Recently, much attention has focused on the study of eco-friendly concrete using recycled by-products for protecting marine ecosystem and durability of concrete exposed to marine condition. This study evaluated the durabilities of 4 different type of concrete mixtures(Control, Marine, Porous, New slag) with the seawater resistance by marine environment exposure experiment and freeze-thaw resistance, resistance to chloride ion penetration considering severe deterioration environment. In this study, we conducted seawater resistance using compressive strength according to the age(7/28/56 days) of specimen and curing conditions(standard(fresh water), tidal, immersion, artificial seawater). The results show that compressive strength of concrete exposed to marine environment exposure condition was lower than those of the standard curing condition. Also, compressive strength of New slag using eco-friendly materials for protecting marine ecosystem was lower than those of other concretes, there is need to improve the performance of New slag. The results for freeze-thaw resistance showed that all mixtures have excellent, but the Porous and New slag were lower than others. Also, the more improved resistance to chloride ion penetration than those of the Marine was measured in the New slag regardless of curing condition.

The purpose of this study is to develop an inorganic filling adhesive using MKP and borax based on Dead-burn magnesia and fly ash. First, basic experiments was conducted to derive the proper addition rate of MKP. And this experiment was carried out according to addition ratio of borax. The test items are measured for pot life, flexural strength, compressive strength, adhesive strength, tensile strength, ratio of temperature change, ratio of hardening shrinkage, radon gas and formaldehyde emission. As a result, the proper addition rate of phosphate was 35%. The pot time is about 10minutes, 15minutes and 25minutes according to addition rate of borax. The flexural strength and compressive strength were obtained at 12hours for minimum flexural strength of 8.0MPa and minimum compressive strength of 31.0MPa. The tensile strength was the least 4.1MPa, and the ratio of hardening shrinkage was maximum 2.4% and ratio of heat change was maximum - 0.3%, which satisfied all of the quality standards of 'KS F 4923' (epoxy resin for repairing concrete structures). Both Radon gas and formaldehyde emission was not detected.
Since the organophilic bentonite disperses well in polymer matrix, a composite material of polymer and bentonite was studied for its mechanical properties. To increase the degree of dispersion and the bond in forces to the polymer matrix, bentonite, encapsulated by imidazoline, was used as a filler. Polyethylene powder of particle size of 100 mesh was used, and organophilic bentonite, so-called bentone, whose particle size was 250 mesh was also used in this experiment. V-type mixer was used for mixing and Banbury mixer was used for melt-blending. The sample specimen were made by heating the mixture in the plate press, and the specimen were formed as a sheet, exactly the same as the mold on the plate. Tensile strength, bending strength and compressive strength were studied specially. Tensile strength, elongation rate, bending strength and bending rate at constant pressure were decreased as the filler content increased. Compressive strength was increased as the filler content increased.

This study aims to examine the possible use of heavy oil fly ash as raw material for deodorization panels by adding additives such as activated carbon and diatomite during deodorization panel manufacturing process and improving the performance of formaldehyde and toluene elimination. The recycled heavy oil flyash deodorization panel to be used either of them as additives removed more than 93% of formaldehyde and more than 97% of toluen but the compressive strength was decreased 27 to 63%. In an experiment to be used both additives, Whereas, the panel to include activated carbon 5% and diatomite 5% removed 84% against formaldehyde and 96% against toluen, and the compressive strength was increased 32% better than standard panel. Therefore it could be confirmed that the recycled heavy oil flyash deodorization panel is increased the compressive strength and the removal efficiency against harmful chemical substances by using the additives mixture.

In this study, we tested to develop and apply structural insulation performance improvement concrete to field, which had compressive strength in 24 MPa and thermal conductivity twice as much as normal concrete. After experiment about slump and air contents, combination product of Plain and calcined diatomite powder showed reduction of slump and air contents and combination product with micro foam cell admixture, we cannot find result of slump and air contents reduction. Unit weight of combination product with insulation performance improvement materials decreased more than that of Plain. In the test of compressive strength, compressive strength of insulation performance improvement concrete decreased more than that of Plain but was content with 24 MPa. thermal conductivity of insulation performance improvement concrete tended to decrease. Freezing and thawing resistance of insulation performance improvement concrete was similar to that of Plain. In carbonation resistance test, combination product with calcined diatomite powder showed the result which was similar to that of Plain. In carbonation resistance test, combination product with micro foam cell admixture showed a increase compared to that of Plain and length variation of combination product generally increased.

In this paper, an experimental study was conducted to investigate the applications of bottom ash, which is an industrial by-product obtained from thermal power plants. Bottom ash was used as fine aggregate in this study, and an experiment was conducted to determine the characteristics of the bottom ash aggregate. In addition, 25, 50, 75, and 100% contents of crushed (natural) fine aggregate were replaced with bottom ash aggregate to produce concrete mixture including bottom ash. Thereafter, test results of the unit weight, ultrasonic velocity, compressive strength, and thermal conductivity of bottom ash concrete were obtained. Moreover, the effect of the curing ages of 28 and 91 days on the material characteristics of bottom ash concrete were identified. Test results showed that bottom ash used as fine aggregate had pozzolanic reaction. Finally, based on the extensive experimental results, relationships between thermal conductivity and unit weight, ultrasonic velocity, and compressive strength was suggested.

In this study, as a basic study to use recycled limestone powder as a secondary product mixture for concrete, it was found that the compressive and flexural strengths were equal to or slightly improved compared to Plain up to 10% and 20% of the RLP mixing ratio, but the strength was rather decreased at 30% mixing. As a result of the heat of hydration experiment, as the RLP mixing rate increased, the heat of hydration decreased, and the elapsed time of the maximum heat was also delayed. As a result of the drying shrinkage test, as the fine powder RLP filled the internal pores of the cement mortar, the drying shrinkage decreased as the mixing rate increased. The compressive strength, water absorption rate, and compressive strength after freezing and thawing of the concrete block mixed with RLP 20% all satisfied the group standard criteria of the Korea Concrete Industry Cooperative Federation, confirming the possibility of use as a mixed material.

In order to improve the housing culture, construction changes for the utilization of diverse and multifunctional spaces are appearing in response to the increasing diverse needs of consumers. Cellular Light-weight Concrete (CLC) is being developed for use in fire-resistant heat-insulating walls and non-bearing walls. However, manufacturing non-uniformity has become a problem as a drawback due to the use of foamed bubbles and normal temperature curing, and additional research is required. Therefore, in order to suppress cracks due to drying shrinkage, silica sand is mixed with CLC to try to understand its characteristics. In the experiment, the compressive strength from 7 to 28 days of age was measured via a constant temperature and humidity chamber, and the drying shrinkage was analyzed according to each condition using a strain gauge. The compressive strength of matrix tends to decrease as the substitution rate of silica sand increases. This is judged by the result derived from the fact that the specific surface area of silica sand is smaller than that of slag. Based on KS F 2701 (ALC block), the compressive strength of 0.6 products is 4.9 MPa or more as a guide, so the maximum replacement rate of silica sand that satisfies this can be seen at 60%. Looking at the change in drying shrinkage for just 7 days, the shrinkage due to temperature change and drying is 0.7 mm, and the possibility of cracking due to shrinkage can be seen, and it seems that continuous improvement and supplementation are needed in the future.

In this paper, when the composite beam is made with UHPC deck and steel girder, the steel girder takes the form of the inverted-T shape without top flange because of high strength and stiffness of UHPC deck. There is no evaluation by experiment and analysis about the shear connector behavior on the web of steel girder and flexural behavior of inverted-T shape composite beam. By this reason, this study compares between experiment and analysis by using tension softening model of UHPC on the basis of flexural test results of 16 members considering compressive strength of UHPC, spacing of stud and thickness of deck as variables. The results of tensile strength of UHPC by inverse analysis were 6.57 MPa(in case of 120 MPa) and 9.57 MPa(in case of 150 MPa). In case of the test members with small stud spacing, the results of analysis and test were close clearly, and the test members with thick deck and low UHPC compressive strength also similar, but effects were small. As it compared between analysis and experiment totally, the results of analysis and experiment agree well. So the tension softening model of UHPC is reasonably reflected on the real behavior of composite beam of UHPC.
