환경상품 구매자와 비구매자의 특성 비교 분석 (Characteristics of Purchasers and Non-Purchasers of Environmental Products)

  • The major purpose of this study was to investigate purchasing behavior of environmental products by Korean consumers, which will ultimately help foster sustainable consumption. Environmental consciousness, environmental behaviors, level of awareness of environmental products, and purchasing of environmental products were examined. Mean differences between purchasers and non-purchasers of environmental products were compared in terms of environmental consciousness and behaviors, and the level of awareness of environmental products. A survey was conducted on 310 consumers in the greater Seoul metropolitan area. The data were analyzed by frequencies, percentages, logistic regression, and t-tests using a variable for interval scale and a variable for nominal scale. There were significant mean differences between purchasers and non-purchasers of environmental products on three variables of environmental consciousness and behaviors. Those who were educated on environmental issues showed a higher preference in purchasing environmental products. Among socio-demographic variables, the income level was the only variable that showed a significant mean difference between the two groups. Also, there was a remarkable difference in purchasing behavior between the two groups. For the purchasers of environmental products, the purchasing decisions took into account environment-friendliness of products. Non-purchasers of environmental products put more emphasis on price or quality of products. The results of the logistic regression analysis indicated that those who had higher education, who viewed environmental pollution as a serious problem, and who are more cognizant of the environmental labeling tend to purchase more environmental products.

또래압력, 부모감독과 음주기대 및 청소년 음주행동의 변화추이 -청주지역 고등학생을 중심으로- (Study on Peer Pressure, Parental Supervision, Alcohol Expectancy and Adolescents' Drinking Behaviors of 2001 & 2006 -Focusing on the High School Students of Cheong Ju-)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify relationships among peer pressure, parental supervision, alcohol expectancy and adolescent drinking behaviors between year 2001 and 2006. Three hundred high school students were given questionnaires each year on their drinking behavior. Findings of this study were; first, a adolescent drinking and the amount drinking has increased during the years. adolescent drinker ratio as adolescent drinkers were 91.3% in 2006 compared to 75.9% in 2001. The average drinking amounts were 40.82 units in 2006 and 24.9 units in 2001. Second, differences were found in adolescent drinking behaviors such as the amount of alcohol consumption, drinking frequency, & problem drinker ratio by gender, and grade. Male students over female students. Third, peer pressure, parental supervision, alcohol expectancy showed significant impacts on adolescent drinking behaviors through 2001 and 2006. Students who lack parental supervision with much higher drinking-related peer pressure along with a higher level of positive alcohol expectancy were observed to be heavy drinkers and problem drinkers. Especially, students who showed belief in alcohol's tension-relieving function and sociability function tended to over-drink, drink more frequently and as a result, experienced more drinking problems. Intervention strategies were discussed.

여대생의 소비성향이 화장품 구매동기에 미치는 영향 (Effect of consumption propensity on purchase motive of cosmetics of female college students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 여대생의 소비성향이 화장품 구매동기에 미치는 영향과 특성들을 분석함으로써 화장품 업체 및 연구 교육기관에게 마케팅 분야 발전 방안에 대한 기초자료를 제공하기 위해 실시되었다. 서울 및 수도권 지역의 6개월 이내에 화장품을 구매한 20대 여대생을 대상으로 실행한 설문조사로 총 506부의 설문을 최종 분석으로 사용하였다. 소비성향은 평소 메이크업 정도, 평균 화장품 구매 횟수, 화장품을 사용하는 주된 이유, 주로 화장품을 구매하는 장소에 따라 특징이 다양하게 나타났으며, 화장품 구매동기는 피부 최대 고민, 평소 메이크업 정도, 평균 화장품 구매 횟수, 화장품을 사용하는 주된 이유, 주로 화장품을 구매하는 장소에 따라 다양한 구매동기 특징을 볼 수 있었는데, 결과적으로 소비성향의 하위요인별 자원절약 성향, 계획구매 성향, 타인의식 성향, 충동구매 성향은 화장품 구매동기의 제품변환 동기, 경제적 동기, 타인지향동기, 탐미추구 동기 하위요인에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(p<.05). 따라서 본 연구결과는 소비자들의 소비방향과 구매행동에 대한 다양한 관점을 참조하여 고객심리를 이용한 제품 및 마케팅전략의 향후 나아가야 할 방안에 대한 기초자료로써 화장품 업체 및 연구기관의 발전에 기여하고자 한다.

유통환경에서의 고객 부정행동: 소비자 관점의 고찰 (Customer Misbehavior in Retail Settings: The Customer's Viewpoint)

  • Customer misbehavior is a behavior that disrupts generally accepted behavioral norms in consumption situations. This study examined customer misbehavior in retail settings by identifying behavioral patterns and exploring behavioral backgrounds and consequences from a customer viewpoint. Qualitative data were collected from individual in-depth interviews, and 149 interviews were analyzed. Customer misbehavior was categorized into unethical returns, problem behaviors in service encounters, shoplifting/fraud, ill-mannered behaviors, and selfish behaviors. Motivations included monetary gain, adventurism, perceived acceptability of misbehavior, planned unfair complaints, and retaliation. Customers showed a negative image to unkind employees and stores yielding to misbehaviors that were learned and socialized among customers. The study further discusses implications.

서울 지역 사무직 근로자의 음주에 대한 행태 및 관련요인에 관한 조사 연구 (Drinking Behavior and Related Factors among White Collar Workers in Seoul)

  • In this study, I investigate the drinking behavior and related factors among white collar workers in seoul. Examination was executed with questionnaire to 520 white collar workers. Drinking behavior involves frequency of drinking, amount of alcohol consumption in a drinking situation and alcohol-related problem. Related factors involves the general characteristics, the knowledge about alcohol, the allowable attitude about drinking, work stress and stress copying. This was analyzed with percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOV A and pearson's correlation. The results are as follows: Data shows that about 96.3% of the respondents drink at least during the last year and 89.8% of the respondents drink at least during the last month. 59.4% male respondents drink 3-8 times a month, 44.8% female respondents drink 1-2 times a month. High prevalence rates were found in male, married person and those with low-religious spirit in a usual amount of drinking(p〈0.05), male in the latest amount of drinking(p〈0.05), male, forties, married person and those with the highest monthly family income and those with low-religious spirit in frequency of drinking during the latest month(p〈0.05). The score of alcohol-related problem(ARP) was as follows: male workers-2.61, female workers-1.61 out of 35. The score of ARP was statistically significantly different according to sex(p〈0.05). A positive correlation was observed between amount of drinking, frequency of drinking and ARP(p〈0.01). The score of knowledge about alcohol was 3.6 and any correlation and statistically significant difference were not observed between the knowledge about alcohol and drinking behavior. The score of allowable attitude about drinking was statistically significantly different according to sex(p〈0.05), age(p〈0.05). A positive correlation was observed between attitude about drinking and amount of drinking, frequency of drinking, ARP(p〈0.01). The work stress and stress copying had no significant relations with drinking behavior. Most respondents do not drink at stress situation.

여대생의 스트레스와 대처방식이 건강관련 행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Stress and Stress Coping Method on Health Related Behavior in Female University Students)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of stresses to female university students and their habits of dealing with stresses through drinking alcohol and smoking. Methods : Subjects, 313 students, were selected through convenience sampling method from the 2 four-year universities in Chonbuk and Chonnam province from May to June, 2005. Data were collected through the structured questionnaires that include general characteristics, Quantity Frequency methods, the number of cigarette per day, campus stress scale, and stress coping style scale, and they were analyzed by Cronbach' alpha, descriptive statistics, ANOVA and t-test by using SPSS/PC+ program. Results: In this study, 80% of subjects have drunk alcohol. The mean frequency of drinking alcohol per month was 4.68 times and the mean number of alcohol consumption amount per drinking 6.16 glasses. The rate of smoking was 13.7%, and the mean number smoking cigarette per day in the previous month was 12.4. The mean score of stress was 2.20. Among 8 sub-factors of stress, study related stress scored highest among the sub-factors. The mean score of coping styles was 2.50. Among 4 coping styles, hopeful thought was mostly used. Among stresses, the concern of one's future affected her drinking habits. Faculty relationship, academic problem, and value affected smoking habits. Hopeful thought comes out to affect smoking, while drinking, perceived health status, and practice time showed no relationship with coping style. Conclusion: Based on the results, developing a life stress counseling program and effective coping program for women's university students is imperative, especially for those of who show passive attitude toward stress and solve it emotionally instead of using problem-oriented methods. Also, it will be necessary to study further nursing intervention to curb university females' drinking alcohol and smoking.

농업용수 물절약에 대한 농업인 의식 및 행동 조사 - 포항·영덕지역 수리시설감시원을 대상으로 - (Survey of Farmers' Perception and Behavior for Agricultural Water Saving - Applying to Irrigation Facility Monitors in Pohang and Yeongdeok Areas -)

  • While agricultural water has been declared free in Korea to ensure access to these limited resource since the year 2000, farmers have however developed lackadaisical behavior towards water saving leading to its scarcity. To overcome this problem, a variety of experience-oriented education model was developed for farmers to promote the adoption of water conservation, and preventive measure against the drought impacts. In this study, farmers' awareness and their attitudinal behavior of agricultural water savings were investigated. The monitoring of water supply structure and the repair facilities in Pohang and Yeongdeok areas were conducted. The field visits and behavioral surveys showed a high degree of over-use and illegal water withdrawals by the farmers due to poor water-saving and management practices. We found that most of the KRC employees strongly admitted the necessity of water-saving education. On the other hand, the farmers showed good interest in the implementation of water-saving awareness through education. Besides this, most farmers agreed to adopt water-saving practices in the fields. Farmers also acknowledged the recklessness of water use was due to the aging of waterways, poor water management, and illegal water consumption. The majority of the farmers responded against imposing the water-use tariffs. However, there was a low response to paying the water-use charge. Aging agricultural facilities and the lack of institutional penalties or incentives were the major obstacles in achieving efficient water-saving. Considering the current drought frequency, urgent water-saving education of farmers was deemed necessary to prepare the farming community against the water shortages. Based on the results of this study, we have to identify the irrigation practices of farmers and provide water-saving education to enforce more efficient use and management of agricultural water.

Health Behavior Regarding Liver Flukes among Rural People in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand

  • Opisthorchiasis is a health problem in Thailand particularly in northeast and north regions where have been reported the highest of cholangiocarcinoma. Active surveillance is required, therefore a cross-sectional surveyed was conducted in Nong Bunnak sub-district of Nakhon Ratchasima province, Thailand. A total of 367 participants were selected by multistage sampling from 5 villages located near natural water resources. Participants completed a predesigned questionnaire containing behavior questions regarding liver fluke disease, covering reliability and validity knowledge (Kuder-Richardon-20) = 0.80, attitude and practice (Cronbach's alpha coefficient) = 0.82 and 0.79, respectively. Descriptive statistics included frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations. The majority of the participants were female (58.3%), age group between 21-30 years old (42.5%), with primary school education (59.9%), occupation in agriculture (38.1%), and married (80.9%). They had past histories of raw fish consumption (88.3%), stool examination (1.4%), anti-parasite medication used (4.6%). Heads of villages, village health volunteers, television, and village newstations were the main sources for disease information. Participants had a moderate level of behavior regarding liver fluke disease. The mean scored of knowledge regarding liver fluke life cycle, transmission, severities, treatment, prevention and control was 10.9 (SD=0.5), most of them had a moderate level, 95.1%. The mean score for attitude regarding liver fluke prevention and control was 45.7 (SD=9.7), and for practice was 30.6 (SD=10.5). Participants had a moderate level of attitude and practice, 94.5% and 47.7, respectively. This study indicates that health education is required in this community including stool examination for liver fluke as further active surveillance screening.

안전한 대학생활을 위한 제주지역 대학생들의 음주행동연구 (Drinking behavior survey of university students in Jeju for the safe campus life)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the drinking behavior of university students in Jeju for the safe campus life. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 549 students in 4 universities in Jeju. The data were analyzed by t-test, one way ANOVA, and multiple regression using SPSS Win 19.0 program. The questionnaire instruments consisted of Alcohol Use Disorders of Identification Test-Korea (AUDIT-K) and Life Stress Scale for College Students adapted by Chon. Results: The alcohol consumption rate of participants accounted for 96.2%. The binge drinking rate in female students were 33.9% and that in male students was 29.5%. The result by scoring AUDIT showed that 30.7% of participants were normal drinking group, 36.0% were hazardous drinking group, and 33.3% were estimated alcohol abuse group. The average score of stress was 1.45 by Likert 4 point scale. The female students tended to have more stresses than male. The most important influencing factors on drinking behavior were the first alcohol drinking(${\beta}=-.250$, p< .001), gender(${\beta}=.202$, p< .001), and relationship problem(${\beta}=.116$, p < .05). Conclusion: The drinking rate of university students revealed higher than that in other age groups. So the early systematic education is strongly recommended to prevent the physical and mental side effects.

소비자의 그린 제품 구매에 있어 "그린" 의미의 재발견 (Revisiting of Greenness to Consumers in Green Purchases)

  • Purpose - This is longitudinal research which aims to investigate the meaning of greenness to consumers' behavior. Consumers adopt green marketing as a new factor in product buying and consumption and more and more consumers prefer green product and services. Consumers' green buying behavior can be different from other purchasing experiences. There would be changes in the meaning of green as time passed and it can be different from countries to other countries. This study examines focus group studies with several groups. There is a ten-year gap between 2010 focus group and 2019 focus group interviews. With this ten-year gap, we can find the change of greenness to consumers. Research design, data, and methodology - The data were collected from Turkish, Korean, Kazakhstan people. This is a cross-sectional study and focus group interview was designed. We can gain information relevant to the research problem with using focus group study and get some insights into basic needs and attitudes of green marketing. The subjects for green purchase interviewee were confined to under 40 years old's shoppers regardless of gender. The first study was investigated with several groups in 2010 and the second interview were conducted in 2019. Results - Results show that the meaning of greenness for consumer has changed over time in accordance with the growing accordance of environmental sustainability. Basically, green marketing still means valuable, natural, recycle-able, good for health, clean, smart behavior, essential benefit. The concept of greenness significantly evolved since it was investigated in 2010. It moves away from focusing on specific environmental issues to considering global sustainability issues. Especially we found that greenness can be related with globalization, higher education, social status at the 2019 interview. Conclusions - This paper attempted to confirm the green marketing is essential and expands its meaning to various aspect. Usually, we can think green marketing is everywhere, therefore, people don't care about green issues in real. But consumers are adopting green marketing more and more, it can be a means to attract potential consumers. Therefore, companies should provide enough greenness information for people and they might apply greenness communication to attract potential customers.
