  • A variable dress design can be an alternative to satisfy a consumer need for diverse expression and self-realization at a lower cost factor. In the area of wedding dress, the change in the trend of wedding culture (which tends to demand more units of wedding dress) makes the cost factor more important in the purchase selection. A variable design has a clear advantage for wedding dresses and the wedding industry. This is the first research on a variable design that focuses on wedding dresses. This research develops a variable wedding design which respects consumer preferences independent of a variable wedding dress design that presents a new shape of silhouette or the development ofa new wedding dress materials. A survey on the supply side was conducted to examine market preferences by first browsing the Naver portal site and then checking the websites of major wedding dress suppliers. A questionnaire survey was conducted with a sample of 348 brides-to-be that inquired on wedding dress selection factors and purchase patterns. The survey shows that consumers prefer mermaid and A-line silhouettes, silk material, white-ivory color, and tube top necklines. The result conforms to the types commonly found in the designs of suppliers. We apply a detachable design to a basic mermaid silhouette and implemented change for 7 kinds of styles -based on the result of the survey. We suggest a variable wedding dress design as a new means to solve the cost concern and the customer need for diverse expression. The research represents a new life style for wedding culture and facilitates the development of the wedding industry.

  • The study of behavioral intention in the fashion industry, until recently, focused on the variables of satisfaction and the intention of purchase, and were limited to specific individuals who were fashion consumers. It was found that variables of intention of recommendation have a greater impact on many other potential customers from a study on consumer behavioral intention. Thus, this study seeks to examine the relationship between the selection factors of collaboration fashion products and preference, and the relationship between preference and the intention of purchase. Moreover, the purpose of this research is to find the influence of relationships between selective factors of collaboration fashion products and the intention of recommendation. The 'intention of recommendation' was set as a dependent variable, that influences the relationship between preference and intention of recommendation. For empirical analysis, SPSS 25.0 software was used to conduct frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis based on a survey results conducted upon 217 people in their 20s. The empirical analysis results are as follows: First, collaboration fashion product selection factors consisted of 'product originality', 'designers and artists' reputation', 'product reliability', and 'products' aesthetic impression'. Second, the selection factors of fashion products had a positive influence on product preferences. Third, the preference for collaboration fashion products had an influence on intention of purchase and intention of recommendation. Fourth, collaboration fashion product selection factors affected intention of purchase. Fifth, selection factors of collaboration fashion products were found to have a significant impact on the intention recommendation.

  • With the advent of the autonomous driving era, automobiles are being discussed as an extension of the media. The growth of the in-vehicle infotainment(IVI) system can provide various benefits and values to the driver and passengers. Although the development and research of related technologies is being carried out, there has been no research that specifically identified users' valuation on the main attributes of IVI systems. This study uses conjoint analysis to investigate key attributes and users' preferences. The results indicate that the most important attribute for IVI system is provider, followed by system operation type, main service and content type. For each attribute, consumers prefer a detachable infotainment system provided by a telecommunication company, and prefer to use information-oriented services and content that they have previously consumed. This paper provides practical implications, especially in terms of convergence, that operators can refer to in IVI development.

  • Wearing a mask is essential during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. For this study, an online survey was conducted on the actual use of masks among adults in their twenties and older. We used 389 questionnaires for the final analysis, excluding insincere or incomplete questionnaires. We then analyzed the responses using descriptive statistical analysis, frequency analysis, t-test, and ANOVA. More than half of the respondents indicated that they wore a mask for five to ten hours a day, with KF masks being the most frequently used. Participants who most frequently used cloth masks were more likely to consider color, design, and eco-friendliness, while those who used KF masks were more concerned with price and safety. There was no significant difference in purchase satisfaction between mask types, but the purchase intention was higher for KF masks. When purchasing a KF mask, there were significant differences across genders in terms of price and eco-friendliness preferences. There were also significant differences across age groups in price, eco-friendliness, skin irritation, and comfort preferences. Previous studies have shown a significant difference in gender and age in terms of preferred mask colors and designs. However, this survey found no significant difference across these categories. These findings indicate those mask manufacturers should consider safety and eco-friendliness over mask color and design.

  • This study aims to develop yoga wear for active senior women aged 50-60 who engage in social activities based on time and economic availability. With the rapid growth of the elderly population, active seniors have become prominent consumers, showing a keen interest in cultural and sports activities, particularly yoga, which suits their physical structure and characteristics. Despite the increased interest in home training and healthcare post-pandemic, research on active senior's athleisure wear remains insufficient compared to younger demographics. This study conducted a literature review to understand the characteristics of active seniors and their needs for yoga wear, followed by a survey of 24 women aged 50 and above who practice yoga. The survey was conducted to assess yoga participation, current yoga wear usage, and design preferences. Results indicated that most respondents practiced yoga for less than a year, primarily for health and stress relief. While 65.2% were aware of specialized yoga brands, only 50% wore them, citing high prices and size mismatches as barriers. Functionality was the most critical factor affecting yoga wear purchase decisions, followed by design, material, and color/pattern preferences. Preferred top designs included V-neck, crew neck, and cowl neck with three-quarter sleeves, while leggings with a full-band waist were favored for bottoms. The study highlights the need for affordable, functional, and size-diverse yoga wear for active senior women, suggesting that modern, sophisticated designs are more appealing to this demographic. These findings provide essential guidelines for developing yoga wear that meets the specific needs of active senior women. As a result, this research has suggested three different yoga wear designs for active seinor women, using 3D Clo.

  • Although the wine industry continues to grow, little empirical research on consumer preferences has been conducted. Thus, our objective was to analyze consumer views on wine attributes. A choice experiment (CE) was designed to detect a marginal willingness to pay for particular characteristics of wine (balance, flavor, color, clarity, and value-for-money). A questionnaire was administered and 286 responses were received. A multinomial logit model was estimated using the maximum likelihood method. The results indicated that balance, flavor, color, clarity, and price were all important to consumers. The CE data revealed that estimates of marginal willingness to pay were 31,899 won/bottle for balance, 23,088 won/bottle for flavor, 3,230 won/bottle for color, and 25,936 won/bottle for clarity. The balance of a wine was most important, and the flavor, clarity, and color were also significant. The results of this work will be of assistance in promoting the domestic wine industry.
