This study explores diverse consumer characteristics pursuant to whether the consumers in question have purchased luxury goods, and it also explores the variables that tend to influence such purchases. Furthermore, the relationship between consumers' purchases of, propensity for and preference toward luxury goods is researched, and an analysis is also conducted on the degrees of influence that consumer purchases of luxury goods have on consumer propensity and preference for luxury goods. The results show that the experience of such purchases determines the diverse characteristics of consumers in such areas as age, expenditures and overseas travel. In addition, the propensity of consumers to buy luxury goods is related to the tendency toward trends, self-planning, rationality and economic efficiency, while the preference of consumers is linked to the tendency toward trends, self-realization and rationality. This study aims to analyze and understand the consumer group of college women in their 20s, and it also seeks to help establish policies that will provide consumer education so badly needed by such women who are or who will be the main players of their respective household economies and rates of consumption.

This paper's purpose is to analyze the effect of Chinese consumer propensity to Korean cosmetics purchase through empirical analysis. The result, first, the sub-factors of Chinese consumers' consumption propensity, fashion-seeking propensity, brand-seeking propensity, price-seeking propensity, and quality-seeking propensity, were all deduced to have a positive effect on Chinese consumers' trust in Korean cosmetics. It was found that price pursuit orientation did not significantly affect purchase intention, while other factors had a significant positive effect. Second, Chinese consumers' trust in Korean cosmetics has a significant effect on purchase intention. Third, trust had a complete mediating effect between fashion-seeking orientation and purchase intention, and a partial mediating effect between brand-pursuing orientation, quality-seeking orientation, and purchase intention, whereas a mediating effect was not found between price-seeking orientation and purchase intention. Fourth, Korea's national image has no moderating effect on the relationship between trust and purchase intention.
The purpose of this study was to divide respondents by consumption values, and to examine the differences in their cosmetic purchase behavior. Cosmetic purchase behavior consisted of variables such as purchase frequency, purchase amount, place of purchase, purchase reason, reason for using cosmetics, purchase propensity, degree of using information source, and selection criteria. A survey was conducted with 308 women between the ages 20 and 29 from December 5th to 10th 2016. Data collected from the respondents through an Internet survey were analyzed using descriptive statistics, factor analyses, cluster analysis, analyses of variance and chi-square tests. Four consumption value dimensions emerged that were termed emotional, differentiated individuality-pursuing, functional and social value. The respondents were classified into three groups(emotional consumer group, functional consumer group, active consumer group) by cluster analysis using four dimensions of consumption value. The results of the analyses of variance and chi-square tests showed significant differences in purchase frequency, place of purchase, purchase reason, reason for using cosmetics, degree of using information source and selection criteria among groups classified by consumption value. However, there were no differences in purchase amount and purchase propensity among them.

Many fashion brands provide sophisticated customization services with advanced technology. Previous studies have revealed that a high level of customization aided by technology positively influences purchase intention. However, since fashion products are society-approved symbols, brand prestige and consumer propensity are expected to affect purchase behavior of customized products. This study aims to identify the purchase decision mechanism of customized products by identifying the relationships among self-expression, brand prestige, narcissistic disposition, and purchase intention. An online survey was conducted on 220 Korean women in their 20s and 30s with customization experience. The results of the data analysis showed that the affluent customization area and narcissistic disposition positively affected purchase intention. Surprisingly, when brand prestige was high and narcissistic disposition was low, the more affluent the customization area, the higher the purchase intention. However, for higher narcissistic disposition, no significant relationship was found between the customization area and purchase intention. This study provides insights into discriminatory customization strategies based on consumer propensity and the brand prestige level when providing customization services in fashion brands.
