A Review on Field Constraints for Railway Conflict Detection and Resolution Problem; focusing on the Korean Regional Railway System (열차경합 검지 및 해소 문제를 위한 현실제약의 고찰: 한국철도의 사례를 중심으로)

  • Railway conflict detection and resolution problem (RCDRP) involves complicated field constraints that should be considered for practical service. In this paper, we address those constraints in brief. Particularly, following situations are addressed; (1) temporal change of network topology, (2) consideration of diverse conditions of track and train, for example, single/double tracks and passenger/freight service, (3) siding capacity limitation, (4) bidirectional sides used by both inbound and outbound trains, (5) regulation for passenger transfer service, (6) consideration of siding length, (7) Restriction on stopping before the track segment with steep slope.

Detection of Conflict Transition Scene Using Character Regions (인물 면적을 이용한 갈등 전환 장면 검출)

  • The story is formed by the flow of the development and resolution of the conflict between the characters. Namely, the story consists of conflict setting, development, and resolution. Character region is an important expression technique to describe the emotions or states of characters and the relationship between characters and the environment. The purpose of this paper is to propose a method for detecting the transition of conflict from the graph of character region's change. To this end, we present a method of generating a change graph of a character region in a movie by calculating the character region and a method of detecting a conflict transition scene from a graph of character region's change. To verify the performance of the proposed method, an experiment was conducted to extract conflict transition scenes for 7 movies, and performance evaluation results of 73.57% accuracy and 77.26% recall were obtained. This proves that it is possible to extract conflict transition scenes based on the character region.

  • Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) is designed to enhance safety in aircraft operations, by reducing the incidences of mid-air collision between aircraft. The current version of TCAS provides only vertical resolution advisory to the pilots, if an aircraft's collision with another is predicted to be imminent, while efforts to include horizontal resolution advisory have been made, as well. This paper introduces a collision resolution algorithm, which includes both vertical and horizontal avoidance maneuvers of aircraft. Also, the paper compares between the performance of the proposed algorithm and that of algorithms with only vertical or horizontal avoidance maneuver of aircraft.

User-Centric Conflict Management for Media Services Using Personal Companions

  • In this paper, we propose a user-centric conflict management method for media services which exploits personal companions for the harmonious detection and resolution of service conflicts. To detect conflicts based on the varying characteristics of individual users, the proposed method exploits the unified context describing all users attempting to access media services. It recommends and mediates users' preferred media contents through a shared screen and personal companions to resolve the detected conflicts. During the recommendation, a list of preferred media contents is displayed on the shared screen, and a personally preferred content list is shown on the user's personal companion comprising the selection of media contents. Mediation assists the selection of a consensual service by gathering the users' selections and highlighting the common media contents. In experiments carried out in a ubiHome, we observed that recommendations and mediation are useful in harmoniously resolving conflicts by encouraging user participation in conflict situations.

  • 본 논문은 철도청 사령실 통합 신호설비 구축사업에 적용할 열차 경합의 효과적인 해소 기법을 제시하고자 한다. 열차경합의 검지 및 해소 시스템 (Railway Conflict Detection and Resolution System)은 열차 운행관리 시스템(Railway Traffic Management System, RTMS)의 의사결정 지원 모듈이다. 이 모듈은 열차운행의 정시성을 유지하기 위하여 매우 중요한 기능을 수행하고 있다. 하지만 현재 5개 지역본부별로 나뉘어서 기능이 수행되고 있고, 사령의 경험에 의하여 수작업 형태로 이루어지고 있기 때문에 전체 시스템의 관점에서 보면 최적의 해소안이 도출되고 있지 못하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 시스템을 전역적으로 고려하여 최적의 해소안을 제시하고자 한다. 또한 최적화의 개념을 도입하기 위하여 6가지의 가중치를 설정하고, 이 가중치를 고려한 지연시간의 합을 목적함수의 값으로 설정한다. 본 시스템은 이러한 가중치의 합을 최소로 하는 복수의 해소안을 제시한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 토픽맵 기반의 온톨로지 병합 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 충돌의 유형을 트리 구조로 정의하고 충돌 탐지 및 해결을 통하여 두 온톨로지를 하나로 병합하는 기법을 제안한다. 병합충돌은 의미적 대응 요소들의 유사값에 기반하여 엘리먼트기반, 구조기반 임시기반의 트리 구조로 분류되고 이 충돌 트리를 이용하여 두 매핑 요소사이의 병합충돌을 탐지하고 해결한다. 실험을 위해 토픽맵 질의언어 tolog를 사용하여 동서양 철학온톨로지 및 독일 문학온톨로지들의 병합 전과 후의 질의 결과를 비교하고 이를 정확율과 재현율로 병합 성능을 평가하였으며 그 결과 손실없는 병합이 가능함을 보였다.

  • 현재 사용되고 있는 열차운행관리 시스템(Railway Traffic Management System, RTMS)에서 경합 검지 및 해소업무는 역 및 선로의 정보(상태)연계 및 자동화의 미비로 인하여 착발선 결정, 착발시간 결정, 교행역, 대피역등에서 발생하는 경합 검지 및 해소(Railway Conflict Detection and Resolution)의 결정이 신속하게 이루어지지 못하고 있다. 본 논문은 국내외적으로 적용하고 있는 열차 경합 검지 방법을 조사 비교하여 가장 적절한 알고리즘을 개발, 구현하여 현재 진행중인 철도청 사령실 통합 신호설비 구축사업 프로젝트에 적용하고자 한다.

  • Enterprise security management system proposed to properly manage heterogeneous security products is the security management infrastructure designed to avoid needless duplications of management tasks and inter-operate those security products effectively. In this paper, we defined the security policies using Z-Notation and the detection algorithm of policy conflict for managing heterogeneous firewall systems. It is designed to help security management build invulnerable security policies that can unify various existing management infrastructures of security policies. Its goal is not only to improve security strength and increase the management efficiency and convenience but also to make it possible to include different security management infrastructures while building security policies. With the process of the detection and resolution for policy conflict, it is possible to integrate heterogeneous security policies and guarantee the integrity of them by avoiding conflicts or duplications among security policies. And further, it provides convenience to manage many security products existing in large networks.

A Probabilistic Algorithm for Multi-aircraft Collision Detection and Resolution in 3-D

  • This paper presents a real-time algorithm for collision detection, collision avoidance and guidance. Three-dimensional point-mass aircraft models are used. For collision detection, conflict probability is calculated by using the Monte-Carlo Simulation. Time at the closest point of approach(CPA) and distance at CPA are needed to determine the collision probability, being compared to certain threshold values. For collision avoidance, one of possible maneuver options is chosen to minimize the collision probability. For guidance to a designated way-point, proportional navigation guidance law is used. Two scenarios on encounter situation are studied to demonstrate the performance of proposed algorithm.

  • Airborne separation assurance is a key requirement for Free Flight Airspace operations, This paper study the feasibility of airborne separation assurance for free flight Airspaces operations by evaluating the efficiency measurement models. Three qualitatively different methods are utilized; one based Ground and Air conflict probability model, other based Dynamic Density model. the other based Direct operating cost model. The evaluation is Direct Operating Cost model and Two metrics are utilized for the efficiency measurements; airborne separation assurance performed quite well in the Free Flight evaluation; (1) 2 scenario of the conflict situations are resolved; (2) The MD-80 flight peformed separation assurance and efficiency, Not only appling for geometric method algorithm is more efficiently than potential method, but also the most efficiently geometric combined method.
