초기 일반 지식을 갖고 있는 점증 적응 학습 알고리즘 (Incremental Adaptive Aearning Algorithm with Initial Generic Knowledge)

  • This paper introduces the concept of fixed weights and proposes an algorithm for classification by adding this concept to vector space separation method in LVQ. The proposed algorithm is based on competitive learning. It uses fixed weightsfor generality and fast adaptation efficient radius for new weight creation, and L1 distance for fast calcualtion. It can be applied to many fields requiring adaptive learning with the support of generality, real-tiem processing and sufficient training effect using smaller data set. Recognition rate of over 98% for the train set and 94% for the test set was obtained by applying the suggested algorithm to on-line handwritten recognition.

  • The concept of intergenerational and intercultural approaches in education and learning are changing nowadays. Intergenerational approach in the third age education and learning programs can be defined as planned activities that link various generations with the goal of exchanging knowledge, experiences and receiving mutual benefits. The goal is to connect people by using mutually beneficial activities that encourage understanding, cooperation and respect between generations, as well as contribute to the society. Intercultural approach in the third age education is connected with activities that link people of various cultures aimed at receiving mutual benefits. This paper discusses the development of third age education in Saint Petersburg, Russia and shows how the intercultural and intergenerational approaches are used in this type of education. The third age universities in Saint Petersburg do not have a lot of experience in this. In the article examples of the using intercultural and intergenerational approaches in the third age education are showed.

The Effect of The Lunar and Planetary Phases Drawing Module on Students' Conceptual Change and Achievement

  • The concept of 'the lunar and planetary phases' is very difficult to understand and students may have various misconceptions on this concept. A module drawing the lunar and planetary phases was developed with the application of the simplifying conditions method. The effects of instruction using the module drawing the lunar and planetary phases on the conceptual change and the achievement was investigated in the consideration of learners' characteristics (spatial perception ability, science inquiry ability, required pre-requested learning ability). Findings were as follows: 1) This module was effective for learners' conceptual change and achievement, 2) This module had a positive influence for development the learners' characteristics and conceptual change with the middle level of science inquiry ability, the middle and low level of required pre-requisite learning ability, and middle level of the spatial perception ability.

High School Exploration of a Phase Change Material as a Thermal Energy Storage

  • The present study describes a hands-on experiment to help students understand the concept of phase change or phase transition and its application in a phase change material (PCM). PCMs are substances that have the capability of storing and releasing large amounts of thermal energy. They act as energy storage materials that provide an effective way to save energy by reducing the electricity required for heating and cooling. Lauric acid (LA) was selected as an example of the PCM. Students investigated the temperature change of LA and the temperature (of air) inside the test tube. The differences in the temperatures of the systems helped students understand how PCMs work. A one-group pretest and posttest design was implemented with 34 grade-11 students in science and mathematics. Students' understanding was assessed using a multiple-choice test and a questionnaire. The findings revealed that the designed activity helped students understand the concept of phase change and its application to materials for thermal energy storage.

  • A collision-free trajectory planning algorithm using the iterative learning concept is proposed for dual robot arms in a 3-D workspace to accurately follow their specified paths with constant velocities. Specifically, a collision-free trajectory minimizing the trajectory error is obtained first by employing the linear programming technique. Then the total operating time is iteratively adjusted based on the maximum trajectory error of the previous iteration so that the collision-free trajectory has no deviation from the specified path and also the operating time is near-minimal.

간호학생의 임상수행능력 영향 요인 (Affecting Factors on Clinical Competence of Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 임상수행능력 정도를 확인하고 임상수행능력에 미치는 영향 정도를 파악하기 위해 시도되었다. 연구대상자는 경기도 소재의 일 대학 간호과 2학년에 재학 중인 학생 207명이었으며, 자료수집기간은 2014년 8월 25일부터 9월 15일까지 이었다. 연구결과 임상수행능력은 간호학전공 만족도, 임상실습 만족도에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 전문직 자아개념, 비판적 사고성향, 자기주도적 학습능력과 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 대상자의 임상수행능력에 영향을 미치는 요인은 자기주도적 학습능력, 전문직 자아개념, 비판적 사고성향 순이었다. 본 연구결과에 의하면 간호대학생의 임상수행능력 영향요인을 고려한 효율적인 교육프로그램의 개발이 요구된다.

  • 본 연구는 소프트웨어 교육의 방법으로 놀이중심 SW교육 교수학습전략이 컴퓨팅 사고력 신장에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 놀이중심 SW교육 교수학습전략은 주어진 컴퓨터 코드를 놀이 과정을 통하여 구체화하는 노력을 한 뒤 기능을 수정하고 새롭게 재구성하는 수업 전략이다. 우선 놀이중심 SW교육 교수학습전략을 적용한 교육 프로그램을 설계하여 초등학생들에게 투입하였다. 연구의 효과성을 검증하기 위하여 컴퓨팅 사고 개념과 컴퓨팅 사고 실습의 역량검사를 분석한 결과, 제안된 교수학습전략이 직접교수법보다 효과적이었으며 컴퓨팅 사고에 긍정적인 결과를 가져온 것으로 확인되었다.

대학 일반 화학 수업에서 개념도 활용 전략의 효과 (The Effects of Concept Mapping Strategy in the Undergraduate General Chemistry Course)

  • 이 연구에서는 일반화학 수업에서의 개념도 작성이 초등 예비교사의 성취도, 개념 이해도, 과학에 대한 불안감, 과학교수효능감에 미치는 영향을 조사했다. 또한, 예비교사들의 학습 접근 방식과 개념도 작성 활동 사이의 적성-처치 상호작용 효과도 조사했다. 1개 교육대학교의 1학년 학생 69명을 처치 집단과 통제 집단으로 배정했다. 사전 검사로 학습 접근 방식, 과학에 대한 불안감, 과학교수효능감 검사를 실시했다. 처치는 9주 동안 진행되었는데, 처치 집단은 강의 후 개념도 작성을 했고, 통제 집단은 강의 후 교과서의 연습 문제를 풀었다. 처치가 끝난 후, 성취도, 개념 이해도, 과학에 대한 불안감, 과학교수효능감 검사를 실시했다. 연구 결과, 성취도 검사에서는 처치 집단의 점수가 통제 집단보다 유의미하게 높았다. 그러나 개념 이해도와 과학교수효능감에서는 처치 집단과 통제 집단 사이에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 과학에 대한 불안감 검사에서는 처치 집단 학생들의 불안감이 통제 집단에 비해 유의미하게 높았다. 학생들의 학습 접근 방식과 수업 처치 사이의 적성-처치 상호작용 효과는 발견되지 않았다.

전문가시스템 실용화를 위한 지식오류분석방법론 연구 (A Development of Knowledge Error Analysis Methodology for practical use of Expert Systems)

  • The accuracy of knowledge is a major concern for expert system developers and users. Machine learning approaches have recently been found to be useful in knowledge acquisition for expert systems. However, the accuracy of concept acquired from machine learning could not be analyzed in most cases. In this paper we develop a comprehensive knowledge error analysis methodology for practical use of expert systems. Decision tree induction is an important type of machine learning method for business expert systems. Here we start to analyze with knowledge acquired from decision tree induction method, and extend the results to develop error analysis methodology for general machine learning methods. We give several examples and illustrations for these results. We also discuss the applicability of these results to multistrategy learning approaches.

  • The research was aimed at finding the dynamic aspects of the linguistic and social interaction with mathematical concept development using a graphing calculator in collaborative learning. This study was broadly divided into two categories: "Knowledge Construction Statement" for understanding how the verbal interaction works when a graphing calculator is used, and "Teacher's Instructional Role" for the research on the reaction of the students and on the teacher's role as a guide in helping students to construct their knowledge. This research used a case study in a collaborative learning environment. An attempt was made to show clearly how the students interacted with one another in a technology environment using a graphing calculator as a tool. A graphing calculator promoted the students' linguistic interaction and changed the characteristics of the linguistic interaction. Although it didn't show the different aspects completely, some changes of the linguistic traits were perceived.aits were perceived.
