순환식 병류형 유채씨 건조 시뮬레이션 (Circulating Concurrent-flow Drying Simulation of Rapeseed)

  • In this study, computer simulations were conducted to assess the use of a circulating concurrent-flow dryer for rapeseed drying and to determined the effect of this drying method on the germination ratio of rapeseed after the drying process was complete. The simultaneous heat and mass transfer between air and rapeseed in a concurrent-flow dryer was examined by simulation. The drying simulation was based on several parameters with sequent time series. Equations concerning air psychrometrics, physical properties, thermal properties, equilibrium moisture content, thin layer drying of rapeseed, etc. were all combined to solve the simulation models. Based on energy and mass transfer in the concurrent-flow drying model, a simulation program for the circulating concurrent-flow rapeseed dryer was built along with a detailed description of the mathematical solution to the model. A pilot scale circulating concurrent-flow dryer(200 kg/batch) was used to verify the fitness of the simulation program. A comparison between the experimental data and the model predicted results was presented and discussed. The drying parameters and germination ratio were analyzed and the accuracy of the simulation program was evaluated. The simulation program proved to be reliable and was shown to be a convenient tool for predicting rapeseed drying and germination ratio of rapeseed in a concurrent-flow dryer.

EPS 제어시스템 장착 승용차의 통합적 시뮬레이션 기법 연구 (Simulation Integration Technique of a Full Vehicle Equipped with EPS Control System)

  • Electric Power Steering (EPS) mechanism has become widely equipped in passenger vehicle due to the increasing environmental concerns and higher fuel efficiency. This paper describes the development of concurrent simulation technique and simulation integration technique of EPS control system with a dynamic vehicle system. A full vehicle model interacting with EPS control algorithm was concurrently simulated on a single bump road condition. The dynamic responses of vehicle chassis and steering system resulting from road surface impact were evaluated and compared with proving ground experimental data. The comparisons show reasonable agreement on tie-rod load, rack displacement, steering wheel torque and tire center acceleration. This concurrent simulation capability was employed fur EPS performance evaluation and calibration as well as for vehicle handling performance integration and synthesis.

  • Traditional External Insulation Finishing System(EIFS) is applied to apartment construction by performing structural framework and insulation finishing work sequentially. Separate execution of the three works increases construction cost and duration. Concurrent construction method of EIFS, which performs framework and insulation finishing work simultaneously, is introduced in order to solve these problems. However, the introduced method is exposed to the risk of construction delay caused by bottlenecks due to interacting processes and resources. Therefore, this paper presents a simulation model suitable for estimating work productivity of the concurrent construction by considering predecessor and successor processes to optimize resource allocation and minimize construction delay.

  • In various applications of queueing systems, admission control is often employed. It is known that the threshold-type of admission control is optimal in many practical applications despite its simplicity. However, determining the optimal threshold value is hard in general, because analytical expressions for the stationary queue length distributions are not easily available in most queueing systems. In this paper, to quickly determine the optimal threshold value under threshold-type admission control, we develop a concurrent simulation technique, which can save large amount of CPU time required in simulation, compared to the standard simulation procedure.

  • Fault simulation for large and complex sequential circuits is highly cpu-intensive task in the intergrated circuit design process. In this paper, we propose CM-SIM, a concurrent fault simulator which employs an optimal memory management strategy and simple list operations. CM-SIM removes inefficiencies and uses new dynamic memory management strategies, using contiguous array memory. Consequently, we got improved performance and reduced memory usage in concurrent fault simulation.

  • As Temporal DataBase Systems(TDBSs) manages both the historical versions and the current version of each data item, a temporal transaction may access more data records than atransaction in traditional database systems. Hence, the concurrency control subsystem of temporaldatabase management system should be able to correctly and efficiently detect actual conflicts amongconcurrent temporal transactions while the cost of detecting conflicts is maintained in low levelwithout detecting false conflicts which cause severe degradation of system throughput.In this paper, Two-Level Conflict Detection(TLCD) scheme is proposed for efficient conflictdetection between concurrent temporal transactions in TDBs. In the proposed TLCD scheme, sincechecking conflict between concurrent temporal transactions is performed at two levels, i, e., logicallevel and physical level, conflicts between concurrent temporal transactions are efficiently and correctlydetected,Furthermore, we also evaluate the performance of the proposed TLCD scheme with those oftraditional conflict detection schemes, logical-level conflict detection scheme and physical-level conflictdetection scheme by simulation approach, The result of the simulation study shows that the proposedTLCD scheme outperforms the previous conflict detection schemes with respect to the averageresponse time.

매트랩 CMDPS와 카심 기반 완전차량모델의 동시시뮬레이션 기술에 관한 연구 (Study on Concurrent Simulation Technique of Matlab CMDPS and A CarSim Base Full Car Model)

  • 칼럼 타입의 전동조향장치(MDPS) 시스템은 차량 안전성과 연료 효율 향상을 보장하기에 승용차에 보편적으로 장착하고 있다. 시스템 해석과 제어기 개발을 위해서는 보통 Mechanical Simulation사에서 제작한 CarSim 프로그램과 매트랩 시뮬링크의 두 프로그램을 이용하여 제어 알고리즘과 차량 모델이 결합되어 하나의 시스템처럼 동시에 동작하도록 시뮬레이션을 수행한다. 매트랩 시뮬링크의 MDPS 제어 시스템과 완전 차량 모델의 동시시뮬레이션 기술개발에 대한 구체적이 방법이 소개된 적이 없기에 본 연구에서 상세히 소개하기로 한다. 본 연구에서는 사인 파형의 조향핸들입력을 이용한 시뮬레이션 결과가 보여 지고 실험결과와 잘 비교되었다. 이러한 동시시뮬레이션 기술은 차량의 핸들링 성능 평가나 CMDPS 평가 수행 및 로직 튜닝을 위해 효과적으로 사용될 수 있다.

건설공사 설계단계에서의 동시공학 적용을 위한 시뮬레이션 모델 (A Simulation Model for the Application of Concurrent Engineering to Design Phase in Construction)

  • 동시공학 연구는 최근까지 국내에서 인식이 부족하여 잘 활용되지 못하였고 다만 패스트 트랙에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 그러나 본 연구는 기존의 패스트 트랙 방법에서 정량적인 분석과 논리적으로 증명 및 평가하는 연구가 미비하다고 판단하여, 상위 개념인 동시공학 방법을 분석하였다. 설계단계에서 정성적인 분석이 아닌 실제 예제를 통하여 정량적인 자료를 이용하여 각 공정별 중첩이 전체 프로젝트에 미치는 영향을 명확하게 보여주는 분석방법을 제시하였다. 시뮬레이션 기법을 이용한 정량적인 분석방법을 통하여 실제 분석 결과를 가지고 의사결정에 참고 자료로 활용이 가능하도록 하였다. 사례분석 결과 중첩 비율별 공기 비용 간의 관계를 알 수 있었고 중첩 비율별 값을 가지고 공기 비용간의 정량적인 분석을 통해 최적점을 제시함으로서 의사결정이 가능토록 하였다.

순환식 병류형 곡물건조기 개발(II) - 시뮬레이션모델의 검증 - (Development of a Rice Circulating Concurrent-flow Dryer(II) - Validation of Drying Simulation Model -)

  • This study was performed to develop a simulation model of circulating concurrent-flow rice dryer. The simulation model consists of drying model, tempering model and crack prediction model. The drying and tempering models were developed based on mathematical analysis, and the crack prediction model was developed by thin layer drying tests. Rice drying tests were done with three replications by use of a pilot scale dryer of holding capacity of 700 kg. Experimental values for moisture content, rice temperature, rice crack, and drying energy were compared with predicted values by simulation model. The RMSEs of predicted moisture contents were ranged from 0.5807% (d.b.) to 1.1951% (d.b.). and the coefficients of determination were 0.9688 to 0.9812. The RMSEs of predicted rice temperatures at the exit of the drying chamber were 1.83 to $3.81^{\circ}C$ and the coefficients of determination were 0.8834 to 0.9482. The results for moisture contents and rice temperatures showed very good relationships between predicted values and experimental values. The RMSEs of predicted value of crack ratio were 0.4082 to 0.7967% and the coefficients of determination were 0.8742 to 0.9547.

  • Recently, the rapid evolution of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) has enabled its key role in industries and predictive sciences. From diverse research disciplines, however, are there strong needs for integrated analytical tools for multi-phenomena beyond simple flow simulation. Based on the concurrent simulation of multi-dynamics, multi-phenomena beyond simple flow simulation. Based on the concurrent simulation of multi-dynamics, multi-physics and multi-scale phenomena, the multi-phenomena CFD technology enables us to perform the flow simulation for integrated and complex systems. From the multi-phenomena CFD analysis, the high-precision analytical and predictive capacity can enhance the fast development of industrial technologies. It is also expected to further enhance the applicability of the simulation technique to medical and bio technology, new and renewable energy, nanotechnology, and scientific computing, among others.
