공공기관 관리감독자 전문성 향상에 영향을 미치는 안전역량강화교육 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Factors of Safety Competency Enhancement Education Influencing the Improvement of the Professionalism of the Supervisor of Public Institution Management Supervisor)

  • This study analyzed effective capacity building education plans for public institution management supervisors. A survey was conducted on 635 management supervisors of public institutions (99 institutions) subject to the safety management rating system to understand the characteristics of educational participants and the impact of educational satisfaction on professionalism improvement after capacity building education. As a result of statistical analysis, the professional improvement according to the affiliation of educational participants was higher in the workplace and construction site divisions than in the research facility division, and the professional improvement according to the working period was higher for more than 15 years than for less than 5 years and less than 15 years. In addition, the quality of education had a significant positive (+) effect on the degree of professional improvement. This study can be used as basic data for further research related to capacity building education for public institution management supervisors

  • MOCT(Ministry of Construction St Transportation) suggested "A Plan for Implementation of Knowledge-based Economy for the Construction Industry" to add high value to a construction industry. by means of knowledge-based management. However, there is no knowledge management system which considers characteristics of a domestic construction industry. So a useful knowledge vanished the moment a company terminated a construction Uoject. Therefore, it is necessary to develop "An application method of a knowledge management system for the construction industry" which takes a real environment into consideration. This study aims to present the road map of a knowledge management system which helps the bodies of the construction industry(government, research center/university, enterprise, etc) to do a knowledge activity efficiently. To accomplish this objective, we analyzed overall knowledge management activities. In addition we suggested an implementation direction and strategy of a knowledge management system for the construction industry. As results of this study, we presented the road map of a knowledge management system for the construction industry, which is composed of policy forum, study forum, professional forum, research forum and knowledge 8t information DB. We expect that results of this study will be used as a basis for implementing the knowledge portal that brings a construction industry to a high value added industry.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the method of scheduling of Petronas twin tower project. Petronas twin tower is the highest building in the world today. Kuala Lumpur City Center Berhad which is owner of Petronas twin tower, managed this construction project by use of useful scheduling techniques, that is, milestone, NSC, NS, PDM, rolling wave, hammock. Now we consider this techniques and try to apply to our construction management.

  • As the use of advanced quality materials in constructions has been increasing since 1980 with the improvements in the quality of life and economic scale, there has been drastic increase in constructions using stones for the internal and external construction materials. However, the reality is where many problems rise due to improper construction and management of uncertified stones which shorten the expiry date of the stones and act as the factor causing defects in buildings. Such defects not only bring economic losses but also influence consumer choice and act as risk factors to demand expansion of stone market. Therefore, the object of this study lies on proposing plans to prevent personal and economical losses due to repetitive defects by deriving the types of defects generated by process in stone constructions and identify the causes. Also, proposing construction process management plans as the measure for defect prevention, analyzing problems of stone constructions followed by the whole proves of design, construction and maintenance of stones, and solving such problems through appropriate participation of professional consultants depending on situations.

BIM Awareness Assessment among Hydropower Professionals in Nepal

  • Building Information Modelling (BIM) has evolved into a comprehensive, collaborative method in construction project delivery. Most industrialized and developed countries have made BIM mandatory in the government and public projects, whereas developing countries are embracing and catching up BIM technologies to improve their professional's abilities and reduce claims in the construction projects. However, BIM awareness and professional's competence have become critical in implementing BIM in infrastructure projects in Nepal, particularly hydropower projects. The objectives of this study are to find the BIM awareness among hydropower professionals in Nepal and assess their response. The study used a questionnaire survey to assess the awareness. The results showed that only few professionals (12 percentage in this study) are aware of BIM and its application in Hydropower infrastructures. Majority of the respondents (more than 50%) were interested in BIM trainings and believed BIM implementation in future projects. The study indicated that lack of BIM training and lack of BIM awareness were the top factors affecting BIM implementation in hydropower projects in Nepal. The findings showed that about 66 percent of the respondents who used BIM in their projects mainly used during construction phase. More than 80 percent believed that BIM should be mandated for the hydropower projects in Nepal. The findings presented in this study could promote awareness among different professionals, organization, and construction team and encourage BIM implementation in Hydropower projects. The findings could raise awareness of BIM in Nepal's infrastructure sectors and its invaluable benefits in construction.

  • 중국의 건설기업은 세계시장에서 입지가 점차로 확대되고 있다. 중국의 건설기업은 중국에서 육성된 건설기술인력이 체계적인 건설공사업무를 수행하고 있다고 판단된다. 본 연구의 목적은 중국내 교육제도에 기반을 둔 중국 건설기술자격제도인 건조사와 조가공정사의 특성에 대하여 분석하고 그 시사점을 도출하고자 한다. 본 연구의 방법은 문헌조사를 기반으로 사례조사 방법론을 통하여 중국기술자격제도의 종류와 지식체계의 깊이를 분석하는 것을 중심으로 하였다. 중국의 건조사 및 조가공정사 관련 제도는 보다 구체적이고 세분화되어 있으면서 국가가 직접 관장하여 운영하고 있다. 또한 각 자격종목별 요구되는 지식체계가 구체적으로 제시되어 있어서 각 자격별로 구체적인 시험종목 및 세부과목을 어느 수준으로 요구하는지 비교적 명확하게 파악 및 분석이 가능하다. 본 연구에서 파악된 중국의 국가자격제도가 가지는 구체성, 전문성, 실용성 등의 이슈는 후속연구로서 보다 심층적으로 계속 분석하여야 할 연구의 기반을 제공하고 있다.

  • In recent years, disputes are on the increase that noise and vibration by construction equipments and blasting do damage to livestock farming families around construction sites in the construction of a road or a railway.   • Under the WTO system, global standardization of professionalism in architecture practice calls for transformation of curriculum in architectural education in Korea. This paper compares the curriculum standards of international accrediting authorities such as NAAB and RIBA based on UIA accord which defines fundamental knowledge and abilities of an architect. As a result this paper extracts 51 achievement oriented criteria of architectural education in Korea. It can be categorized as communication, design, cultural context(history and theory, human behavior and social aspects), technical systems(structural systems, environmental control systems, construction material and assemblies) and practice(project process, project economics and business management, laws and regulations). Based on this recommended Korean curriculum standards, current curriculum is analyzed focusing on the 5 architectural programs in Seoul. Through this analysis, it became clear that some area - social and economic aspects in architecture, sustainability in architecture, understanding and selection of construction material, assemblies and environmental control system, recycling of existing building, professional liability, professional rules of conduct, project economics and project management - need to be covered and emphasized to meet the international standards in professional education in architecture. The result in this paper will be used as a basic data in the process of finding the direction of restructuring curriculum for professional architectural education in Korea.
