취학 전 정상구어발달 아동의 조음교대운동 특성 (The study of diadochokinetic (DDK) rate and accuracy in typically developing children)

  • 본 논문은 자연스럽고 빠르게 모델링했을 때 4~6세 37명이 산출한 조음교대운동(DDK) 결과를 통해 모음구조의 DDK도 임상적 가치가 있음을 확인했고, DDK속도와 함께 조음오류 빈도와 유형 및 규칙성도 분석해야 말장애 아동의 조음능력에 대한 더 정확한 정보를 얻을 수 있음을 제안하고 있다. 자모음(예: '퍼')과 모음(예: '아이')의 음운구조를 반복 산출한 자료에서 각 검사음을 반복한 횟수, 오류 빈도, 오류 유형 및 규칙성(DDKsdp)을 측정했다. 그 결과, 조음교대운동 평균 속도는 연령과 함께 증가했으나, 음운 구조나 연령에 따른 유의한 차이는 없었다. DDK 수행시 나타난 실수를 분석한 결과, 4세의 오류빈도는 5세 및 6세에 비해 유의하게 높았다. DDKsdp에서 표준화된 발음검사 점수와 연령에 따른 차이는 없었다.

사례기반 학습을 이용한 음절기반 한국어 단어 분리 및 범주 결정 (Segmenting and Classifying Korean Words based on Syllables Using Instance-Based Learning)

  • 한국어는 영어와 같이 공백을 단어의 경계로 사용하지만, 그 단어의 구조는 영어와 다소 차이가 있다. 영어는 일반적으로 공백 사이에 하나의 단어가 포함되나, 한국어는 여러 개의 단어 혹은 형태소가 포함된다. 이런 차이 때문에 일반적으로 한국어에서는 공백을 경계로 이루어진 단어를 어절이라고 한다. 본 논문에서는 하나의 어절 내에 포함된 단어들을 분리하고, 분리된 각 단어의 적절한 범주를 결정하는 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 사례기반 기계학습 방법을 이용하고 음절 단위로 단어를 분리한다. 사례기반 학습을 위해 사용된 자질집합은 이전 음절 자신의 음절, 이후의 두 음절, 자신의 음절에 대한 받침 정보, 이전 두 범주 정보이다. 제안된 시스템을 평가하기 위해서 ETRI 말뭉치와 KAIST 말뭉치를 사용하였으며, 두 말뭉치 모두에서 단어 분리의 F 측도가 97% 이상으로 비교적 좋은 성능을 보였다.

스웨덴어 발음 교육상의 몇 가지 문제점 - 모음을 중심으로 -

  • The aim of this paper is to analyse difficulties of the pronunciation in swedish vowels encountered by Koreans learners and to seek solutions in order to correct the possible errors. In the course of the analysis the swedish and Korean vowels in question are compared with the purpose of describing differences aha similarities between these two systems. This contrastive description is largely based on the students' articulatory speech level ana the writer's auditory , judgement . The following points are discussed : 1 ) Vowel length as a distinctive feature in Swedish compared with that of Korean. 2) A special attention is paid on the Swedish vowel [w:] that is characterized by its peculiar type of lip rounding. 3) The six pairs of Swedish vowels that are phonologically contrastive but difficult for Koreans to distinguish one from the other: [y:] ~ [w:], [i:] ~ [y:], [e:] ~ [${\phi}$:], [w;] ~ [u:] [w:] ~ [$\theta$], [$\theta$] ~ [u] 4) The r-colored vowel in the case of the postvocalic /r/ that is very common in American English is not allowed in English sound sequences. The r-colored vowel in the American English pattern has to be broken up and replaced hi-segmental vowel-consonant sequences . Korean accustomed to the American pronunciation are warned in this respect. For a more distinct articulation of the postvocalic /r/ trill [r] is preferred to fricative [z]. 5) The front vowels [e, $\varepsilon, {\;}{\phi}$) become opener variants (${\ae}, {\;}:{\ae}$] before / r / or supradentals. The results of the analysis show that difficulties of the pronunciation of the target language (Swedish) are mostly due to the interference from the Learner's source language (Korean). However, the Learner sometimes tends to get interference also from the other foreign language with which he or she is already familiar when he or she finds in that language more similarity to the target language than in his or her own mother tongue. Hence this foreign language (American English) in this case functions as a second language for Koreans in Learning Swedish.

  • 모바일 사용자 인터페이스가, 특히 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서, 정보를 빨리 그리고 편리하게 액세스하는데 중요해지고 있다. 모바일 컴퓨팅 환경에서의 많은 신규서비스들 중에서, 한글1자 도메인명을 포함하여, 한글알파벳(자음과 모음) 도메인명을 이용한 유비쿼터스 정보네트워킹서비스가 연구되었다. 긴 영어나 한글의 URL 스트링 대신에, 정보 액세스를 위한 편리한 사용자 인터페이스로서, 유선 인터넷에서 뿐만아니라 모바일 인터넷에서, 한글1자/자음/모음 도메인명이 정보를 액세스하고 정보를 알리는데 긴 URL스트링보다 더 편리하다. PC뿐만아니라 휴대폰에서 한글1자/자음/모음 도메인명의 편리함을 연구하였고, 음성변환(TTS) 기능을 가지고 있으며 한글1자/자음/모음 도메인명으로 액세스할 수 있는 유비쿼터스 정보포털의 구현과 응용을 소개한다

  • This research has its basis with focus on the way Korean native speakers recognize Chinese Korean-learners' pronunciation. The objective of the study is to lay the cornerstone for establishing effective teaching-learning strategies for the education of the Korean phonetic system. In this study, the results of the experiment are presented which shows how native speakers of Korean identify Chinese Korean-learners' pronunciation of consonants. In the first place, stimulation tones were created from the original utterances of Chinese Korean-learners and seven scripts were made through the Pratt program. In addition, the subjects were asked to choose what the phonetic materials sounded like. The results of the research are represented as the ratio of frequency of Korean native speakers' response to each utterance to the total frequency. In addition, the paired t-test was taken in order to explore any relatedness to the changes in the level of proficiency of the Korean phonetic system, ranging from beginners to advanced learners. The outcome shows that the mistakes which Chinese Korean-learners make in pronouncing the consonants of Korean are relatively well-reflected in Korean native speakers' auditory cognitive reactions. To put it concretely, there is some difficulty in differentiating lax consonants from aspirates in the cases of plosives and affricates, but relatively little trouble with fortes. However, it is revealed that there is also a slight difference in relation to articulatory positions in detailed aspects. To provide an effective teaching method for the Korean phonetic system, it is essential to comprehend learners' phonetic mistakes through the precise analysis of data in terms of 'production.' Also, a more meticulous observation of 'phenomena' must be made through verification from the view of 'reception,' as attempted in this study. A more thorough diagnosis by applying methodology makes it possible to lay the foundation for developing effective teaching-learning strategies for the instruction of the Korean phonetic system. This study has its significance in making such attempts.

  • Characteristics of the Listening and Pronunciation of Korean Obstruents of Chinese Learners -Based on the Phonetic Experiments Using Kalvin and Praat- This study aims at investigating the characteristics of confrontation in three ways, lax/ fortis/ aspirated consonants, in Korean obstruents through experimental phonetic analysis for the Chinese Korean language learners. On one hand, as a result of comparing Korean and Chinese obstruent systems, there is no big difference regarding the articulatory location. On the other hand, in regards to the articulatory method there is a difference. In a Korean obstruent system, the confrontation presented in three ways by the strength of aspiration. On the contrary, the Chinese obstruent system showed confrontation in two ways by the existence of aspiration. To examine the difficulty of the learners caused by the above-mentioned reason objectively, this paper studied the relationship between input and output of sound through the experimental phonetic analysis such as Kalvin and Praat. To research the input of sound, the listening ability of the learners was examined by 'Choosing Consonant' among the Menu of Kalvin. As a result of that experiment, many errors were shown. They recognized the fortis as lax in the area of affricates and plosives. In the area of fricatives, they recognized affricatives as fricatives. To investigate the output of sound, the section of aspiration and the section of friction of a plosive, an affricate and a fricative in Praat, were expressed numerically. The learners' VOT of lax and affricate represented that lax was pronounced close to the fortis, and the VOT of fricatives was not shown the section of aspiration and friction clearly, and also the result showed that they pronounced a fricative like affricative-aspirated one. The result shows that the learners' pronunciation is related to the listening ability. The consequence is caused by the characteristics of the difference between Korean obstruents and Chinese ones. If the training pronunciation is conducted based on above result, it would be a better methodology in teaching Korean.

한글 단어의 음성 인식 처리에 관한 연구 (A Study on Processing of Speech Recognition Korean Words)

  • 본 논문에서는 한글 단어 단위의 음성 인식 처리 기술을 제안한다. 음성 인식은 마이크와 같은 센서를 사용하여 얻은 음향학적 신호를 단어나 문장으로 변환시키는 기술이다. 대부분의 외국어들은 음성 인식에 있어서 어려움이 적은 편이다. 그에 반면, 한글의 모음과 받침 자음 구성이어서 음성 합성 시스템으로부터 얻은 문자를 그대로 사용하기에는 부적절하다. 기존 구조의 음성 인식 기술을 개선해야만 보다 정확하게 단어를 인식할 수 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 기존 방식의 음성 인식구조에 새로운 알고리즘을 추가하여 음성 인식률을 높이게 하였다. 먼저 입력된 단어를 전처리 과정을 수행한 후 결과를 토큰 처리한다. 레벤스테인 거리 알고리즘과 해싱 알고리즘에서 처리된 결과 값을 조합한 후 자음 비교 알고리즘을 거쳐 표준 단어를 출력한다. 최종 결과 단어를 표준화 테이블과 비교하여 존재하면 출력하고 존재하지 않으면 테이블에 등록하도록 하였다. 실험 환경은 스마트폰 응용 프로그램을 개발하여 사용하였다. 본 논문에서 제안된 구조는 기존 방식에 비해 인식률의 성능이 표준어는 2%, 방언은 7% 정도 향상되었음을 보였다.

기능적 조음음운장애 아동의 조음복잡성에 따른 자음과 단어의 음향학적 길이 (Acoustic Duration of Consonants and Words by Phonetic Complexity in Children with Functional Articulation and Phonological Disorders)

  • Purpose : This study was conducted to investigate whether phonetic complexity affected the type and frequency of articulation errors and the acoustic duration of consonants and words produced by children with functional articulation and phonological disorders. Methods : The participants in this study were 20 children with functional articulation and phonological disorders and 20 children without such disorders who were between 3 years 7 months old and 4 years 11 months old. The participants were asked to name what they saw in pictures and their responses were recorded. The types and frequencies of articulation errors and the acoustic duration of words were analyzed and words were categorized as being of either 'high' or 'low' phonetic complexity. The acoustic duration of initial and final consonants and vowels following initial consonants were compared between the groups according to articulatory complexity. Results : Children with functional articulation and phonological disorders produced articulation errors more frequently when saying high complexity words and had longer word duration when saying low-complexity words than children without such disorders. There was no major difference in initial and final consonant duration between the groups. but the main effect of articulatory complexity on the duration of both consonants was significant. Conclusion : These results suggest that the articulatory-phonic structure of words influences the speech motor control ability of children with functional articulation and phonological disorders. When articulating consonants, children with functional articulation and phonological disorders had speech motor control ability similar to that of children without such disorders.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 점자 학습 제품의 단점들을 보완한 점자 교육 시스템을 다룬다. 시각장애인 전용 어플리케이션은 사용자 편의성을 위해 터치 제스처 및 음성 안내를 통하여 전체 기능을 수행할 수 있도록 구성한다. 점자키트는 아두이노와 3D 프린팅을 통해 교육 목적에 맞게 제작한다. 시스템은 다음과 같은 기능들을 지원한다. 첫 째, 초성·종성·모음·약어 등 기초적인 점자의 학습. 둘 째, 단계별 퀴즈를 풀어 학습한 점자를 확인하는 기능. 셋 째, 모르는 점자가 있을 때 번역하는 기능이다. 실험을 통한 터치 제스처의 인식률과 점자 표현의 정확도를 확인하였고 번역의 경우 의도한대로 번역이 되는 것을 확인하였다. 이 시스템을 통해 시각장애인이 효율적으로 점자를 학습할 수 있다.

  • Cerebral palsy is one of the most serious forms of disorders of the psychophysical development of children, which manifests itself in disturbances of motor functions, which are often combined with speech disorders, other complications of the formation of higher mental functions, and often with a decrease in intelligence. The article will discuss the speech disorder in children with cerebral palsy. Emphasis is placed on some important aspects, which should bear in mind, investigating the problem of specifics of speech development of children with cerebral palsy. In particular at the heart of speech disorders in the cerebral palsy is not only damage to certain structures of the brain, but also the later formation or underdevelopment of those parts of the cerebral cortex, which are of major importance in linguistic and mental activity. This is an ontogenetically young region of the cerebral cortex, which is most rapidly developing after birth (premotor, frontal, temmono-temporal). It is important to take into account, that children with cerebral palsy have disturbances of phonemic perception. Often, children do not distinguish between hearing sounds, cannot repeat component rows, allocate sounds in words. At dysarthria, there are violations of pronunciation of vowel and consonant sounds, tempo of speech, modulation of voice, breathing, phonation, as well as asynchronous breathing, alignment and articulation. As a result, we identified the main features and specifics of the speech development of children with cerebral palsy and described the conditions necessary for the full development of language. Language disturbances in children's cerebral palsy depend on the localization and severity of brain damage. Great importance in the mechanism of speech disorders has a pathology that limits the ability of movement and knowledge of the world.
