The system has a function of acquirement PCM signal of the preferred channel from the subhighway (SHW), connecting a universal signal transceiver unit and time switch unit, and then it classifies the type of signal such as R2MFC/ DTMF/ CCT/ VOICE, and finally discriminates the digit. This paper describes the spectral analysis of the PCM acquisition system usng the quick Fourier transform(QFT), and discusses the algorithm of signal analysis and discrimination.

This paper presents the designing/manufacturing scheme of the diplexer for satellite transponder which is composed of 2-channel bandpass filters, coupled with E-plane T-junction, having symmetrical waveguide E-plane step discontinuity structures. The 2-channel bandpass filters of the diplexer are designed by the scheme of connecting ${\lambda}_{g}$/2 shunt stub to the waveguide E-plane, playing the role of heat sinks without attaching a special heat sinks and to give the profitable productivity and allow the low-cost manufacturing at mass production, tuning screws are eliminated which have been used to compensate the operating characteristics of manufactured filters. The 2 channel bandpass filters of manufactured 14/12 GHz diplexer for domestic Ku-band satellite transponder have the return loss of 25 dB, insertion loss of 0.3 dB in passband, and below-50 dB of stopband characteristics (T$_{x}$ : f$_{o}{\pm}$250 MHz, R$_{x}$ : f$_{o}{\pm}$220 MHz) at room temperature.

A haptic hand controller operated by the user's hand can receive information on position and orientation of the hand and display force and moment generated in the virtual environment to the hand. This paper presents a design method for KU-HHC, 6 DOF Korea University-haptic hand controller, which allows separation of workspace from linkage mechanism in consideration of the efficient user operation. First, the 3 DOF mechanism in which all the actuators are mounted on the fixed base is developed by combining a 5-bar linkage and gimbal mechanism. Then, the 6 DOF HHC is designed by connecting the two 3 DOF devices through a handle. This paper presents the forward and inverse kinematics for this device and Jacobian analysis. Improvement of the kinematic characteristics using performance index is also discussed. The hand controller KU-HHC based on this design concept and kinematic analysis was manufactured and shows excellent performance.

In this paper, the electronic ballast was developed to control 250W metal halide lamp. To avoid acoustic resonance phenomenon, we calculated the acoustic resonance band and determined the driving frequence to from 70kHz to 100kHz. Due to the switching loss of MOSFET, many problems are caused in the inverter circuit during lighting the lamp, so we have reduced the loss by connecting the capacitor to reduce inrush current In this paper, main research area is to find the methods to operate the Iamp on regulated constant output. After detecting the current I and voltage V of the lamp, we changed the driving frequency by changing the DC voltage level.

This paper is intended as an investigation of Build-up Method of SCM Connection applying EC Standard(Rossetta-net) to reduce the integration effort, and improve extensibility and interoperability of an eBusiness infrastructure.-Intiative way for I-commerce applications to quickly incorporate new standards. Let me summarize the main points that have been made in this paper. The sharing information for connection and the Rosetta-net standard of the existing SCM system, and PIP 3A4, order management module, of the Rosetta-net specifications for connection by the Rosetta-net. Lastly, That shows the process of the gateway for connecting among the existing SCM systems.

In this paper, we propose virtual direction multicast (VDM) for video multicast applications on peer-to-peer overlay networks. It locates the end hosts relative to each other based on a virtualized orientation scheme using real-time measurements. It builds multicast tree by connecting the nodes, which are estimated to be in the same virtual direction. By using the concept of directionality, we target to use minimal resources in the underlying network while satisfying users' quality expectations. We compare VDM against host multicast tree protocol.We simulated the protocol in a network simulator and implemented in PlanetLab. Results both from simulation and PlanetLab implementation show that our proposed technique exhibits good performance in terms of defined metrics.

As the social value gradually increases, the company's social responsibilities are granted and there are a growing number of requirements for a public value to economic value for the company. The cause marketing which has become widely known, it allows us to realize these values and in dictionary meaning, enterprises justification combines with marketing strategically, and is also illustrated as 'Cause Related Marketing.' For specific action plan, it is a marketing by connecting the selling of the product and donation to work out together to improve environment, public health, and poverty. This study examines how the cause marketing impact on the consumer's purchasing behaviour and purchasing intention and to find out whether there is an interrelationship. As a result, it turned out that cause marketing effect on purchasing attitudes and also the purchasing behaviour impact on the purchasing intention. Furthermore, the cause marketing influence on purchasing intention. As the idea of consumption gradually changes from the product consumption to value-based consumption as the time flows, the result of this research drew out the meaningful contents.

This study attempts to reveal structures of two-dimensional ring polymer solutions in various polymer concentrations ranging from dilute to concentrated regime. Polymer sizes, single molecule structure factors, bond correlation functions and monomer density distribution functions from center of mass are given in order to clarify the polymer structures. Our study shows that a ring in dilute solution maintain pseudo-circular structure with self-avoiding walk (SAW) statistics, and it seems to be composed of two connecting SAW linear chains. In semidilute solutions, ring polymers are not entangled with each other and adopt collapsed configurations. Such assumption of collapsed structures in the semidilute regime gives an overlap concentration of ${\varphi}^*{\sim}N^{-1/2}$ where N is degree of polymerization. By normalizing the polymer concentration by these overlap concentration, we find universal behaviors of polymer sizes and structure factors regardless of N.

At present Internet, a huge network connecting many computers in the world, has become a major boom to business. It seems to change not only telecommunications, but also changes the business world. It was utilized by a maximum of about 1,000,000 at the end of the 1980's. This figure has increased dramatically to approximately 40,000,000 at present. This enormous increase has been from two reasons. One is that an open door for businesses begun in 1990. This fact called to account a new interest of many enterprises looking to expand their business through Internet. Prior to that Internet was confined to academic utilization and not used for business purposes. The other reson is that a method was developed where desired information could be easily searched. This article describes the fundamentals of Internet so that one should know the history of Internet and the connection method to use it in practice in Korea. The splendor of Internet cannot be understood until it is tested In practice. The readers are strongly urged to participate in the Internet.

Many studies have been done in the field of fuzzy logic theory, but it's application is not so much, and particularly, there isn't any application to the ship's steering system, until now. This paper is to survey the effect of application of fuzzy logic control to the ship's steering system. The controller is made up of a set of Linguistic Control Rules which are conditional linguistic statements connecting the inputs and the output, and take the inputs derived from the errors, that is, deviation angle and it's angular velocity. These two variables together give information about the state of the steering system, and the Linguistic Control Rules are implemented on the digital computer. The characteristics of this system were investigated through the computer simulation and satisfactory results compared with that of the conventional PD controller were obtained.
