Purpose: The aim of this study is to explore the dynamic linkage between conditional stock market volatility and macroeconomic uncertainty of Bangladesh. Research design, data, and methodology: This study uses monthly data covering the time period from January 2005 to December 2018. A comprehensive set of macroeconomic variables, namely industrial production index (IP), consumer price index (CPI), broad money supply (M2), 91-day treasury bill rate (TB), treasury bond yield (GB), exchange rate (EX), inflow of foreign remittance (RT) and stock market index of DSEX are used for analysis. Symmetric and asymmetric univariate GARCH family of models and multivariate VAR model, along with block exogeneity and impulse response functions, are implemented on conditional volatility series to discover the possible interactions and causal relations between macroeconomic forces and stock return. Results: The analysis of the study exhibits time-varying volatility and volatility persistence in all the variables of interest. Moreover, the asymmetric effect is found significant in the stock return and most of the growth series of macroeconomic fundamentals. Results from the multivariate VAR model indicate that only short-term interest rate significantly influence the stock market volatility, while conditional stock return volatility is significant in explaining the volatility of industrial production, inflation, and treasury bill rate. Conclusion: The findings suggest an increasing interdependence between the money market and equity market as well as the macroeconomic fundamentals of Bangladesh.
Feedback with carry shift registers (FCSRs) over 2-adic number would be suitable in hardware implementation, but the are not efficient in software implementation since their basic unit (the size of register clls) is 1-bit. In order to improve the efficiency we consider FCSRs over $2^{\ell}$-adic number (i.e., FCSRs with register cells of size ${\ell}$-bit) that produce ${\ell}$ bits at every clocking where ${\ell}$ will be taken as the size of normal words in modern CPUs (e.g., ${\ell}$ = 32). But, it is difficult to deal with the carry that happens when the size of summation results exceeds that of normal words. We may use long variables (declared with 'unsigned _int64' or 'unsigned long long') or conditional operators (such as 'if' statement) to handle the carry, but both the arithmetic operators over long variables and the conditional operators are not efficient comparing with simple arithmetic operators (such as shifts, maskings, xors, modular additions, etc.) over variables of size ${\ell}$-hit. In this paper, we propose some conditions for FCSRs over $2^{\ell}$-adic number which admit fast software implementations using only simple operators. Moreover, we give two implementation examples for the FCSRs. Our simulation result shows that the proposed methods are twice more efficient than usual methods using conditional operators.

We obtain means and variances of max {X, Y} and min {X, Y} in the underlying Morgenstern type bivariate uniform variables X and Y with same scale parameters and different scale parameters respectively. And we obtain the conditional expectations in the underlying Morgenstern type bivariate uniform variables. Here, we shall consider the conditional expectations to know the dependence of one variable on the other variable and we consider the behaviors of means and variances of max {X, Y} and min {X, Y} with respect to changes in means, variances, and the correlation coeffcient of the underlying Morgenstern type bivariate uniform variables.

Kendall's tau statistic has been applied to test an association of bivariate random variables. However, incomplete bivariate data with a truncation and a censoring results in incomparable or unorderable pairs. With such a partial information, Tsai (1990) suggested a conditional tau statistic and a test procedure for a quasi independence that was extended to more diverse cases such as double truncation and a semi-competing risk data. In this paper, we also employed a conditional tau statistic to estimate an association of bivariate interval censored data. The suggested method shows a better result in simulation studies than Betensky and Finkelstein's multiple imputation method except a case in cases with strong associations. The association of incubation time and infection time from an AIDS cohort study is estimated as a real data example.
Combustion of turbulent sprays in a direct injection diesel engine is modeled by the conditional moment closure (CMC) model. The CMC routines are combined with the KIVA code to provide conditional flame structures to determine mean state variables, instead of mean reaction rates. An independent transport equation is solved for each flame group with equal mass of sequentially evaporating fuel vapor. CMC calculation begins as the fuel mass for each flame group begins to evaporate with corresponding initialization conditions. Comparison is made with measured pressure traces for four operating conditions at different rpm's and injection conditions. Results show that the CMC model with multiple flame histories can successfully be applied to ignition and mixing-controlled combustion phases of a diesel engine.
A quasi ideal importance sampling simulation method combined in the conditional expectation is proposed for the structural reliability estimation. The quasi ideal importance sampling joint probability density function (p.d.f.) is so composed on the basis of the ideal importance sampling concept as to be proportional to the conditional failure probability multiplied by the p.d.f. of the sampling variables. The respective marginal p.d.f.s of the ideal importance sampling joint p.d.f. are determined numerically by the simulations and partly by the piecewise integrations. The quasi ideal importance sampling simulations combined in the conditional expectation are executed to estimate the failure probabilities of structures with multiple failure surfaces and it is shown that the proposed method gives accurate estimations efficiently.
The zone conditional two-fluid equations are derived and validated against DNS database of a premixed turbulent flame. The conditional statistics of major flow variables are investigated to understand the mechanism of flame generated turbulence. The flow field in burned zone shows substantially increased turbulent kinetic energy, which is highly anisotropic due to reaction kinematics across thin f1amelets. The transverse component may be larger than the axial component for a distributed pdf of the flamelet orientation angle, while the opposite occurs due to redistribution of turbulent kinetic energy and flamelet orientation normal to the flow at the end of a flame brush. The major source or sink terms of turbulent kinetic energy are the interfacial transfer by the mean reaction rate and the work terms by fluctuating pressure and velocity on a flame surface. Ad hoc modeling of some interfacial terms may be required for further application of the two-fluid model in turbulent combustion simulations.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the clothing consumption value and consumer satisfaction which were based on the purchase places such as department store and market, and to examine the influence of the clothing consumption value and demographic variables on the consumer satisfaction. The subjects were 364 females ranging in ages from twenties to fifties who dwelt in Seoul and in the suburbs of Seoul. Four factors of clothing consumption value derived by factor analysis: 'functional value', 'emotional value', 'epistemic value', and 'conditional value'. The clothing consumption value and satisfaction of shopping system, purchase system, and consumption system of buyers at department store showed higher than that of buyers at market. Emotional value was most important in predicting the consumer satisfaction of buyers at department store, followed by epistemic value (-) and conditional value. Conditional value was most important in predicting the satisfaction of buyers at market, followed by emotional value and the academic background of buyers. Generally the higher the emotional and conditional value, the higher the consumer satisfaction. and the consumer satisfaction was influenced by epistemic value negatively.
Mathematical formulation of the zone conditional two-fluid model is established to consider flame-generated turbulence in premixed turbulent combustion. The conditional statistics of major flow variables are investigated to understand the mechanism of flame generated turbulence. The flow field in burned zone shows substantially increased turbulent kinetic energy, which is highly anisotropic due to reaction kinematics across thin flamelets. The transverse component of rms velocities in burned zone become larger than axial component in the core of turbulent flame brush. The major source or sink terms of turbulent kinetic energy are the interfacial transfer by the mean reaction rate and the work terms by fluctuating pressure and velocity on a flame surface.
This study aimed to explore how the involvement of environment influenced eight subjects group. Thus, experiment was performed to clarify the role that the attitude of university student consumer plays in the communication process depending on the level of engagement of consumer in the environment and method to raise donation for preservation of environment. Analyzing as per the type of appeal, the mark in altruistic appeal type was higher in all variables than egoistic appeal type. Finally, checking the average mark of each variable as per the condition of donation, the value in unconditional donation was higher than in all variables than conditional donation. It was found 3 groups composed of 2 groups with high level of environmental engagement and 1 group with low level of environmental engagement were suitable to double mediation model among the 8 experimental groups. The group where double mediation model best corresponds than any other group was high level related to environment and the group that contacts altruistic appeal and the message in the form of conditional donation. It was also found that the group that has low level of environmental engagement and contacts egoistic appeal type and conditional donation shows the group that corresponds to double mediation model in the second place among the 8 groups. Finally, it was found that the group that has high level of environmental engagement and is stimulated by altruistic appeal and unconditional donation corresponds to double mediation model. Depending on the condition of message stimulation, unconditional donation is found to better correspond to double mediation model than conditional donation. However, opposite phenomena is observed when the level of environmental engagement is high and appeal type is egoistic. Namely, it was found that conditional donation better corresponds to double mediation model than unconditional donation.
