed for the side buffing of the shoes is presented. The robot manipulator is composed of five degrees of freedom. An analysis on the forward and inverse kinematics was performed. Through the analysis, an analytic solution was derived for the joint angles corresponding to the position and orientation of the tool in the Cartesian coordinates. The hardware system of the robot composed of the control system, input/output interface system, and related electronic system was developed. The communication system was also developed to interact the robot with the related surrounding systems. A graphic user interface(GUI) program including the forward/inverse kinematics, control algorithm, and communication program was developed using visual C++ language.

In a previous research, we presented the Grid Method and confirmed it as a systematic and efficient problem formulation method for the task-oriented design of robot kinematics. However, our previous research was limited in two ways. First, it gave only a local optimum due to its use of a local optimization technique. Second, it used constant weights for a cost function chosen by the manual weights tuning algorithm, thereby showing low efficiency in finding an optimal solution. To overcome these two limitations, therefore, this paper presents a global optimization technique and an adaptive weights tuning algorithm to solve a formulated problem using the Grid Method. The efficiencies of the proposed algorithms have been confirmed through the kinematic design examples of various robot manipulators.

The accuracy problem of robot manipulators has long been one of the principal concerns in robot design and control. A practical and economical way of enhancing the manipulator accuracy, without affecting its hardware, is kinematic calibration. In this paper an effective and practical method is presented for kinematic calibration of Stewart platforms. In our method differential errors in kinematical parameters are linearly related to differential errors in the platform pose, expressed through the forward kinematics. The algorithm is tested using simulated measurement in which measurement noise is included.

This study solves the inverse kinematics problem of industrial FANUC robot. Because every joint angle of FANUC robot is dependent on the position of end-effector and the direction of approach vector, arm metrix T6 is very complicated and each joint angle is a function of other joint angles. Therefore, the inverse kinematics problem can not be solved by conventional methods. Noticing the fact that if one joint angle is known, the other joint angles are calculated by the algebraic methods. $ heta$1 is calculated using neumerical analysis method, and solves inverse kinematics problem. This proposed method, in this study, is more simpler and faster than conventional methods and is very useful in the real-time control of the manipulator.

This paper presents the forward kinematics of the Casing Oscillator that is a construction machine. The Structure of the Casing Oscillator is similar to those of 4 degree-of-freedom mechanisms with a redundancy. With analytical (geometrical) methods, the solutions of the forward position kinematics problem are significantly found by both solving an 8$^{th}$ -order polynomial equation in one unknown variable and using one over-constraint geometrical equation which can be derived under the condition of a redundancy. The proposed forward kinematics has closed-form solutions and allows Auto-Balancing control of the moving platform in real time. Numerical examples are presented and the results are verified by an inverse kinematics analysis.
Control and trajectory generation of a 7 DOF anthropomorphic robot arm suffer from computational complexity and singularity problem because of numerical inverse kinematics. To deal with such problems, analytical methods for a redundant robot arm have been researched to enhance the performance of inverse kinematics. In this research, we propose an analytical inverse kinematics algorithm for a 7 DOF anthropomorphic robot arm. Using this algorithm, it is possible to generate a trajectory passing through the singular points and intuitively move the elbow without regard to the end-effector pose. Performance of the proposed algorithm was verified by various simulations. It is shown that the trajectory planning using this algorithm provides correct results near the singular points and can utilize redundancy intuitively.
In this paper, we present new methods for solving the inverse kinematics associated with 6 degree of freedoms manipulator by the numerical method. This method will be based on tracking stability of special nonlinear dynamical systems, and differs from the typical techniques based by the Newton-Gauss or Newton-Raphson method for solving nonlinear equations. This simulation results show that the new method is solving the inverse kinematics of PUMA 560 without the derivative of a given task space trajectories.

In this paper, a new kinematic structure of a parallel manipulator with six Cartesian degrees of freedom is proposed. It consists of a platform which is connected to a fixed base by means of 3-PPSP(parameters P, S denote the prismatic, spherical joints) subchains. Each subchain has a link which is concected to a passive prismatic joint at the one end and a passive spherical joint at the other. The spherical joint is then attached to perpendicularly arranged prismatic actuators which are fixed at the base. The spherical joint is then attached to perpendicularly arranged prismatic actuators which are fixed at the base. This arrangement provides a basis to control all six Cartesian degrees of motion of the platform in space. Due to its efficient architecture, the colsed-form solutions of the inverse and forward kinematics can be obtained. As a consequence, this new kinematic structure can be servo controlled using simple inverse kinematics becaese forward kinematics allows for measuring the platform's position and orientation in Cartesian space. Furthermore, the proposed structure provides an effective functional workspace. Series of simulations are performed to verify the results of the kinematics analyses.

This paper presents a control effectiveness analysis of the hawkmoth Manduca sexta. A multibody dynamic model of the insect that considers the time-varying inertia of two flapping wings is established, based on measurement data from the real hawkmoth. A six-degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) multibody flight dynamics simulation environment is used to analyze the effectiveness of the control variables defined in a wing kinematics function. The aerodynamics from complex wing flapping motions is estimated by a blade element approach, including translational and rotational force coefficients derived from relevant experimental studies. Control characteristics of flight dynamics with respect to the changes of three angular degrees of freedom (stroke positional, feathering, and deviation angle) of the wing kinematics are investigated. Results show that the symmetric (asymmetric) wing kinematics change of each wing only affects the longitudinal (lateral) flight forces and moments, which implies that the longitudinal and lateral flight controls are decoupled. However, there are coupling effects within each plane of motion. In the longitudinal plane, pitch and forward/backward motion controls are coupled; in the lateral plane, roll and side-translation motion controls are coupled.
