영역/경계 분할 정식화에 의한 삼차원 접촉 해석의 효율성 검토 (Computational Efficiency of 3-D Contact Analysis by Domain/Boundary Decomposition Formulation)

  • A domain/boundary decomposition technique is applied to carry out efficient finite element analyses of 3-D contact problems. Appropriate penalty functions are selected for connecting an interface and contact interfaces with neighboring subdomains that satisfy continuity constraints. As a consequence, all the effective stiffness matrices have positive definiteness, and computational efficiency can be improved to a considerable degree. If necessary, any complex-shaped 3-D domain can be divided into several simple-shaped subdomains without considering the conformity of meshes along the interface. With a set of numerical examples, the basic characteristics of computational efficiency are investigated carefully.

  • Head Disk Interface (HDI) in a Hard Disk Drive (HDD) has decreased to achieve high areal density. Thus, the contact between a slider and a disk becomes more important. The contact between the slider and the disk can cause severe wear and damage of both the slider and the disk. Especially, Touch Down (TD) that the contact occurs continuously and repeatedly is extremely dangerous. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the unstable bouncing vibration of the slider in head-disk interface. In this paper, we investigate the characteristic and causes of the Touch Down.

차륜/레일 기하학적 접촉 시뮬레이션 프로그램 개발 (Development of a Wheel/Rail Geometric Contact Simulation Program)

  • Wheel/Rail geometric constraint relationships, such as effective conicity and gravitational stiffness, strongly influence the lateral dynamics of railway vehicles. In general, these geometric contact characteristics are nonlinear functions of the wheelset lateral displacement. There is a need to develop a wheel/rail geometric contact simulation program for wheels and rails with arbitrary profiles for the prediction of the dynamic behavior of railway vehicles. An algorithm to simulate any combination of wheels and rails is employed and a GUI for easy analysis is constructed. The simulation program is applied to KTX which will run on both KTX and conventional rails, two rail standards having different rail profiles.   • In this paper, Characteristic of power conversion unit of a railway vehicles according to contact loss in feeding system that applied impedance of rigid conductor is analyzed. It applied impedance of rigid bar in modeling of electric railway system. Railway vehicles are performed of modeling based on the performance of the electric railway vehicle. Effects of the contact loss in the power conversion unit were analyzed via main transformer of railway vehicle, the input and output voltage characteristics of the converter through contact loss was generated after linking the vehicle with feeding system.

간접접촉 심전도 측정용 전극의 주파수 특성 (Frequency Response of the electrode for Indirect-contact ECG)

  • The indirect-contact ECG (IDC-ECG) was introduced by a prior study for daily non-intrusive measurements. To improve the signal quality and to extend the application area of IDC-ECG, close study of the frequency characteristics of the IDC-ECG is necessary. In this study, the frequency response of the active electrode for several sample clothes was measured under conditions of actual IDC-ECG measurement with human body. Higher gain in low frequency range than expected by prior study was observed. In addition to it, wide variation in gain according to the cloth type in the low frequency range was observed. Variation in gain caused by moisture variation in the clothes was also observed. This study shows that the parallel R-C connection is proper for electrode model and the resistive factor is influenced by moisture in the clothes. This study is the first that provides the frequency response of the electrode in the actual indirect-contact ECG measurement and it is expected that the results will be helpful to improve the indirect-contact ECG method.

Nonlinear Displacement Discontinuity Model for Generalized Rayleigh Wave in Contact Interface

  • Imperfectly jointed interface serves as mechanical waveguide for elastic waves and gives rise to two distinct kinds of guided wave propagating along the interface. Contact acoustic nonlinearity (CAN) is known to plays major role in the generation of these interface waves called generalized Rayleigh waves in non-welded interface. Closed crack is modeled as non-welded interface that has nonlinear discontinuity condition in displacement across its boundary. Mathematical analysis of boundary conditions and wave equation is conducted to investigate the dispersive characteristics of the interface waves. Existence of the generalized Rayleigh wave(interface wave) in nonlinear contact interface is verified in theory where the dispersion equation for the interface wave is formulated and analyzed. It reveals that the interface waves have two distinct modes and that the phase velocity of anti-symmetric wave mode is highly dependent on contact conditions represented by linear and nonlinear dimensionless specific stiffness.

  • This paper was described electrical characteristics of Metal/GaN contact for application of GaN thin films. The lowest contact resistivity was $1.7\times10^{-7}[\Omega-cm^2]$ at Ti/Al Structure. Mean while, GaN MESFETs have been fabricated with a 250 nm thick channel on a high resistivity GaN layer grown by GAIVBE system. For a gate-source diode reverse bias of 35 V, the gate leakage current was $120{\mu}A$. From the data, we estimate the transconductance for our GaN MESFET to be 25 mS/mm.

  • A high-speed train is the system that the electric power is supplied through the overhead contact line and drives motors. In this case that the de-wiring beteen the overhead contact line and the pantograph of a high-speed train, the occasion that smooth power supply is not accomplished occurs sometimes. If the de-wiring occurs, the arc discharge may damage the overhead contact line or the pantograph, and the falling-off in power quality may cause the damage and malfunctioning of motor block. This paper presents the methodology that the arc discharge by de-wring between overhead line and pantograph is discriminated through measuring the PT and CT in the vehicle, and measures the current collection characteristics for a high speed train.

  • Glass frit은 실리콘 태양전지의 Ag/Si contact을 위해 필수적이다. 태양전지의 고효율 특성 구현 때문에, Contact resistance(Rc)가 우수한 Pb-frit의 사용이 불가피한 상황이다. 본 연구는 기존의 Pb계를 무연화함과 동시에 동등수준의 효율을 목표로 하였다. Ag 분말 size 및 glass frit의 열적 거동 특성이 SiNx 코팅층 침투와 Ag re-crystallites에 미치는 영향에 대해 평가하였다. 6 inch 다결정 실리콘 웨이퍼를 사용하였으며, softening temperture(Sp)별로 4종의 Bi계 glass frit을 제조 하였고, 분말 size가 다른 3종의 Ag powder를 선정하였다. Glass frit Sp가 $460^{\circ}C$ 이상의 경우에는 효율이 10% 미만이였으나 Sp $460^{\circ}C$ 이하에서는 16% 수준의 효율을 확인할 수 있었다.
