Next, there are three strategies to improve nursing informatics competence: 1) organizational approach, 2) opportunity of continuous education, 3) presentation of standards in nursing informatics competence. Conclusion: Further studies such as educational program development and evaluation tool development are necessary. Moreover, there is a need to enhance clinical nurses' nursing informatics competence by using the proposed strategies.
The purpose of this study was to develop and validate the "Authentic Parental Competence Scale" for mothers with school-age children. Based on a literature review, the study found that 'authentic parental competence' could be divided into parenting comperence, self-system competence, and social competence. In addition, the scale comprised three factors consisting of 43. The study collected data through behavior event interview(BEI), focus group interview(FGI), and three times Delphi investigation. The scale for mothers of school-age children consisted of a total of 129 items, which included three different dimensions (knowledge, skill, and attitude), and four factors were extracted from factor analysis following a survey of 362 mothers. The factors were labeled as "ability of developmental positive parenting," "ability of playing a role as a citizen and making social contributions," "ability of self-understanding and interpersonal relations," and "ability of self-growth and self-determination." In addition, the results revealed that the "Authentic Parental Competence Scale" showed an appropriate level of construct validity, reliability of the scales, distribution of item response, and item discrimination.

The purpose of this study was to clarify the concept of LGBT cultural competence in nurses. This study used Walker and Avant's 8 steps of conceptual analysis. The specific steps are: (1) selecting the concept, (2) selecting the purpose of concept analysis, (3) identifying the scope of concept use, (4) identifying the determinant attributes of the concept, (5) presenting model cases, (6) additional cases of the concept (boundary cases, opposite cases, and related cases), (7) identifying antecedents and consequences, and (8) presenting empirical evidence. As a result, five attributes of nurses' LGBT cultural competence were identified in the final 12 articles: cultural experience and cultural acceptance, cultural knowledge, cultural attitude and awareness, and cultural skills. Antecedents included diversification of society, heteronormative healthcare environment, continuing education and training, intercultural understanding, and open-mindedness. Outcomes of cultural competence were identified as reducing LGBT health inequalities and providing quality care. In conclusion, this study contributes to providing a basis for improving the quality of nursing care by providing more culturally appropriate care to the target population through conceptual analysis and understanding of nurses' LGBT cultural competence. Furthermore, it is necessary to continue research on the development of tools to measure nurses' LGBT cultural competence and the development of nursing intervention programmes that can be applied in nursing practice.
The purpose of this study was to develop a scale for evaluation of preschool children's peer competence and to examine its validity and reliability. The 15 items of the preliminary scale were completed by teachers, and peer rating scale for assessment of peer acceptance was administered to 365 children 5 to 6 years of age. The methods for data analysis included item analysis, factor analysis for construct validity, Pearson correlations between teacher's ratings of peer competence and children's ratings of peer acceptance for concurrent validity, and Cronbach's u for reliability. The 15 items of the scathe were found be satisfactory in terms of item response distribution and item discrimination. Factor analysis revealed that a 3-factor solution was the best fit: sociability, prosocial behavior, leadership in peer relations. Correlations between teacher's ratings and children's ratings were as significant. Cronbach'so ranged from .88 to .93 for three subscales and .93 for the total scale. It was concluded that the psychometric properties of the peer competence scale in general were acceptable for use.
This study examined the relationships between parenting stress, parenting sense of competence, and parenting behavior in Korean and Japanese mothers of early school-aged children. A sample of 166 Korean mothers and 112 Japanese mothers completed questionnaires. First, in terms of results, Korean mothers reported higher scores in parenting stress, parenting sense of competence, and warmth and neglect than Japanese mothers did. In contrast, Japanese mothers scored higher on intrusiveness than Korean mothers. Second, for both groups, parenting stress was negatively related to warmth and reasoning, and positively related to intrusiveness, coercion, and neglect. Third, for both groups, parenting sense of competence was positively linked to warmth and reasoning, and negatively linked to intrusiveness, coercion, and neglect. Fourth, parenting stress was negatively associated with parenting sense of competence for both groups. Finally, parenting sense of competence mediated the associations between parenting stress and warmth for both groups. Only in the case of Korean mothers did parenting stress influence reasoning and intrusiveness through parenting sense of competence. These results imply that there may indeed be cross-cultural similarities and differences in three parenting-related variables between Korean and Japanese mothers.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the assessment expertise of Mathematics' teachers, focusing on the competence in designing assessment item development. In this present research, I analysed how the teachers' competence appears in designing assessment items development when they generated problems the given problem into a new one. To examine this assumption, the following research questions were posed and investigated in the present study : How do Pre-service and In-service Teachers in primary schools develop the assessment item when generating problems the given problems into new problems? The result from the case study of metamorphosing the given problem into a new problem teachers used similar patterns switching numbers or changing units in order to develop new problems. Also, teachers in primary schools tend to develop problems as commonly as in the mathematics workbooks. In-service teachers tend to have better skills developing assessment items, but there were quite much of variability between individuals.
The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the communicative competence of early childhood teachers on their teaching efficacy and job satisfaction in an attempt to provide some information on the development of the communicative competence of early childhood teachers. Study results show that, first, the teaching efficacy of early childhood teachers differed according to their age, education and career level and their communicative competence differed according to their career level. Second, communicative competence had a statistically significant positive correlation with teaching efficacy and job satisfaction. Third, among the sub-factors of communicative competence, focusing attention and responding exerted a statistically significant positive influence on teaching efficacy. Among the sub-factors of communicative competence, focusing attention, analyzing and evaluating exerted a statistically significant positive influence on job satisfaction.
