The purpose of this is to understand the concept of Sacho on the basis of 'Sa-Sang philosophy(四象哲學)'. In oder to achieve this purpose, Sanjiao and Sacho were investigated, centering on the philophicalbasis, region. action. The conclusion would be summerized as follows. 1. Viewed in the light of a philosophical basis, Sanjiao is first recorded in Nae-Kyung(內經), a concept that Yin-Yang(陰陽), Oh-Hang(五行) in Nae-Kyung Medcine, the cosmos's order and it's moving rule could be directly applied to human body. On the contrary Sacho is a term first used by Lee Jae-Ma, a human-oriented concept that formed in Confucianism system. based on Sa-Sang type classifying in Sa-Sang Medicine. 2. Viewd in the light of a region, the upper part of Sacho is similar to the upper-jiao of Sanjiao, the mid-upper part of Sacha to the middle-jiao of Sanjiao, the mid-lower and the lower parts of Sacha to the lower-jiao of Sanjiao. But these regions are not equal to anatomical regions. Sanjiao and Sacha is similar concept from the view point of the upper and lower oder, but Sanjiao has only a concept of the upper and lower order, doesn't have a concept of the front and the rear, inside and outside. 3. Viewed in the light of a action, Sanjiao and Sacho is a similar concept from the view point of a large boundary in the life activity.Sanjiao explains the region of human body, setting imfortance on the viscera physiology, on the contrary Sacho explains the whole function of human body including one's heart's desire, physical constitution and the visceral physiolosy. 4. Viewed in the light of produsing-wasting activity. sanjiao and Sacho have both produsing action and wasting action. but Sacho has a more concrete concept of produsing action by using a term-Sa Hae(四海) 5. Viewed in the light of vital energy(氣)'s action, Sajiao give the first consideration to the rising and falling action of vital energy, on the contrary Sacho give the first consideration to the transversal circulation of vital energy and the deviation of it in each part. According to the above results, Sacho must be discussed separately from Sanjiao, it is recommended that further study is necessary to understand the concept of Sacho on the basis of Sa-Sang philosophy.
Clustering is a process of grouping similar or relevant documents into a cluster and assigning a meaningful concept to the cluster. By this process, clustering facilitates fast and correct search for the relevant documents by narrowing down the range of searching only to the collection of documents belonging to related clusters. For effective clustering, techniques are required for identifying similar documents and grouping them into a cluster, and discovering a concept that is most relevant to the cluster. One of the problems often appearing in this context is the detection of a complex concept that overlaps with several simple concepts at the same hierarchical level. Previous clustering methods were unable to identify and represent a complex concept that belongs to several different clusters at the same level in the concept hierarchy, and also could not validate the semantic hierarchical relationship between a complex concept and each of simple concepts. In order to solve these problems, this paper proposes a new clustering method that identifies and represents complex concepts efficiently. We developed the Hierarchical Overlapping Clustering (HOC) algorithm that modified the traditional Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering algorithm to allow overlapped clusters at the same level in the concept hierarchy. The HOC algorithm represents the clustering result not by a tree but by a lattice to detect complex concepts. We developed a system that employs the HOC algorithm to carry out the goal of complex concept detection. This system operates in three phases; 1) the preprocessing of documents, 2) the clustering using the HOC algorithm, and 3) the validation of semantic hierarchical relationships among the concepts in the lattice obtained as a result of clustering. The preprocessing phase represents the documents as x-y coordinate values in a 2-dimensional space by considering the weights of terms appearing in the documents. First, it goes through some refinement process by applying stopwords removal and stemming to extract index terms. Then, each index term is assigned a TF-IDF weight value and the x-y coordinate value for each document is determined by combining the TF-IDF values of the terms in it. The clustering phase uses the HOC algorithm in which the similarity between the documents is calculated by applying the Euclidean distance method. Initially, a cluster is generated for each document by grouping those documents that are closest to it. Then, the distance between any two clusters is measured, grouping the closest clusters as a new cluster. This process is repeated until the root cluster is generated. In the validation phase, the feature selection method is applied to validate the appropriateness of the cluster concepts built by the HOC algorithm to see if they have meaningful hierarchical relationships. Feature selection is a method of extracting key features from a document by identifying and assigning weight values to important and representative terms in the document. In order to correctly select key features, a method is needed to determine how each term contributes to the class of the document. Among several methods achieving this goal, this paper adopted the $x^2$ statistics, which measures the dependency degree of a term t to a class c, and represents the relationship between t and c by a numerical value. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the HOC algorithm, a series of performance evaluation is carried out by using a well-known Reuter-21578 news collection. The result of performance evaluation showed that the HOC algorithm greatly contributes to detecting and producing complex concepts by generating the concept hierarchy in a lattice structure.
The paradigm of the corporate innovations has been changed from the intra-company innovations to the inter-company innovations. A prevalent approach to the inter-company innovations is the supply chain management. Three key words of the core concept of supply chain management are the long-term relationship, resource integration, and value creation. Specifically, it means that the supply chain management aims to make value creation through the resource integration for the supply chain entities, based on the long-term relationship between buyers and sellers. To make more effective long-term relationship among the supply chain entities, it is very important for the supply chain entities to analyze followings: i) What variables can influence the long-term relationship, ii) How these variables can influence to the long-term relationship. However, previous researches mostly deals the long-term relationship in the marketing area in fragment, and thus few research efforts have been done for the development of conceptual model using supply chain management theories. In contrast to previous studies, our research tried to develop and examine the integrative research model by introducing both the marketing theories and the supply chain management theories, and thus related hypotheses are derived. A multiple regression analysis was performed to examine the influence of the antecedents of the long-term relationship, for the 87 retailers of grocery supply chains. The empirical results confirm that cultural similarity, reputation, interdependency, and trust positively influence long-term relationship (i.e., partnership orientation and partnership symmetry). And results also confirm that the supply implementation factors such as organization integration, information system integration, and process integration playa moderating role between antecedents and long-term relationship. These findings suggest that companies should perceive the importance of managing the process, organization, information system integration in the long-term relationship implementation process as well as the factors such as cultural similarity, reputation, interdependency, and trust in the long-term relationship establishment process.
Objective: Interests in integrative medicine and CAM(Complementary and Alternative Medicine) are on the rise. However, the term 'integrative medicine' is often confused with the concept of CAM. This paper aims at clarifying the concept of integrative medicine. Methods: The definition, concept, and research methods used to explain integrative medicine have been inquired into. Also, the differences between the researches on integrative medicine and those on CAM have been studied. Moreover, domestic researches regarding integrative medicine have been analyzed. Results: The concept of integrative medicine was born in order to create a more patient-centered medicine by actively accommodating the medical system classified as CAM. The biggest difference that discriminates integrative medicine from CAM is the fact that integrative medicine does not depend solely on establishing its grounds through the process of RCT(Randomized Controlled Trial). Conclusion: Domestic researches regarding integrative medicine naturally leads to the concept of unification of medicine, but they do not concern the original meaning of integrative medicine. It is only after active discussions on the meaning, philosophical backgrounds, and research methods of integrative medicine become possible that a truly patient-oriented medicine will be realized.
In this article, the concept of body fluid is explained in three aspects: the word meaning of body fluid, the origins of the definitions of the body fluid concept and the connotation and extension of body fluid. Investigating data about the time Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經) was written, the author discovers that the meaning of "Aek(液)" is clear, but there are still questions about the meaning of "Jin(津)". The concept of body fluid derived from observation of life phenomenon and ancient philosophy on the "water". The concept of body fluid should be expressed as that body fluid is a general term for all normal liquids in the body. Within the meridians, as the composition of blood components; outside the meridians, constituting the intrinsic body fluids of various organs and tissues. This is the main part of body fluid, coming from diet, constituting the human body and maintaining human life activities, playing the roles of moistening and nourishing various of organs and tissues of the body. In addition, Interstitial fluid, all kinds of normal liquid secretion and metabolic products, such as sweat, tears, nasal discharge, saliva, slobber, gastric juice, intestinal fluid, urine, joint fluid, latex and so on, both belong to body fluid.
Purpose of this paper is to review series of Limits to Growth studies from its original Rome Club Report published in 1972 to the most recent one in 2012 by Jorgen Randers and finds its implications on concept and strategy of sustainable development. For this purpose first, this paper reviewed series of Limits to Growth studies in details with focus on scenarios used in simulation of world model. Second, response to the original Limit to Growth was reviewed and to see validity of its scenario based simulations, simulated results of interest variables and actual historical data up to the year 2010 was compared. Third, structure and key arguments in both studies, Limit to Growth studies and Our Common Future was explained and compared. Finally, implications of the Limit to Growth studies on concept and strategy for sustainable development was discussed. Based on the comparison, this paper argued that even if the term sustainable development was not used in the Limit to Growth at all, concept and strategies for sustainable development implied in the Limit to Growth are more clear and specific than those of Our Common Future. Since Limit to Growth studies were simulation based ones that produce detailed behaviors on interest variables, it clarifies more clearly the abstract concept of sustainable development and thus, provides specific guidelines for the direction of sustainable policy which has been suffering long from vagueness of concept of sustainable development.
In this paper, we design and implement E-COIRS enabling users to query with concepts and image features used for further refining the concepts. For example, E-COIRS supports the query "retrieve images containing black home appliance to north of reception set. "The query includes two types of concepts: IS-A and composite. "home appliance"is an IS-A concept, and "reception set" is a composite concept. For evaluating such a query. E-COIRS includes three important components: a visual image indexer, thesauri and a query processor. Each pair of objects in an mage captured by the visual image indexer is converted into a triple. The triple consists of the two object identifiers (oids) and their spatial relationship. All the features of an object is referenced by its old. A composite concept is detected by the triple thesaurus and IS-A concept is recolonized by the fuzzy term thesaurus. The query processor obtains an image set by matching each triple in a user with an inverted file and CS-Tree. To support efficient storage use and fast retrieval on high-dimensional feature vectors, E-COIRS uses Cell-based Signature tree(CS-Tree). E-COIRS is a more advanced content-based image retrieval system than other systems which support only concepts or image features.
Purpose: The goal of this study was to define and clarify the concept of 'rehabilitation' of stroke patients in the elderly. Method: For analyzing the concept of rehabilitation, this study used the hybrid model, which involves an in depth interview six stroke patients. Result: The concept of rehabilitation of patients with a stroke condition can be categorized with two dimensions; overcoming, new recovery aspects. Besides, three attributes and twelve indicators were analyzed. The concept of rehabilitation of patients with a stroke condition can be expressed as one of the following processes; It can be said that it is a process of accepting and overcoming one's physical limitations in order to overcome, and to grow resilience by making a leap from crisis to recovery with inner enforcement in dimension of new recovery. Conclusion: The rehabilitation is important for stroke conditioned patients in order to control their disease in the long term. The attributes and indicators drawn by this study could be used for tool development and useful resources of rehabilitation competence for stroke conditioned patients.
Objectives : Although interest in preventive medicine has increased recently, "Mibyeong", the preventive concept of Korean medicine, is still unfamiliar to the general public. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the concept of Mibyeong and users used on the Internet. Methods : Naver (www.naver.com), which has the highest ranking in terms of market share, number of visitors, search time share, and community category share, has been selected as a search target and jisik-iN Q&A and posts of cafe about Mibyeong were searched for recently approximately 6 years. Results : 105 cases of Jisik-iN Q&A and 283 cases of cafe posts were searched. Overall, the number of Jisik-iN Q&A and cafe posts's Mibyeong term usage was the highest in 2013. In the Internet user category, Mibyeong Term was used most commonly in the Jisik-iN Q&A by Korean medicine related medical personnel (29 cases, 28%) and in the cafe other health-related workers (87cases, 31%). In Mibyeong related cafe classification, Information Exchange (220 cases, 77%) was the most frequent and besides 39 cases (14%) used in Operation of Medical Institutions. And the concept of Mibyeong was often used as symptom-based rather than diagnostic test or disease (Cafe posts 52%, Jisik-iN Q&A 70%), in particular, topic of Mibyeong related Jisik-iN Q&A was used in the order of pain (31 cases, 16%), cancer (17 cases, 9%), fatigue (11 cases, 6%). Conclusions : This study has significance as basic research data of general Internet user group and can be used as fundamental data for awareness promotion, publicity and necessity of Mibyeong.
A concept network is an essential knowledge base for semantic search engines, personalized search systems, recommendation systems, and text mining. Recently, studies of extending concept representation using external ontology have been frequently conducted. We thus propose a new way of building 3-dimensional text model-based concept networks using the world knowledge-level Wikipedia ontology. In fact, it is desirable that 'concepts' derived from text documents are defined according to the theoretical framework of formal concept analysis, since relationships among concepts generally change over time. In this paper, concept networks hidden in a given document collection are extracted more reasonably by representing a concept as a term-by-document matrix.
