Recent destructive seismic events demonstrated the importance of mitigating human casualties and serious property damages in design and construction of structures. The Korean Bridge Design Specifications (1992) adopted seismic design requirements based on the AASHTO specification, and minor modification was made in 2000. The longitudinal steel connection of reinforced concrete bridge column is sometimes practically unavoidable. The longitudinal reinforcement details affect seisimc performance such as flexural failure and shear failure. This research aims to develop longitudinal steel connection details with confinement steel by experimental study for seismic performance of reinforced concrete bridge columns. Quasi-static test under three different axial load levels was conducted for 12 spiral column specimens. All the column specimens had the same aspect ratio of 3.5. The column specimens were transversely reinforced with spiral and with five different longitudinal steel connection. The final objective of this study is to suggest appropriate longitudinal reinforcement connection details for the limited ductility design concept and improve construction quality.

ISDN 베어러 서비스의 일반적 형태인 가입자간 일대일 접속을 벗어나 다수의 가입자간에 동시 접속을 제공하며 접속상의 텔리 서비스를 제어할 수 있는 새로운 통신망 요소로서 서비스노드의 개념을 제안하였다. 이러한 개념이 실현될 경우 ISDN에 접속된 비특정 다자간 회의형 멀티미디어 서비스 제공이 가능한 것이다. 이에대한 일차 연구로서 본 논문에서는 일반적인 회의형 멀티미디어 서비스 제공이 가능할 것이다. 이에대한 일차 연구로서 본 논문에서는 일반적인 회의형 서비스의 속성을 도출하고 이를 ISDN으로 제공키 위해 요구되는 절차와 방법에 대해 검토 하였다. 이를 바탕으로 서비스노드가 갖추어야할 일반 요구사항을 정의하고 구조를 제시함으로써 서비스노드 개념을 구체화 하였다.

확률과 통계에서 사건의 독립 개념은 중요하고 유용한 역할을 한다. 본 논문에서는 중등 학교에서의 사건의 독립에 대하여 조사하고, 사건의 독립과 관련된 수학 개념을 어느 정도 알고 있는지 알아보았다. 그 결과 학생들은 사건의 독립과 관련된 하위 개념에 대한 이해가 부족하고, 사건의 독립과 관련된 개념들 간의 연결이 부분적으로 나타나 하위 개념과 상위 개념들 간의 연결이 잘 이루어 질 수 있도록 지도가 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

This paper focuses on a network model for GCTs which can be used to investigate high power circuits with or without using RC-snubbers. The series connection of GCTs is commonly applied in the high power inverter field. Here expensive and space-consuming snubbers are applied, to overcome the problem of an asymmetric distribution of the blocking voltage among the single GCTs. As an alternative to large snubbers, a new active gate drive concept is proposed and investigated by simulation.

The evolved energy concept has been demonstrated to fir the seismic evaluation of various steel connection details with the objective basis. For this, the strain energy stored in the structural system obtained from the experimental database has been normalized by that of a benchmark system. In this notion, the ideal elastic-perfectly plastic structural system has been assumed as a benchmark. In addition, the attempt shows that those previously peformed experimental database can be recycled to have further significance.

In this paper, the connection and convergence between mathematics and science (physics) concepts were investigated. In addition, methods to closely analyze the degree of mathematics and science (physics) learning were looked into. Furthermore, methods to express and analyze the learning states of individual learners were investigated and a plan to organize educational programs was sought.

ISDN에서 다자간 동시 접속을 통하여 회의형 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 새로운 통신망 요소로서 서비스노드의 개념을 선행 연구로 제안한 바 있다. 본 연구에서는 앞서 제안한 서비스노드의 개념, 절차, 기능 및 구조 등을 바탕으로 다자간 접속 서비스시스팀(서비스노드 및 단말)을 설계하는 한편, 이를 토대로 다자간 호접속 기능과 음성 서비스를 제어 기능만을 갖는 소규모 실험 모델을 제작하여 시험함으로써 이러한 개념의 적정성과 설정한 절차의 타당성을 검증하였다. 본 연구에서의 실험 모델은 전체적인 기능 확인 측면에 역점을 두고 4 가입자 규모의 서비스노드 에뮬레이터 및 범용 S-인터페이스 카드를 이용한 서비스 노드용 단말로 구성하였으며, 이에 대한 기능 확인 시험을 통하여 호 처리 관련 기능 절차, 다자간 음성 서비스 제어 기능 등이 원활히 수행될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

학습에 영향을 끼치는 요인은 크게 학습자특성변인, 교수자특성변인, 학습과제특성변인, 환경특성변인으로 구분하여 논의해 볼 수 있는데, 이 요소들 중에서도 학습자의 특성을 파악하는 것이 교육 계획을 작성하기 위해 가장 우선적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다. 이에 본 연구는 학습자의 특성 중 정의적 특성인 자아개념 학습습관 학습태도가 수학학업성취에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해 알아보고 초등학생의 학업 성취 및 태도에 관한 교육 방법으로 모색하도록 하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 충청남도 A 시에 위치한 초등학교 5학년 2개반 78명을 대상으로 질문지 검사를 실시하였다. 그 결과 수학에 대한 자아개념, 학업에 대한 자아개념, 수학에 대한 학습습관, 수학에 대한 태도, 학업 에 대한 학습습관, 학업에 대한 태도 순으로 수학학업성취와 상관정도가 높음을 알 수 있었다.

Chung and et al. ([2].1991) introduced a new concept of a manifold, denoted by $^{\ast}g-SEX_n$, in Einstein's n-dimensional $^{\ast}g$-unified field theory. The manifold $^{\ast}g-SEX_n$ is a generalized n-dimensional Riemannian manifold on which the differential geometric structure is imposed by the unified field tensor $^{\ast}g^{\lambda \nu}$ through the SE-connection which is both Einstein and semi-symmetric. In this paper, they proved a necessary and sufficient condition for the unique existence of SE-connection and sufficient condition for the unique existence of SE-connection and presented a beautiful and surveyable tensorial representation of the SE-connection in terms of the tensor $^{\ast}g^{\lambda \nu}$. Recently, Chung and et al.([3],1998) obtained a concise tensorial representation of SE-curvature tensor defined by the SE-connection of $^{\ast}g-SEX_n$ and proved deveral identities involving it. This paper is a direct continuations of [3]. In this paper we derive surveyable tensorial representations of constracted curvature tensors of $^{\ast}g-SEX_n$ and prove several generalized identities involving them. In particular, the first variation of the generalized Bianchi's identity in $^{\ast}g-SEX_n$, proved in theorem (2.10a), has a great deal of useful physical applications.

The concept of horizontal shear connection utilization on wood-concrete beams intends to be an alternative connection detail for composite wood-concrete decks. The volume of sawn-wood is over three times more expensive than concrete, in Brazil. In order to be competitive in the Brazilian market we need a composite deck with the least amount of wood and a simple and inexpensive connection detail. This research project uses medium to high density tropical hardwoods managed from the Brazilian Amazon region and construction steel rods. The beams studied are composed of a bottom layer of staggered wood boards and a top layer of concrete. The wood members are laterally nailed together to form a wide beam, and horizontal rebar connectors are installed before the concrete layer is applied on top. Two sets of wood-concrete layered beams with horizontal rebar connectors (6 and 8) were tested in third-point loading flexural bending. The initial results reveal medium composite efficiency for the beams tested. An improvement on the previously conceived connection detail (set with six connectors) for the composite wood-concrete structural floor system was achieved by the set with eight connectors. The new layout of the horizontal rebar connectors added higher composite efficiency for the beams tested. Further analysis with advanced rigorous numerical Finite Element Modeling is suggested to optimize the connection parameters. Composite wood-concrete decks can attend a large demand for pedestrian bridges, as well as residential and commercial slabs in the Brazilian Amazon.
