  • The physical origins of anomalous volume effect (Invar effect) and elastic effect (Elinvar effect) are critically examined. We found that, unlike the volume effect, the shear elastic properties are not much influenced by the ferromagnetic transition. This finding shows that the two anomalies originate from different physical origins, thus contradicting the conventional wisdom. We discuss the consequences of this finding in the light of recent experiments.

  • A 91-year-old female presented to Chonnam National University Hospital Regional Trauma Center with a lateral compression type III fracture of the pelvis. She was managed non-operatively for a week in the intensive care unit under close observation and had an emergency operation due to delayed onset of an acute obstructed direct inguinal hernia. Traumatic abdominal wall hernias are rare. However, trauma surgeons should always be aware of the possibility of such injuries because of their critical consequences.

  • In this paper, we obtain initial coefficient bounds for an unified subclass of analytic functions by using the Chebyshev polynomials. Furthermore, we find the Fekete-$Szeg{\ddot{o}}$ result for this class. All results are sharp. Consequences of the results are also discussed.

  • The main focus of the present paper is to present new set of sufficient conditions so that the normalized form of the Mittag-Leffler and Wright functions have certain geometric properties like close-to-convexity, univalency, convexity and starlikeness inside the unit disk. Interesting consequences and examples are derived to support that these results are better than the existing ones and improve several results available in the literature.

  • Opial inequality and its consequences are useful in establishing existence and uniqueness of solutions of initial and boundary value problems for differential and difference equations. In this paper we analyze Opial-type inequalities for convex functions. We have studied different versions of these inequalities for a generalized integral operator. Further difference of Opial-type inequalities are utilized to obtain generalized mean value theorems, which further produce various interesting derivations for fractional and conformable integral operators.

  • One of the consequences of hyperglycemia is the excessive nonenzymatic glycation of proteins known as Millard reaction. Under hyperglycemia the irreversibly formed advanced glycation endproducts(AGEs) do not return to normal when hyperglycemia is corrected and continue to accumulate over the lifetime of protein. AGEs are largely involved in the pathogenesis of diabetic complications. To find possible AGEs inhibitor, BSA was added to a mixture of sugars and unprocessed-, processed Coptidis Rhizoma, Berberine, its standard compound or AG(Aminoguanidine HCl: positive control). • Let M be an almost Kenmotsu manifold of dimension 2n + 1 having non-vanishing -sectional curvature such that trℓ > -2n - 2. We prove that any second order parallel tensor on M is a constant multiple of the associated metric tensor and obtained some consequences of this. Vector fields keeping curvature tensor invariant are characterized on M.

  • In this article, we initiate subclasses of functions with boundary and radius rotations that are related to limaçon domains and examine some of their geometric properties. Radius results associated with functions in these classes and their linear combination are studied. Furthermore, the growth rate of coefficients, arc length and coefficient estimates are derived for these novel classes. Overall, some useful consequences of our findings are also illustrated.

  • In this study, We have applied the right operator k-Riemann-Liouville is involving two orders α and β with a positive parameter p > 0, further, the left operator k-Riemann-Liouville is used with the negative parameter p < 0 to introduce a new version related to Hardy-type inequalities. These inequalities are given and reversed for the cases 0 < p < 1 and p < 0. We then improved and generalized various consequences in the framework of Hardy-type fractional integral inequalities.

  • The present paper deals with the study of generalized quasi-conformal curvature tensor inside the setting of (𝑘, 𝜇)'-almost Kenmotsu manifold with respect to 𝜂-Ricci soliton. Certain consequences of these curvature tensor on such manifold are likewise displayed. Finally, we illustrate some examples based on this study.
