Baseline 조사 결과를 이용한 페루 도시 빈곤지역 주민의 건강행태와 비만이 혈압에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Health Behavior and Obesity Indices on Blood Pressure in Peru Low-income Urban Areas)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is analysing the influence of how health behavior such as smoking, drinking, and consuming salt and obesity affects to blood pressure and providing useful data for preventing ischemic heart disease of Peru which is main cause of death since 2012 and promoting healthy lifestyle of community. Methods: At the selected four districts in Lima and Callao region of Peru by KOICA Peru office, survey was conducted among adults over the age of 18. Excepted 19 incomplete people for the missing, 686 people were analysed in this survey. Results: There was no significant relationship between blood pressure and drinking and salt intake. By regression analysis, systolic blood pressure was significantly related with gender, age and abdominal obesity and diastolic blood pressure was significantly related with gender and abdominal obesity. Conclusions: As a result, diastolic and systolic blood pressure are mainly affected by waist circumference and gender. Therefore, It's need to be classifying male into vulnerable groups in the occurrence of hypertension and providing health education and information about hypertension to them. For improving health status of vulnerable group, awareness of hypertension prevention and changing unhealthy lifestyle to healthy lifestyle activities are necessary. In the end, it is necessary to prevent abdominal obesity through periodic health education.

  • Almost all the people, particularly the rural people are directly dependent on the continued productivity of natural resources, like water, soils, forests and fisheries. But the overuse by the extremely high population pressures has degraded the natural resources into severe widespread deforestation. The degradation of natural resources, particularly the plant resources has been a great concern for socio-economic and sustainable development of the country. The Forests in Bangladesh have been depleted and degraded in volume, area, and quantity, thus requiring urgent forest protection by identifying the causes of forest loss. There are so many causes of deforestation and loss of genetic resources such as; the timber industry, which, legal or not, are cutting too many trees; indigenous forest dwellers, having their own types of problems; migrants, who, because of problems in their places of origin, have decided to move to the forests and the government through its Forest Department which is not able or willing to implement suitable policies to regulate the cutting trees and to prevent illegal cutting. Because it is a time consuming task to mitigate the first and second sets of factors, we recommend involving forest dwellers in forestry practices as much as possible and taking necessary steps to alleviate the third and fourth sets and thereby reduce the rate of forest depletion. Accordingly, a number of strategies that should be adopted to halt the loss of remaining forest cover are discussed.

캐리-세이브 가산기를 이용한 연산 최적화 알고리즘 (Algorithm for Arthmetic Optimization using Carry-Save Adders)

  • 캐리-세이브 가산기 (CSA)는 회로 설계 과정에서 빠른 연산 수행을 위해 가장 널리 이용되는 연산기 중의 하나이다. 그러나, 현재까지 산업체에서 CSA를 이용한 설계는 설계자의 경험에 따른 수작업에 의존하고 있고 그 결과 최적의 회로를 만들기 위해 매우 많은 시간과 노력이 소비되고 있다. 이에 따라 최근 CSA를 기초로 하는 회로 합성 자동화 기법에 대한 연구의 필요성이 대두되고 있는 상황에서, 본 논문은 연산 속도를 최적화하는 효율적인 CSA 할당 알고리즘을 제안한다. 우리는 CSA 할당 문제를 2단계로 접근한다: (1) 연산식의 멀티 비트 입력들만을 고려하여 최소 수행 속도 (optimal-delay)의 CSA 트리를 할당한다; (2) (1)에서 구한 CSA 트리의 수행 속도 증가가 최소화 (minimal increase of delay) 되는 방향으로 CSA들의 캐리 입력 포트들에 나머지 싱글 비트 입력들을 배정한다. 실제 실험에서 우리의 제안된 알고리즘을 적용하여 연산식들의 회로 속도를 회로 면적의 증가 없이 상당한 수준까지 줄일 수 있었다.Abstract Carry-save-adder (CSA) is one of the most widely used implementations for fast arithmetics in industry. However, optimizing arithmetic circuits using CSAs is mostly carried out by the designer manually based on his/her design experience, which is a very time-consuming and error-prone task. To overcome this limitation, in this paper we propose an effective synthesis algorithm for solving the problem of finding an allocation of CSAs with a minimal timing for an arithmetic expression. Specifically, we propose a two step approach: (1) allocating a delay-optimal CSA tree for the multi-bit inputs of the arithmetic expression and (2) determining the assignment of the single-bit inputs to carry inputs of the CSAs which leads to a minimal increase of delay of the CSA tree obtained in step (1). For a number of arithmetic expressions, we found that our approach is very effective, reducing the timing of the circuits significantly without increasing the circuit area.

A new endemic focus of Heterophyes nocens and other heterophyid infections in a coastal area of Gangjin-gun, Jeollanam-do

  • To know the prevalence of heterophyid trematodes among inhabitants of a southern coastal village, i.e., Sacho-ri, Gangjin-gun, Jeollanam-do(Province), 82 stool samples were examined on helminth eggs and protozoan cysts using Kato-Katz and formalin-ether sedimentation techniques. Total 33 people(40.2%) were positive for trematodes(Heterophyes nocens; 15 people, Pygidiopsis summa; 3, Metagonimus sp.; 4, Clonorchis sinensis; 7, Gymnophalloides seoi; 6) and/or protozoa(Entamoeba coli; 3). Among intestinal trematode egg positive cases, 17 were treated with praziquantel and their whole diarrheic stools were collected after purgation. Adult flukes of H. nocens(number of specimens=1,294), P. summa(386), Stellantchasmus falcatus(5), Stictodora lari(4), and Heterophyopsis continua(1) were collected using a stereomicroscope. To know the source of human H. nocens infections in this village, metacercarial infections in mullets(10) were examined and most H. nocens metacercariae(101/105, 96.2%) were found in the trunk portion. From above results, the surveyed coastal village has been newly known as an endemic focus of human H. nocens infection and consuming raw mullets was the presumable source of human heterophyid infections.

한국의 밭작물 생산에서의 물발자국 산정 (Estimation of Water Footprint for Upland Crop Production in Korea)

  • Water footprint is defined as the total volume of direct and indirect water used to produce a good and service by consumer or producer, and measured at the point of production based on virtual water concept. The green and blue water footprint refers to the volume of the rainwater and the irrigation water consumed, respectively. Crop water footprint is expected to be used as the basic data for agricultural water resources policies at production, consumption and trade aspect. Thus, it is necessary to estimate suitable green and blue water footprint for South Korea. The objective of this paper is to quantify the green and blue water footprint and usage of upland crops during the period 2001-2010. To estimate the water footprint, 43 upland crop production quantity and harvested area data were collected for 10 years and FAO Penman-Monteith equation was adopted for calculating crop water requirement. As the results, the water footprint of cereals, vegetables, fruits and oil crops accounted for 1,994, 165, 605, and 4,226 $m^3/ton$, respectively. The usage of water footprint for crop production has been estimated at 3,499 (green water) and 216 (blue water) $Mm^3/yr$ on average showing a tendency to decrease. Fruits and vegetables have the largest share in the green water usage, consuming about 1,200 and 1,060 $Mm^3/yr$ which are about 65 % of gross usage. The results of this study are expected to be understood by the agricultural water footprint as well as by the total water footprint from both a production and consumption perspective in Korea.

지역특산물로서의 포장디자인에 관한 연구 -건어물을 중심으로- (A Study on the Package Design as Special Products of a Region- Focused on Dried Seafoods-)

  • 오늘날 우리들의 식생활에서 어육 등 해산물을 이용하는 식생활은 우리 생활에서 아주 중요한 부분을 차지하고 있다. 그러므로 이러한 수산물을 가공하고 장기보존 하는 방법이 아주 중요한 과제로 떠오르고 있으며 불과 수년 전만 하여도 그 소비가 다양화되지 못하였지만, 경제적, 사회적 변화와 식생활의 개선으로 필수 기호식품의 하나로 자리잡아 가고 있는 실정이다. 뿐만 아니라, 최근 인구의 도시집중과 생활수준의 향상 등으로 사람들의 소비관습의 변화, 즉 인스탄트 식품이나 즉석에서 먹을 수 있는 완전 가공식품 등의 극도로 편리한 식품을 선호하는 경향이 두드러지고 있다. 이와 같은 사회적, 환경 적, 변화에 따라 건어물 제품은 편리한 식품으로서 앞으로 수요가 계속 늘어날 것으로 전망되며, 따라서 포장재료나 포장방법에 있어서도 여러 가지 방법으로 연구, 발전시켜 나가야 할 것이다. 따라서 부산 지방의 특산물이라고 할 수 있는 건어물의 유통 실태 및 포장디자인의 현황을 알아보고 건어물 포장방법의 연구와 부산의 시각적 이미지를 제품포장에 도입함으로써 상품의 부가가치를 높이고 소비인구의 저변확대를 꾀함과 동시에 건어물을 부산지방 특산물화 시켜 관광 상품으로서의 발전 방향을 모색함과 동시에 지역경제 발전에 기여하고자 한다.

스테인리스강 프로펠러축계의 육성 용접에 대한 연구 (A Study of Built-Up Repair Welding for Stainless Steel Propulsion Shafting)

  • 현재 중소형선박의 동력전달용 스테인리스 추진축계가 많이 사용되고 있으나 선미를 통과하는 선미관 패킹부, 베어링이 작용하는 접촉부 등에서 마모, 축의 재질불량이나 설계 불량으로 인하여 축이 절손되는 경우가 많다. 프로펠러축이 과다마모 또는 절손으로 파단시 새로운 축으로 전환하고 있으나 축을 새것으로 구입하려면 주문, 제작 등에 따라 상당한 비용이 소요된다. 또한 축을 육성 용접하는 경우는 해양수산관청의 승인을 득하도록 되어 있으나 지금까지 승인이 된 경우가 없었다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 직접 스테인리스 재료를 육성 용접하면서 모재와 비교하여 용접에 따른 금속조직의 변화, 결함의 계측 등을 규명하여 해양수산관청의 승인에 필요한 용접 절차, 검사에 필요한 사항 등을 검토하였다.

플립드 러닝을 적용한 '임신, 분만 및 산욕간호' 수업경험: 혼합연구 (Class Experience of the Students on 『Pregnancy, Delivery and Puerperium』 Nursing Course through Flipped Learning: Mixed Method Research)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the applicability of a flipped learning course in Women's Health Nursing for nursing students. Methods: A total of 200 senior nursing students participated in flipped learning class of pregnancy, delivery and postpartum area, which included team-based learning and self-reflection for 8 weeks. One group pre-post test design was adopted and the changes in learning motivation and satisfaction were examined. In addition, reflective journals of the students were analyzed by making a qualitative content analysis. Results: Students showed a significant increase in score of learning motivation in the posttest (t=-4.47, p<.001). They had a mean of 3.90 in learning satisfaction out of possible five points. As a result of content analysis, three themes were selected: 'Improved attitude toward active learning', 'Burden caused by excessive workload', and 'Valuing to the team-based activity' To be specific, six sub-themes were selected, with three positive and three negative categories: 'improved class attention and understanding', 'positive class participation by preparing lessons in advance', 'peer interactions through discussion', 'A lot of time and effort consuming', 'stress caused by the burden of preparing lessons', and 'difficulties in cooperative activities'. Conclusion: This study supports and confirms that the flipped learning can be a creative instructional model of positive teaching-learning strategy in clinical nursing courses to enhance students' learning motivation.

일상식이를 섭취하는 일부 한국 농촌여성의 Mg영양 상태에 관한 연구 (A Study on Mg Status in Adult Korean Rural Women on Self-Selected Diet)

  • This study was carried out to investigate Mg status and the relationship between dietary Mg the blood pressure in 30 healthy women, 26 to 57 year of age, living in rural area of Korea. Dietary intake of the subjects on self-selected diet were recorded. Duplicated food sample and 24-hour urine samples were collected for 3 days. Mean daily dietary Mg intake levels were determined by chemical analysis of duplicated food samples and mean daily urinary Mg excretion was measured from urine samples. Fasting serum Mg levels of each subjects was measured on the 3rd day of the survey. The results were as following: 1) The mean daily intakes of energy, protein were 1770.36㎉ and 55.55g, respectively. Carbohydrare, fat and protein supplied 77.1%, 10.4% and 12.5% of total energy intake. 2) The dietary Mg showed positive correlations with carbohydrate(P<0.05), vitamin A and vitamin B2(P<0.01), energy, Ca, P, fiber, vitamin B1 and niacin(P<0.001), but negative correlation with SBP(P<0.05). 3) The daily mean intake of Mg was 259.07$\pm$74.54mg and the urinary excretion of Mg was 75.48$\pm$33.14mg which was 29.5% of the dietary intake of Mg. And there was no significance between the dietary intake and the urinary excretion of Mg. 4) The dietary fiber showed negative correlations with SBP and DBP(P<0.05). 5) The serum and urinary concentrations of Mg were normal range and the serum Mg showed negative correlation with dietary vitamin C(P<0.05, r=-0.3655). It was concluded that the dietary Mg level of Korean rural women consuming self-selected diets was lower than that of RDA of American women but higher than that of RDA of Canadian. And the dietary intake levels of Mg and fiber, which are contained mostly in cereals and vegetables are useful to prevent hypertention.

  • IT 와 농업 및 축산업의 융합은 생산, 유통, 소비 분야에서의 효율과 질적 향상을 기대하게 되었고 특히 IT 영역의 정보 분석 기술과 자동제어 기술은 농산물 생산에 많은 장점을 제공하게 되었다. 네트워크 기반에서의 농축산업 분야 ICT 확대는 기술적, 환경적인 측면에서의 어려움들을 해결하게 되었으며 ICT 융합을 주도하는 국내 및 국제 표준기구에서는 최근 스마트 농축산업 영역에서의 필수 기술 항목을 표준화하여 다양한 문제를 해결하려고 시도하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 IT와 접목한 스마트 농축산업 환경에서의 ICT 표준화 중점 항목을 분석하고 로드맵을 제시한다.
