AB100 & CB100 are general products in the steel beam of the section shape. They are applied for construction, welding and shipbuilding structures. But currently roll damages are generated in the intermediate & finish mills during producing AB 100, CB100. The goal of this project is to conduct rolling & roll stress analysis using the 3D FEM program and to research the things which roll diameter affects roll stress. By the analysis results, it is determined that the recording roll stress where the roll diameter will be big comes to be small, and it is recognized that roll damage occurrences of finish rolling mills can be high by roll stress analysis results.

This study is to analyze the causes of flood damage in Imjin river basin inAugust , 1999. and to propose the measure to reudce such flood damage. The northern part of Kyonggin Province in the basin was severely damaged by flood due to the heavy rainfall for 4 days from 31 July to 3 August, whioch was recordedas 1,032mm. The heavy rainfall worth recording was one of main cuasese of such damage, but unsuitable river improvement and basin management were also important causes. The flood proptection works such as flood control reservoir and riverlevee were not contructed or sufficient in spite of the unflavorable geographical conditions of Imjin reiver. In case of irrigatiion faciliteis, 43 pumping stations in 3 FIAs were severely damaged due to inundation of the pump and switch boxes. The protection works for pump room should be improved to reduce the damage due to inundation.

This paper describes Web-based information sharing mechanism in our hazard map creation support system. This system aims at collecting the unique information received from residents and raising resident's consciousness to disasters by recording hazardous locations where residents feel danger in case of disasters. We have implemented a mechanism to share and integrate data of each terminal through a Web server. We expect that this information sharing effects scalability and usefulness of our system by utilizing collected local hazard information of each district.

현재 정부기관이나 은행 등과 같이 침입 탐지의 보안 서비스를 필요로 하는 곳에서는 주로 CCTV(Closed Circuit TV)와 DVR(Digital Video Recording)과 같은 보안 장비들이 사용되고 있다. 하지만 이러한 장비들은 고가이므로 일반 가정이나 소규모 사업장에 이를 도입하는 것은 어렵다. 이에 본 논문에서는 CCTV나 DVR과 같은 고가의 보안 장비를 저렴하게 대체할 수 있는 인터넷 카메라를 이용한 침입탐지 시스템인 IDS(Intrusion Detection System)를 설계 및 구현하였다. IDS는 침입 탐지 보안 시스템이 기본적으로 갖춰야 하는 모니터링, 녹화, 재생. 침입 탐지 등의 기능을 제공할 뿐만 아니라 인터넷을 이용하므로 거리상의 제약점을 극복하였으며, TCP/IP를 이용한 인터넷 카메라를 사용하여 CCTV나 DVR보다 매우 저렴하게 설치 가능하다.

Goldfish retina has been well studied to a great extent. In spite of that, electrical characteristics of dissociated horizontal cells(HCs) have not been identified in detail. Thus the cone-and the rod- HCs dissociated from goldfish retina were investigated electrophysiologically using whole-cell patch-clamping recording. To explore the basic electrical property, We examined voltage-dependent channels in all types of HCs. For the futher understanding of GABAergic pathway, the localization and distribution of GABA receptors was examined in cone- HCs including HC axon terminals(ATs).

In this paper, Computer-aided Maintenance Equipments, which are being used in maintenance, are applied to analyze failures in train control systems, resulting in long time delays of trains. It can be expected to extend and apply CAMS (Computer Aided Maintenance System) in the hereafter efficient operation and maintenance of high-speed railway train control systems, by comparison between the analysis result of fundamental causes, from high-speed railway train control system failures occurred during the operational process, and predictive result of failure causes, based on the recording data of CAMS when failures were occurred.

The purpose of this study is to develop the optimal system(AAC device), which helps a person with a profound communication disorder to communicate with other people. Therefore, this system includes the user interface enhancement that is the user adaptation mode algorithm. The symbol is made with a text and an icon which is converted into Korean. The message contiol operates scanning and adjusts rate control of row-column scanning and linear scanning. This embedded system includes voice input/output and voice recording as well suggested method that could apply optimal device access algorithm from clinical environment. Therefore, we are experting that even the current system itself will be able to improve the life quality of people who need to communicate with the help of devices.

Method of diagnosis in oriental medicine, the unbalance of the physiological function of the five viscers and six bowels of the human body is determined from time immemorial with the condition of blood circulation which is performed through blood vessels by the vitality of the heart. In oriental medicine, treatment is largely attempted by adjusting this unbalance. The analysis of pulse wave, which mainly measures the changes in blood flows, is to evaluate the shapes of a pulse wave rather than the quantitative changes like rates and strength of the pulse. This paper presents the development of Hardware System and Pulse Diagnosis Algorithm for automatic diagnosis of the pulse wave. This system makes the precise diagnosis and the objective recording possible.

DR (Digital Radiography) system will be the best candidate for next generation x-ray diagnosis system. DR system will replace x-ray film by computer monitor and provide various merits like reduced processing time, easy recording, remote diagnosis and etc. In this paper, we propose the pre-processing algorithm which is designed to compensate dead and defected pixel for x-ray detector panel. We also designed DSP(Digital Signal Processor) based DR image processing board for real-time processing of suggested algorithm.

In this paper, an integrated chaos analysis system for EEG (ICASE) is designed for the analysis of brain functions based on the chaos theory. Nonlinear dynamic characteristics of EEG such as 3-D attractor, Poincare section, correlation dimension, Lyapunov exponents and power spectrum are extracted by this system. The results show that chaotic attractors which indicate the presence of deterministic, dynamics of complex nature could be identified from a routine EEG recording for normal and pathological activity. This proves that the chaotic analysis of EEG may be an appropriate tool in the classification of brain activity and thus a possible diagnostic tool.
