스마트폰 기반 모바일상거래의 실용적가치와 지속이용의도 (Utilitarian Value and its Effect on Continuance Intention in Smartphone-based Mobile Commerce)

  • Purpose In 2016, the market size of mobile(m-) shopping goes beyeond more than half of a total of online shopping. People use smartphones as the main device for m-commerce. Under the circmustances, this study attempts to address why people prefer to use smartphone-based m-commerce. In other words, it is necessary to understand the main value that smartphone-based m-commerce creates. Drawing on the studies of consumption value, this study focuses on utilitarian value in predicting customers' continuance intention in the context of smartphone-based m-commerce, recognizing that utilitarian value is a key extrinsic motivation in the goal-oriented, performance-oriented shopping contexts. Furthermore, this study identifies factors affecting customers' utilitarian value from the perspective of benefits and costs, following the notion that it represents the result of evaluating a trade-off of benefits and costs caused by smartphone-based m commerce. More specifically, in this study, ubiquitous service, location-based service (LBS), transaction speed, and price utility belong to the benefit dimension, whereas technology anxiety and cognitive effort belong to the cost dimension. Design/methodology/approach To test the proposed hypotheses, the study conducted partial least squares (PLS) analysis with a total of 294 data collected on users with experience in smartphone-based m-commerce. Findings The results show that first, utilitarian value is increased by the benefits, such as ubiquitous service, transaction speed, and price utility. However, LBS has no direct effect on utilitarian value. Second, the noteworthy finding is that ubiquitous service and LBS greatly increase transaction speed. Third, technology anxiety and cognitive effort considered as the cost dimension are negatively associated with utilitarian value but their impacts on it are non-significant. Finally, the results support the argument that utilitarian value is a determinant of continuance intention. Overall, the findings imply that utilitarian value greatly depends on the peception on benefits rather than the aspect of cost in smartphone-based m-commerce. Overall, the findings offer new insight into the studies of m-commerce by considering and verifying the impacts of its benefits and costs simultaneously.

  • Purpose Mobile phones increase the frequency and speed of communication. The most popular mobile application in Korea is KakaoTalk, one of the mobile instant messenger(MIM) services. Although studying mobile services such as SMS, SNS and SNG suggests drawing upon theories in marketing, consumer behavior, psychology to investigate their personal use, research on MIM is scarce. We designed this paper to fill this gap. More specifically, this study is focused on the relationships among consumers psychological variables related to purchase intention to emoticons in context of MIM. Design/methodology/approach Data was obtained from 310 KakaoTalk users in Korea via questionnaire. The data was analyzed by structural equation modeling in order to verify the relationship between variables in the model. Specifically, this study is designed to examine the structural relationships among perceived benefits, perceived risks, trust in messenger service, system quality, trust in platform, and emoticons purchase intention. Findings The findings of this study are as follow. First, perceived benefits and perceived risks had a significant impact on trust in MIM service(e.g. KakaoTalk). Specifically, while perceived benefits had a positive effect on trust in MIM service, perceived risks had a negative effect on trust in MIM service. Second, trust in messenger service also had a positive impact on system quality. Third, trust in messenger service and system quality had a positive effect on trust in platform(e.g. Kakao platform) directly. Lastly, trust in platform had a positive influence on emoticons purchase intention in KakaoTalk messenger.

  • Given the growing expectations on the value and application of mobile office, we need to understand the factors which affect its successful use and implementation. We in this paper present a parsimonious model which integrates the IS success model and the TAM. The main feature of the model is that it allows one to explore the role of mobility of mobile office systems in determining the level of system usage and dependence. Although mobility is the key property of any mobile system, there is little research effort exerted to understand how mobility affects the traditional IS factors such as perceived ease of use and usefulness. In addition to the system usage, this model also uses dependence as the dependent variable. This is expected to provide richer understanding of the study context. We collected survey data from 1,614 field service workers of a major domestic electronic company. They use PDAs to retrieve information regarding the specifics of the customer service requests and to report what has been done for each service job. The results from SEM analysis show that mobility improves the perceived ease of use which then leads the field service workers to depend more on the PDA systems. Interestingly enough, however, the workers’ satisfaction does not cause more frequent use of the system.

  • 본 서비스는 스마트폰 앱을 통해서 그리고 아시아 문화전당에서 외국인의 언어로 방송내용을 들을 수 있는 목적을 가진다. 본 논문은 비콘의 신호로 외국인을 인식하는 방법을 설명하고 IoT 게이트웨이는 AllJoyn 프로토콜 접속 기능을 사용하여 선택된 외국인 언어로 음성서비스를 제공한다. IoT 서비스 플랫폼은 외국인의 인식자 관련 등록 받아들여서, 모든 장치들로 메시지들을 보내고, 그것들은 모든 IoT 게이트웨이들이고, IoT 게이트웨이는 외국인의 스마트폰 앱에 연결되어서 방송내용들을 들을 수 있다. 만일 외국인이 비콘의 관리 거리를 벗어난다면, 음성 앱 서비스는 해제된다.

  • 최근 IT 분야의 화두 중 하나는 '모빌리티(mobility)'이다. 이동성 및 가동성 등의 뜻을 가진 모빌리티는 사용자의 정보를 획득하여 사용자에게 서비스 이동의 자유로움을 제공할 수 있다는 의미이다. 본 논문에서는 모빌리티 환경에서 다양한 미디어를 다양한 디바이스로 이동할 수 있는 프로세스 오케스트레이션(MPO: Mobility Process Orchestration) 모델을 제안하고자 한다. 오케스트레이션 모델은 사용자 환경에 있는 디바이스를 오브젝트화하여 사용자에게 원하는 미디어를 원하는 디바이스에 MSMP(Multi Source Multi Platform)형태로 제공할 수 있는 구조와 기능을 제공한다. 이뿐만 아니라, 커리어그래피(Choreography)의 개념을 이용하여 다양한 미디어 형식에 맞는 디바이스만을 추출 및 오케스트레이션 하여 사용자에게 조화로운 서비스(Harmonizing Service)를 지향한다.

  • Forming a network, through Social Network Services (SNS), among a group of people who share the same hobby or interests could increase the information sharing among the members at an exponential rate. Moreover, SNS users' behavior extends beyond the traditional introverted consumption behavior to a proactive behavior by owning or actively sharing product information. For firms, such proactive consumer behavior translates into marketing effects such as the word of mouth (WOM) effect. Therefore, SNSs are accepted not only as a communications channel between firms and consumers but also as marketing channel, suggesting the possibility of a new revenue source. In this context, we will explore into the factors of SNS contents which conserve firms' image and product information, and effects of the factors on consumer attitude and WOM.

  • 본 논문은 기존의 위치기반정보와 시간정보를 고려하여 좀더 효율적인 상황인식 서비스 모델을 제안한다. 현재의 위치와 시간을 모두 고려하여 수집된 정보는 위치정보만 고려하는 상황인식 서비스보다 효율성 있는 서비스를 제공할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 위치정보 및 시간정보를 기반으로 주변정보를 수집하는 상황인식 서비스모델과 그에 기반한 시나리오를 구성했다. 마지막으로 본 문서에서 제안하는 상황인식 서비스기반 시스템 및 새로운 상황인식 서비스시스템과의 상호운용성을 고려하여 위치기반정보를 표현하는 문서를 XML 로 정의하였다.

  • Social networking services have changed the way people communicate. Rapid growth of information generated by social networking services requires effective search methods to give useful results. Over the last decade, social search methods have rapidly evolved. Traditional techniques become unqualified because they ignore social relation data. Existing social recommendation approaches consider social network structure, but social context has not been fully considered. Especially, the friend recommendation is an important feature of SNSs. People tend to trust the opinions of friends they know rather than the opinions of strangers. In this paper, we propose a levelized data processing method for social search in ubiquitous environment. We study previous researches about social search methods in ubiquitous environment. Our method is a new paradigm of levelelized data processing method which can utilize information in social networks, using location and friendship weight. Several experiments are performed and the results verify that the proposed method's performance is better than other existing method.

  • 현재 인터넷의 수많은 정보들은 다수의 임의 사용자들을 대장으로 하고 있으므로 각 개안의 다양한 요구 사항을 고려할 수 없고, 이로 인하여 수많은 불필요한 정보를 검색해야 하는 단점을 안고 있다. 하지만 웹 서비스는 기존의 미디어와는 달리 사용자 별로 차별화된 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하는 대량 개별화가 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 개인화 전략을 지원하는 서비스를 구현하기 위하여 사례기반 추론 방식의 한가지 분류인 간접적인 추출기법을 사용하여 사용자의 접속 지역을 추론해내는 시스템을 제안한다.
