  • Bioheavy oil, which is expanding its range of use as an alternative fuel to reduce environmental pollutant emissions, has a lot of difficulty in combustion due to its low emission of pollutants such as nitrogen oxide (NOx) and sulfur oxide (SOx), while its low dissipation and high oxygen content in fuel. many studies have been conducted on change in characteristics by mixing rate combustion characteristics and combustion reactions, but there have been no specific and effective studies on the composition of control system, optimization of control, development of logic for mixing and burning, minimizing environmental pollutantants discharge. In this study, we intend to consider systemmatic and empirical considerations on the composition, logic development, solve the problem of manual switching of bioler master due to excessive oxygen content and tuning of the control system for optimal combustion of bioheavy oil.

  • Chemical characteristics of the cricket, Gryllus bimaculatus, were investigated in total composition, amino acid composition, fatty acid composition and mineral components. After the treatment of 0.4% of G. bimaculatus in the chicken feed, the changes of fatty acid composition in the chicken meat and egg were also estimated. As the result, saturated fatty acid, especially palmitic acid, decreased 4% and unsaturated fatty acids, linoleic aced and arachidonic acid, increased 12 and 23%, respectively, compared with those of control. In addition, there was a small increase in Eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA). The sensory test of the chicken meat resulted in increased flavor, brightness and yellow color. The sensory scores of G. bimaculatus egg in the point of taste resulted in somewhat better estimate than control. These results are appear to be stemmed from fatty acids of cricket.

  • A vitrification process is under development in KEPRI for the treatment of low-and medium-level radioactive waste. Although the project is for developing and building Vitrification Pilot Plant in Korea, one of KEPRI's concerns is the quality control of the vitrified glass. This paper discusses a methodology for the estimation of glass composition by on-line measurement of molten glass properties, which could be applied to the plant for real-time quality control of the glass product. By remotely measuring viscosity and density of the molten glass, the glass characteristics such as composition can be estimated and eventually controlled. For this purpose, using the database of glass composition vs. physical properties in isothermal three-component system of SiO$_2$-Na$_2$O-B$_2$O$_3$, a software TERNARY has been developed which determines the glass composition by using two known physical properties(e.g. density and viscosity).

  • The accurate simulation of the static and/or dynamic response of a power system requires detailed knowledge of the behavior of the loads. For the Precise load model, the chearacteristics and the composition of the load are needed. In this papers, the reliable estimation method of load composition is suggested intruducing knowledge-based system though it used various weekly-reliable survey data.

  • Microalgae have been explored as potential host species for biofuel production. Environmental factors affect algal growth and cellular composition. The effects of several key environmental factors, such as temperature, light, and pH of the medium on the growth and biochemical composition of Scenedesmus obliquus were investigated in this study. The highest growth rate of microalgae was observed at an optimal temperature of 25℃, 150 μmol/(m2·s) light intensity, and pH 10.0. The biochemical composition analysis revealed that the carbohydrate content decreased at lower (20℃) or higher temperature (35℃), whereas the protein and lipid contents increase at these temperatures. The fluctuation of light intensity significantly affected the contents of protein, carbohydrate, and lipid. The protein levels varied greatly when the pH of the medium was below 7.0. The carbohydrate and lipid contents significantly increased at pH above 7.0.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was intended to investigate the effect on the body composition of the dormitory-type middle school students by implementing the complexed exercise program. Method: As subjects of the study, the dormitory-type middle school students in Chungbuk, divided into 2 grade experimental group(N=46), 3 grade control group(N=49). Group-specific arbitration method, was applied to complexed exercise program (experimental group) and running group (control group). Each training courses 30 minutes 5times weekly, examined the changes in body composition to examine a total of 6-week course effectively. Result: The results were compared with change of Height, Muscle mass, Fat mass, Lean body mass and BMI. Experimental group were significant(p<.05) compared to the control group. Height, Weight, Muscle mass, Fat mass, and BMI of control group wasn't significant(p>.05). Also there were significant difference(p<.05) between groups on Height, Muscle mass, Fat mass and Lean body mass post-test measure. Conclusion: Looking in total from the above results, it is suggested that it is possible to complexed exercise program 6 weeks improves body composition of the dormitory-type middle school students. Therefore, it is possible that the application of complexed exercise program is to effective in improvement of body composition of the dormitory-type middle school students.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of weight control program on body composition(body mass index and waist-hip ratio), blood pressure, serum lipids(total cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein and low density lipoprotein) and self-regulation behavior in obese college women. Methods: Forty seven obese subjects were divided into experimental(22) and control(25) groups. The weight control program lasting 12 weeks consisted of a traffic-light diet, jumping-rope exercises, and behavior modification methods with e-mail counseling. The data were collected from 29 March to 17 September of 2004. The variables were assessed before and after intervention for 12 weeks in two groups. Then, those were repeated after a 12 week suspension of intervention in the experimental group. The data were analysed by the SPSS computer program. Results: BMI, HDL, LDL and self-regulation behavior levels showed significant differences between the experimental and control groups. While there were no significant differences in waist-hip ratio, blood pressure, total cholesterol and triglyceride. Conclusion: The weight control program had a positive effect on obese college women, and can be used to control obesity.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of $\alpha$-, ${\gamma}$-, $\delta$-Tocopherols on oxidative stability of lipid in hamburger patties during frozen storage. Hamburger patty samples were prepared with the addition of tocopherol by fat basis: control, treat 1 (control+0.02% $\alpha$-tocopherol), treat 2 (control+ 0.02% ${\gamma}$-tocopherol were cooked at 85$^{\circ}C$ for 3 minutes and the stored at -1$0^{\circ}C$ or 3$0^{\circ}C$). The fatty acids composition of the hamburger samples were analyzed during the storage periods (1, 20, 40, 60 and 80 days). there was no difference in the fatty acids composition among control and treatment groups in early storage time; however, content of unsaturated fatty acid was decreased in control group and slightly decreased or almost not changed in treatment groups as the storage period passed. No difference in the ratio of saturated fatty acid : unsaturated fatty acid (SFA : USFA) and saturated fatty acid : monounsaturated fatty acid : unsaturated fatty acid (SFA : MUFA : PUFA) between control and treatment groups at early storage time. However, SFA : USFA and SFA : MUFA : PUFA was decreased in control and slightly decreased or not changed in all treatment groups as the storage period passed.

  • This paper describes a modeling of service composition manager based on TINA (Telecommunication Information Networking Architecture). The Service composition function is mainly motivated by the desire to easily generate new service using existing services from retailers or $3^{rd}$-party service providers. The TINA-C specification for the service composition does not include the detailed composition procedure and its object models. In this paper, we propose a model of components for the service composition, which adapts a static composition feature in a single provider domain. To validate the proposed modeling, we implemented prototype service composition function, which combines two multimedia services; a VOD service and a VCS service. As a result, we obtain the specification of the detailed composition architecture between a retailer domain and a $3^{rd}$-party service provider domain.
