소규모 저수지의 특성을 고려한 제체 안전진단의 정량적 상태평가 기준 개선 (Improvement of Quantitative Condition Assessment Criteria for Reservoir Embankment Safety Inspection Considering Characteristics of Small Reservoirs in Korea)

  • The physical condition assessment criteria of fill dam safety inspection are now weakly regulated and inappropriate for small agricultural reservoirs since these criteria have fundamental backgrounds suitable for large-scale dams. This study proposes the degree (critical values) of defects for the quantitative condition assessment of the embankment in order to prepare the condition assessment criteria for a small reservoir with a storage capacity of less than one (1) million cubic meters. The critical values of defects were calculated by applying the method that considers the size ratios based on the dimensional data of reservoirs, and the method of statistical analysis on the measured values of the defect degree which extracted from comprehensive annual reports on reservoir safety inspection. In comparison with the current criteria, the newly proposed critical values for each condition assessment item of the reservoir embankment are presented in paragraphs 4 and 6 of the conclusion. In addition, this study presents a method of displaying geometric figures to clarify the rating classification for condition assessment items with the two defect indicators.

A Proposal of Hazard/Risk Assessment Criteria and an Asbestos Management Method for Asbestos-containing Building Materials

  • Objectives: The AHERA method by the US EPA, ASTM E2356-04, and HSG264 by the UK HSE, all of which are hazard/risk assessment methods for asbestos-containing building materials, were reviewed and compared based on 231 homogeneous areas. In addition, the current Act on Asbestos Safety Management (enforcement: April 29, 2012) was reviewed and analyzed. This trial provided fundamental data for improving the current asbestos hazard/risk assessment method. Methods: For the hazard/risk assessment of 77 asbestos-containing public buildings including schools, 231 homogeneous areas were selected, each of which was assessed using AHERA, ASTM E2356-04, and HSG264. Results: The matching rate of the hazard/risk assessment stood at 20.4 percent between AHERA and ASTM, at 71.4 percent between AHERA and HSG264 and at 17.8 percent between ASTM and HSG264. The AHERA method includes a seven-category rating scale. There were three categories, two of which have three subcategories. ASTM provides two decision-making charts consisting of ten rating scales for current condition estimation and for potential for disturbance estimation. In addition, the HSG264 method has a total of 20 scores with four items, and then provides four grades. This HSG264 method cannot clearly separate current condition and potential for disturbance. Conclusions: In the Korean Act on Asbestos Safety Management, the hazard/risk assessment method for asbestos-containing building materials should consider balance between current condition estimation and the potential for disturbance estimation.

지질 조건을 고려한 RMR 인자값 추정을 위한 선형회귀식 제안 (Suggestion of Regression Equations for Estimating RMR Factor Rating by Geological Condition)

  • 일반적으로 국내에서 터널의 지보 설계를 위한 암반분류법으로는 RMR 분류가 사용된다. 터널 시공 중 예비조사계획을 보온하고 노선을 따른 연속적인 지반 정보를 획득하기 위해 막장관찰과 동시에 RMR을 통한 암반분류가 시행된다. 하지만 국내 터널 시공 여건 상 조사를 위한 충분한 시간이 보장되지 않으며, 때로는 막장에서의 직접 관찰이 불가능 한 경우가 많다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 RMR 항목 중 상대적으로 조사 시간이 길며 세밀한 관찰이 요구되는 RQD와 불연속면 상태 항목의 배점을 추정하기 위한 선형회귀분석을 수행하였으며, 그 결과 최적 회귀식을 산정 하였다. 또한 기존 연구에서 고려하지 않은 지질조건을 반영하기 위해, 퇴적암, 천매암, 화강암을 기반으로 하는 터널의 데이터를 각각 구분하여 분석하였다. 추정을 위한 변수로는 다른 RMR 항목을 대상으로 선정하였으며, 이들 간의 선형회귀분석을 통해 최종 회귀식을 산정하였다.

  • 터널 시공 중 막장관찰과 계측자료는 굴착으로 인하여 발생하는 지반 및 주변 구조물의 안정성 평가를 위한 가장 중요한 정보이다. 특히, 발파 굴착으로 이루어지는 NATM 공법에서 막장관찰과 계측은 다음 막장의 굴착 및 지보설계를 위한 핵심자료로 활용이 된다. 하지만, 국내에는 암반분류 결과와 계측결과의 관계에 대한 연구가 많이 부족하여 굴착 및 지보설계에 제대로 활용되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 막장관찰에 의한 암반분류 중 국내외에서 가장 많이 사용되는 RMR 분류법과 내공변위 계측결과의 분석을 통해 지질상태의 변화가 터널의 거동에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 내공변위의 계측위치와 계측 시점에 따른 변위 측정 편차를 변위 함수를 이용해 보정하였으며, 이를 통해 내공변위의 영향선과 지반조건의 관계를 고찰하였다. 또한 변위 함수 파라미터와 초기변위 발생비율 등 내공변위와 관련된 다양한 요소들의 지반조건에 따른 변화양상을 파악함으로써 막장관찰 및 내공변위 계측을 통한 지반 평가의 기초자료를 제시하고자 하였다.

교량의 외관 조사에 의한 상태평가기준 개선안 (Improved Criteria for Condition Assessment of Bridges Based on Visual Inspection)

  • The condition assessment of bridges is one of the important procedures in the safety evaluation of the structures. The current inspection guideline is rather ambiguous and vague so that the inspection results based on the existing guidelines are highly subjective and varing from person to person and even day to day for a given person. It is therefore, necessary to improve the current inspection criteria in order to provide consistent results in safety assessment. To circumvent possible inconsistencies in inspection and rating of bridge components, the revised criteria have been proposed in this study. The proposed guideline and criteria may be efficiently used for the realistic and consistent assessment of bridge structures.

전기비저항탐사결과와 터널막장 암반분류의 상관성 검토 (A study on the Correlation Between the Result of Electrical Resistivity Survey and the Rock Mass Classification Values Determined by the Tunnel Face Mapping)

  • 최근의 터널설계에 있어서 지보패턴 선정시 전기비저항탐사 결과를 효과적으로 황용하기 위하여 전기비 저항 역산결과와 암반분류와의 상관관계를 도출해 내고자 하는 시도가 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 전기비저항탐사결과를 고려한 예상지보패턴과 실제로 시공된 지보패턴 결과를 비교한 연구는 찾아보기 힘들다. 본 연구에서는 실제 터널굴진 상태에서 막장관찰에 기초한 암반분류 및 지보패턴 선정과 시공 전 수행한 전기비저항 탐사자료를 비교함으로씨 전기비저항 탐사 결과가 어느 정도의 신뢰도로 이용될 수 있는가를 살펴보고자 한다. 전기비저항 자료와 암반분류의 정량적인 상관성을 얻기 위하여 암반분류값으로 RMR(Rock mass rating)을 기본으로, RCR(rock condition rating), N(Rock mass number), Q-system 등을 이용하였다. 전기비저항탐사는 공간적 해상도가 낮기 때문에 후처리 과정으로 크리깅 기법을 사용하여 해상도를 향상시키고자 하였다. 상관도 분석 결과, 2차원 전기비저항탐사결과는 정성적인 경향을 살펴보는데 적합한 것으로 나타났다 3차원 전기비저항탐사 결과와의 상관관계는 매우 높은 것으로 나타나 신뢰도 높은 암반분류에 적용 가능하리라 예상된다.

Condition assessment model for residential road networks

  • While the pavement rating system is being utilized for periodic road condition assessment in the Eastern Region municipality of Saudi Arabia, the condition assessment is costly, time-consuming, and not comprehensive as only few parts of the road are randomly selected for the assessment. Thus, this study is aimed at developing a condition assessment model for a specific sample of a residential road network in Dammam City based on an individual road and a road network. The model was developed using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) according to the defect types and their levels of severity. The defects were arranged according to four categories: structure, construction, environmental, and miscellaneous, which was adopted from sewer condition coding systems. The developed model was validated by municipality experts and was adjudged to be acceptable and more economical compared to results from the Eastern region municipality (Saudi Arabia) model. The outcome of this paper can assist with the allocation of the government's budget for maintenance and capital programs across all Saudi municipalities through maintaining road infrastructure assets at the required level of services.

수위유량곡선보정방법에 대하여 (A Method of Rating Curve Adjustment)

  • With the use of many rivers increased nearly to the capacity, the need for information concerning daily quantities of water and the total annual or seasonal runoff has became increased. A systematic record of the flow of a river is commonly made in terms of the mean daily discharge Since. a single observation of stage is converted into discharge by means of rating curve, it is essential that the stage discharge relations shall be accurately established. All rating curves have the looping effect due chiefly to channel storage and variation in surface slope. Loop rating curves are most characteristic on streams with somewhat flatter gradients and more constricted channels. The great majority of gauge readings are taken by unskilled observers once a day without any indication of whether the stage is rising or falling. Therefore, normal rating curves shall show one discharge for one gauge height, regardless of falling or rising stage. The above reasons call for the correction of the discharge measurements taken on either side of flood waves to the theoretical steady-state condition. The correction of the discharge measurement is to consider channel storage and variation in surface slope. (1) Channel storage As the surface elevation of a river rises, water is temporarily stored in the river channel. There fore, the actual discharge at the control section can be attained by substracting the rate of change of storage from the measured discharge. (2) Variation in surface slope From the Manning equation, the steady state discharge Q in a channel of given roughness and cross-section, is given as {{{{Q PROPTO SQRT { 1} }}}} When the slope is not equal, the actual discharge will be {{{{ { Q}_{r CDOT f } PROPTO SQRT { 1 +- TRIANGLE I} CDOT TRIANGLE I }}}} may be expressed in the form of {{{{ TRIANGLE I= { dh/dt} over {c } }}}} and the celerity is approximately equal to 1.3 times the mean watrr velocity. A rating curve may be drawn as a median line through the uncorrected values. The values of {{{{ { 1} over {cI } }}}} can be yielded from the measured quantities of Qr$.$f and dh/dt by use of Eq. (7) and (8). From the 1/cI v. stage relationship, new vlues of 1/cI are obtained and inserted in Eq. (7) and (8) to yield the steady-state discharge Q. The new values of Q are then plotted against stage as the corrected steadystate curve.

콘크리트 포장상태 평가지수의 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of the Concrete Pavement Condition Index)

  • 포장의 합리적 유지관리를 위해서는 기본적으로 포장의 상태를 객관적으로 평가하고, 평가한 자료를 이용하여 경제성 분석을 실시함으로써 최적의 보수공법 및 보수우선순위를 결정해야 한다. 전체적인 포장 상태를 객관적으로 평가하기 위해서는 포장상태 평가지수와 같은 단일화된 평가 기준이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 우리나라 고속도로 콘크리트 포장에 적합한 포장상태 평가지수를 개발하기 위하여 현장 상세조사 및 포장평가위원회의 평가를 실시하고, 그 결과의 회귀분석을 통해 포장평가지수를 개발하였다. 또한 개발된 포장평가지수를 이용하여 포장유지관리에서 이용되기 위한 보수공법그룹을 제시하였다. 개발된 포장평가지수의 상관계수는 0.68이었으며, 콘크리트 포장평가지수에 사용된 독립변수들은 종단평탄성, 균열, 패칭 등이었다.

  • This paper describes an optimal design method of VSI output filter for CVCF system. The cost function is used for design, and all parameters are described in p.u(per unit) so that can be adapted to the change of CVCF rating. The capacitor current feedback scheme is proposed to control the damping ratio of the filter plant to meet the system more stable. This means that the LC resonance can be suppressed well in transient condition and can use the same control gains under the change of system capacity. The validity of the proposed method is well verified with the theoretical analysis and simulation results.
