패션 디자인 주체에 따른 패션디자이너 역량 및 제품 품질 지각 -Human vs. Human+AI vs. AI- (Perception of Fashion Designer's Capability and Product Quality -Human vs. Human+AI vs. AI-)

  • Collaboration between AI and fashion designers is becoming essential. Thus, this study explored (1) 321 consumer responses to fashion designers, comparing their capabilities and product quality across different designer types, (2) the relationship between designer capabilities and perceived product quality, and (3) the moderating role of AI knowledge in the effect of capabilities on perceived product quality. Data were analyzed using EFA, ANOVA, regression, and moderation analysis. The results indicated that subjects perceived human designers as having higher capabilities and perceived product quality than AI designers. All subjects' perceived creativity and empathy significantly impacted the perceived functionality, aesthetics, and symbolism-sociality of clothing. Additionally, the perceived creativity of AI and human+AI designers, and the perceived empathy of human and human+AI designers, significantly influenced the perceived functionality and symbolism-sociality, but the perceived creativity of human designers and empathy of AI designers did not directly impact perceived functionality and symbolism-sociality. Moreover, perceptions of the designers' capabilities significantly aesthetics in all subjects. Furthermore, low levels of perceived consumer AI knowledge enhanced the positive impact of perceived human+AI designers' creativity and empathy on perceived functionality and aesthetics. The study suggests that fashion companies should refrain from revealing AI designers at this time.

Brand Revitalization by Strategic Repositioning: A Case Study of Korando Sports

  • A growing gap between market needs and the capabilities of the enterprise prompts repositioning (Corstjens and Dolye 1989). This article examines the strategic repositioning of 'Korando Sports' undertaken by SYMC throughout the period from Jan. 2012 to Jun. 2012, to boost sales volume and market share by entering market of active-lifestyle consumers currently occupied by SUVs. SYMC's experience indicates that it is essential to close the gap between the market needs and the ability of the enterprise to make a shift to new consumer segment with a new positioning. The successful repositioning framework(Ryan et al. 2007) were employed in this paper. This framework is comprised of six elements: core strategic values, strategic flexibility/learning capabilities, customer awareness and sensitivity, external orientation, management commitment, and belief in the product and brand. The evaluation based on the successful framework also confirms that 'Korando Sports' case meets all the requirements of the successful strategic repositioning. This paper provides some of the managerial implications with aim of assisting executives in identifying strategic repositioning opportunities. Primarily, the 'Korando Sports' case affirms the repositioning as a viable strategy and indicates that repositioning is a feasible means for strategic change. Second, this case shows the influence of a target consumer and SYMC's repositioning to follow consumer preference for a particular attribute. Moreover, we can understand how a product formerly considered weak in attributes can enjoy benefits in other segments with the same attributes.

Resilience Perceived by Korean International Student/Scholar Families in the United States: Family Demands, Capabilities, and Adaptation

  • Although Korean international students/scholars are among the largest groups of international students/scholars on most campuses in the United States, little is known about what types of demands their families face and how they adapt successfully in the face of demands. The purpose of this study was to explore family resilience, which consists of family demands, capabilities, and adaptation, perceived by Korean international student/scholar families, being theoretically guided by the Family Adjustment and Adaptation Response (FAAR) model. Data were collected through face-to-face interviews with couple informants. Following procedures of theory-based content analysis, data were analyzed using key FAAR concepts. Findings showed that most informants reported normative types of family demands such as hardships due to childcare; primary family capabilities were "maintaining social integration," "affective and instrumental communication," and "family cohesiveness," and "nurturance, education, and socialization" was the primary family adaptation mode. New categories under family capabilities, "religious commitment" and "transnational family support" were developed. The results suggest that there is a unique set of family capabilities that contribute to the successful adaptation of Korean international student/scholar families. Implications and limitations are discussed.

A study on direct-to-consumer and intermediated marketing for the 6th industrialization in the U. S. agricultural sector

  • The Korean government introduced the $6^{th}$ industrialization in the agricultural sector to increase farmers' income and value-added agricultural products. The U.S. government has also supported farmers' efforts to increase their income and value-added products in a similar way even though the $6^{th}$ industrialization is not the usual concept in the U.S. Especially, direct-to-consumer and intermediated marketing is one of the main methods to increase farmers' income and value-added agricultural products in the U.S. The purpose of this paper was to analyze direct-to-consumer and intermediated marketing in the U.S., through a survey and frequency analysis. The results of this study are as follows: First, U.S. farmers have shifted their concern and efforts from direct-to-consumer marketing to intermediated marketing because intermediated marketing may offer higher value-added agricultural products. However, consumers' perception and interest are higher for direct-to-consumer marketing than for intermediated marketing of agricultural products and related services. Consumers also will increase the portion of consumption of agricultural products and related services through direct-to-consumer marketing. This difference between farmers and consumers may cause difficulties in increasing farmers' income and value-added agricultural products in the U.S. Korean farmers may have same problem in the future, even though they have not encountered it yet. Especially, the Korean government needs to develop the capabilities of farmers so that they can solve this problem.

기술수용모델을 적용한 차(茶), 커피, 와인, 맥주 음료의 스마트폰 앱 기능의 비교분석 (Comparative Analysis of Tea, Coffee, Wine and Beer Smartphone App Capabilities Using Technology Acceptance Model)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 차, 커피, 와인, 맥주의 스마트폰 앱들의 종류와 기능을 비교하고 기술수용모델을 적용하여 차연관 앱의 실제 사용도를 높일 수 있는 기능을 제시하고자 하였다. 애플앱스토어에서 검색된 200개의 차, 커피, 와인, 맥주 앱들의 기능을 살펴본 결과 차, 커피, 와인, 맥주 앱들의 기능은 17개 종류로 파악되었다. 차와 커피 앱들의 기능은 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났는데 차와 와인, 차와 맥주 앱들의 기능은 유의한 차이가 있었다(p<0.01). 차연관 앱들은 오락성 위주의 앱들이 높은 비율을 차지하고 있으며 와인 앱들은 와인에 관한 정보 찾기, 와인의 특성을 기록하는 노트, 주변 상점/카페 찾기 등 유용성 위주의 앱들의 비율이 차, 커피, 맥주에 비하여 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 차와 연관된 앱들의 실제 사용도를 높이기 위하여 커피, 와인, 맥주 앱들의 기능을 사례로 제시하였다. 국내 차연관 앱의 개발을 위하여 제시된 기능을 차연관 앱의 메뉴로 구성하여 제시하였다.

  • 끝없이 쏟아지는 이비즈니스 성공담에도 불구하고, 수많은 최고 경영진들은 인터넷 기반의 이비즈니스 시스템 구축에 대한 투자효과를 체감하지 못하고 있다고 주장한다. 대부분의 사업들이 조직의 정보활용역량이나 체감적인 사업성과의 향상을 간과하고, 즉흥적인 재정적 성과에만 치중하는 경향이 있기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 실증분석을 통해 인터넷을 기반으로 하는 이비즈니스 시스템의 활용이 조직의 정보활용역량, 사업성과, 그리고 재정적 성과에 미치는 영향을 조사하여, 사업목표를 달성하는데 있어서 이비즈니스 시스템의 역할과 가치를 부각시키고자 한다. 본 연구는 인터넷 기반의 이비즈니스 행위가 조직의 정보활용역량을 향상시키고, 정보활용역량이 높아지면 사업성과도 향상됨을 보여준다. 또한, 본 연구는 인터넷을 기반으로 한 이비즈니스 시스템의 활용으로 인한 사업성과 향상은 고객가치 창출로 이어지고, 이는 결국 수익창출을 위한 필요 요소임을 암시한다.

Fresh Agricultural Products Online Retailer's Emergency Logistics Capability Framework During the Pandemic

  • Purpose: During the pandemic, a large number of orders forced online retailers of fresh produce to quickly change their emergency logistics capabilities to meet the needs of ordinary consumers during the pandemic. Our research aims to help online retailers establish an emergency physical distribution framework for fresh produce during disasters to meet consumer needs. Research design and methodology: 160 effective responses were collected from the online response team in Wuhan, China, and exploratory factor analysis was used to determine the emergency logistics capability framework. Twelve experts were invited online to collect their scoring opinions and use the entropy method to determine the importance of emergency logistics capabilities. Results: Our results have identified a total of 17 emergency logistics factors for online retailers, and we found that Transportation route planning and reconstruction capabilities, Emergency plan planning ability, and Supply chain real-time information sharing capability are the most important in the overall framework. Conclusions: This research completely established the physical distribution framework of fresh agricultural products online retailer in emergency situations. It enriches academic resources in the field of emergency distribution and provides a scientific basis for corporate managers to improve their physical distribution capabilities in emergency situations.

메타버스 핵심가치에 대한 소비자 기대 수준 조사 (Metaverse Core-value Structure and Consumer Expectations Survey)

  • The capabilities of the metaverse have been demonstrated by representative examples such as Roblox, Fortnite, and Zepeto, and it can enable gaming, social networking services, and other applications. Nevertheless, research on the metaverse has been fragmented owing to conflicting definitions, core values, and characteristics. This ambiguity in metaverse conventions has hindered related research, analysis, and policy establishment. As the confusion seems to aggravate, consistent concepts should be established. Although the coronavirus disease pandemic led to a collapse in metaverse usage, it is regaining public interest since 2022. To promote the metaverse development, we structure core values based on existing research and surveys of consumer expectations. We found that consumers perceive the metaverse as a realistic virtual space and a potential economic opportunity. Hence, it seems necessary to track the extent to which the metaverse core values satisfy consumer demands. Such core values should be consistently reflected in policies and technology development.

청년은 정보 활용격차에서 자유로운가? - 한국 2030 청년세대의 모바일 정보 활용에 관한 연구 - (Is the Youth Generation Free from the Digital Divide? -A Study on the Utilization of Mobile Information of the 2030 Youth Generation in Korea-)

  • 본 연구는 2030 청년세대의 모바일 정보 활용수준에 따라 집단을 유형화하고, 유형별 소비자역량과 생활 만족도에 차이가 있는지 실증하고자 하였다. 그리고 세대 내 정보격차에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 요인을 파악하고 자 하였다. 이를 위해 2018년 디지털 정보격차 실태조사 원자료를 활용하여 총 1779부의 유효데이터를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 2030 청년세대의 정보 활용요인은 '개인의 정보활동', '공유활동', '생활서비스', '사회참여', '정보 및 네트워킹', '경제활동'으로 도출되었다. 정보 활용수준에 따라 소비자는 준거집단(46.5%), 고활용집단(27.2), 저활용집단(26.3%) 3가지로 유형화되었으며, 유형별 인구통계학적 특성, 소비자역량, 생활 만족도에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 그리고 준거집단과 비교하여, 고활용집단과 저활용집단의 정보격차에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 요인을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 2030 청년세대 내 정보 활용수준이 유의한 차이가 있음을 확인하고, 이러한 차이가 정보격차로 이어질 가능성을 피력하였다는 것에 의의가 있다. 청년세대 역시 정보격차의 대상이 될 수 있으며, 향후 정책이나 교육에서도 청년세대 정보격차에 대한 발전된 차원의 논의가 필요할 것이다.

결정적 사건기법을 적용한 대학생의 1인 미디어 소비자정보에 대한 반응 탐색: 유튜브를 중심으로 (Exploring University Student's Responses to Consumer Information in Personal Media Using Critical Incident Technique: Focusing on YouTube)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 소비자정보로서의 유튜브 1인 미디어에 대한 대학생들의 인상적인 경험을 긍정적, 부정적 측면에서 탐색하고, 유용한 소비자정로보서의 1인 미디어의 개선점을 모색하는 것이다. 대학생 44명을 연구대상으로 선정하고 소비 맥락에서의 유튜브 이용 경험에 관한 자료를 결정적 사건기법을 적용하여 수집 및 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 1인 미디어에 대한 긍정적 반응으로는 'C2C 정보력 강화', '소비자 중심적 사용성', '매력적인 정보 크리에이터', '공감대와 동류의식 형성', '신선하고 유희적인 정보'가 도출되었고, 부정적 반응으로는 '유해정보의 확산', '정보 크리에이터에 대한 불신', '과도한 광고와 충동구매 유발', '미디어 중독', '상대적 박탈감'이 도출되었다. 대학생들은 1인 미디어 개선을 위해 '법 정책적 규제 도입', '미디어 리터러시 강화', '소비자 지향적 UI 개선'이 요구된다고 제안하였다. 본 연구는 1인 미디어에 대한 소비자의 인식과 경험을 이해하는 기초자료로 활용될 수 있으며, 소비자 지향적인 1인 미디어의 방향을 제언한다는 점에서 의의를 가진다.
