The influence of mileage program on brand loyalty of the apparel firm (의류업의 마일리지 제도가 브랜드 충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this research is to provide the apparel companies with a successful business strategy by analyzing the concept, function and current status of mileage programs; and examining how customer's attitude, recognition, experience, compensation method of the mileage program in apparel companies affect its brand loyalty. In this research simple random sampling was performed. The sample pool was based on 494 people which included college students and employed men and women in their twenties and thirties living in Seoul and in the metropolitan area. The data analysis was completed on the basis of SPSS package, using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, factor analysis, variation, Scheffe test, regression, t-test, and X/sup2/. The following results were found in this research: It is effective to maintain brand loyalty through continuous relationship with consumers as fierce competition increases in apparel companies. A mileage program is a win/win strategy that allows clothing companies to increase its sales and brand loyalty while consumers feel greater satisfaction.

  • This study aims at compensation of the skin moisture level using skin impedance and SR factor. SR factor is related with the current diffusion into the skin layer. To efficiently analyze the current diffusion on the skin model, we used an electromagnetic simulation program called Ansys 10.0 Emag. We confirmed that the measured value decreases as the electric current gets more diffused to the layer below the horny layer. In order to conduct actual experiments based on the simulated result, we manufactured special electrodes with 24 pins by arranging 0.8mm-diameter electrodes every 0.5mm, in a $3{\times}8$ array. By simultaneously achieving both impedance value and SR value of skin with the manufactured electrodes, we compared the skin moisture level using the existing equipment to the skin moisture level applied using the skin impedance as well as the SR factor developed in this study. The correlation coefficient between the skin moisture level achieved from the existing equipment and the reference value was 0.615 (p<0.01), whereas the correlation coefficient between the skin moisture achieved from the regression equation in this study was 0.677 (p<0.01). Accordingly, it was confirmed that applying SR factor additionally improves the moisture level more precisely.

A Study of the Burden of Preceptors (프리셉터의 업무부담에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: This study investigated the burden of preceptors in order to improve preceptorship in nursing practice. Method: The participants were 170 preceptors at three hospitals in Pusan. The data were collected using questionnaires completed between July and September 2002, which included items to measure burden and opinions to reflect the demands of preceptors. They were analyzed using mean score, frequencies, and content analysis. Result: 1) The preceptors had an average of 6.3 years of clinical experience, while the practical career of a preceptor averaged 1.9 years. The average period of new nurse education was 5.5 weeks. Each year, 1.9 new nurses were trained per preceptor. 2) Of the preceptors 54.7% had received compensation without formal rules. but 54.1% did not want to serve further as preceptors because of overwork, lack of educational preparation, and lack of compensation. They were looking for solutions for existing problems. 3) Preceptors indicated that the major burden was having to repeat explanations to each preceptee, they were too busy to serve as preceptors, and their colleagues' had excessive expectations. Conclusion: We recommend practical management, including supplementary manpower, an education program, and compensation provided by the hospital administration with cooperation from colleges.

A Study on a Catenary Impedance Estimation Technique using Boosting Current Compensation Based on Current Division Characteristics of an AT Feeding System

  • Generally, an autotransformer(AT) feeding system consists of double tracks, up and down, with the trolley wire and feeder wire of the up and down tracks connected in the sectioning post(SP). Consequently, load current or fault current flows on two tracks based on catenary impedance characteristics, making it difficult to estimate catenary impedance accurately. This paper presents a technique for the estimation of catenary impedance using boosting current compensation based on the current division characteristics of an AT feeding system to improve the operation performance of impedance relay. To verify the technique, we model an AT feeding system through a power analysis program (PSCAD/EMTDC) and simulate various operation and fault conditions. Through the simulation, we confirmed that the proposed technique has estimated catenary impedance with a similar degree of accuracy to the actual catenary impedance

Primary versus revision total shoulder arthroplasty: comparing relative value and reimbursement trends

  • Background: Total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) has been demonstrated to be an effective treatment for multiple shoulder pathologies. The purpose of our study was to compare the relative value units (RVUs) per minute of surgical time for primary and revision TSA. Methods: The American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program database was queried to identify patients that underwent primary TSA, one-component revision TSA, and two-component revision TSA between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2017 using current procedure terminology codes. RVUs were divided by mean operative time for each procedure to determine the amount of revenue generated per minute. Rates were compared between the groups using a one-way analysis of variance with post-hoc Tukey test. Statistical significance was set at p<0.05. Results: When dividing compensation by surgical time, we found that two-component revision generated more compensation per minute compared to primary TSA (0.284±0.114 vs. 0.239±0.278 RVU per minute or $10.25±$4.11 vs. $8.64±$10.05 per minute, respectively; p=0.001). Conclusions: The relative value of revision TSA procedures is weighted to account for the increased technical challenges and time associated with these procedures. This study confirms that reimbursement is higher for revision TSA compared to primary TSA.

The Effects of A Day Care Rehabilitation Program on Physical and Emotional Function of Patients with Job-related Injury (주간재활 프로그램이 산업재해 환자의 신체적, 정서적 기능에 미치는 효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a day care rehabilitation program managed by nurses on physical and emotional function of patients with job-related injuries. Method: A one group pre-test and post-test quasi-experimental design was used. Thirty patients participated in a day care rehabilitation program and 9% of those were unable to complete the 16 weeks program due to absence. The physiotherapist, occupational therapist, and clinical psychologist offered the day care rehabilitation program, 5 times a week for 16 weeks. Outcome measures included physical and emotional function. Results: The program participants had significantly greater motor function (t=-2.85, p=.008) and activity of daily living (t=-5.34, p<.001), and lower depression (t=5.20, p<.001), state anxiety (t=4.71, p<.001), and trait anxiety (t=4.40, p<.001). Conclusion: The nurse managed day care rehabilitation program significantly improved physical and emotional function in patients with job-related injuries. The program should be further tested in a larger sample to validate the findings.

Conflict Structure Analysis on the Construction of stork Eco-Village in Yesangun Using Q methodology (Q 방법론을 이용한 예산 황새마을 조성사업의 갈등구조 분석)

  • Ecotourism has the potential to boost the energy of a village as it pays keen attention to the ecosystem and the residents of the village. It is empowered by participation of and cooperation among stakeholders who are closely involved in ecotourism. However, many of them express difficulty in striking a right balance between development and conservation with regard to promoting ecotourism. Against this backdrop, this research paper investigates the structure of conflict that the stakeholders, especially those in Stork Village in Yesan County, South Chungcheong Province of Korea, experience during the process of establishment of government-led ecotourism. In addition, this study examines the problems of government-led ecotourism model and how they can be addressed. To analyze conflict structure, this paper used Q methods and found out that the budget-related stakeholders are largely divided into four groups as who; a) complain about how business profits are distributed; b) secure profits by expanding programs; c) consider human settlement, and; d) broaden people's participation. The biggest contributor to the conflicts is found that compensation was given discriminately to different jurisdictions. The second finding is that residents became less cooperative when the financial compensation did not live up to their expectation. For instance, they would demand the tourism facility physically expanded, repeatedly complain about the process of the work, and even accuse the government of degrading ecosystem. In other words, unless the compromise is reached with the residents regarding financial compensation, it could be difficult to encourage their participation and develop as a program-oriented tour. Lastly, the tour program needs to induce voluntary participation of the residents and deliver proper information on ecosystem and natural resources so as to last as sustainable ecotourism. The success of ecotourism will be subject to the cooperation of stakeholders in a region, conservation of our fragile ecosystem, and realization of sustainable growth through sharing economic benefits. This study looks into the cause of the conflicts of ecotourism sites and their structure. If this paper can bring about cooperation of stakeholders, the management and operation of ecotourism sites would be more sustainable.

Constitutional Issue Review of Compensation for Inevitable Medical Accidents During Delivery (불가항력 의료사고 보상사업에 대한 헌법적 쟁점 검토)

  • In principle, even if serious consequences such as death or serious injury of a patient occur as a result of a medical accident, if the medical malpractice of a health care worker is not recognized, the health care worker is not held liable for said consequences. However, with the opening of the Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency on April 7, 2012, a system was established to compensate health care personnel for their medical malpractices only in the case of "injuries caused by medical accidents in the course of childbirth" (hereinafter referred to as "program for compensation of medical accidents"). Article 46 paragraph 1 of the current Medical Dispute Mediation Act, which is the basis of the Force Majeure Medical Accident Compensation System, stipulates that "medical accidents under delivery" claims are to be determined by the Medical Accident Compensation Review Committee are subject to the compensation project. And the details of the compensation, ratio of sharing financial resources for compensation, scope of compensation, and the guidelines and procedure for the payment of compensations are prescribed by Presidential Decree. In other words, the Presidential Decree requires the state to pay 70 percent of the compensation funds, and 30 percent of the above funds among health care providers. The Constitutional Court has decided on the 2015Hun-Ga13 that the scope of the health care institution's founders and the share of the compensation funds cannot be directly determined by the law, and that the portion delegated by the Presidential decree does not violate the Principle of Legal Protection nor Comprehensive Nondelegation Doctrine. However, this can be seen as an exclusion of accountability for force-induced delivery accidents even if there is no negligence of the medical staff. If the nature of the system is a type of social security system with a social compensatory nature, it could consider eliminating the health care innovator's cost-sharing provisions, leaving the full cost to the state. However, it is also necessary to review institutional protocols that strengthen the efforts of medical institutions in areas such as analysis of the causes of medical accidents and measures to prevent their recurrence. In addition, I think that the conclusion of the Act is in line with the purpose of the Comprehensive Wage Support Regulations that at minimum the law sets an upper limit of the compensation funds that are to be paid by health and medical institutions. Moreover, it is reasonable for the Medical Accident Compensation Review Committee to specify gestational age and weight of births, which are the criteria for compensation, under the Enforcement Decree of the Medical Dispute Mediation Act, in relation to the criteria for payment of contributions by the Medical Accident Compensation Review Committee, and to set the detailed criteria.

New Controller for Power Factor and Harmonics Compensation of Single-Phase PWM Converter without AC Voltage Sensor (단상 PWM 컨버터의 역률 및 고조파 보상을 위한 교류전압 검출기가 없는 새로운 제어기)

  • In this paper, A new controller for power factor and harmonics compensation of a single-phase PWM converter is described. The proposed controller requires only the dc voltage sensor and the at current sensor to compensate the power factor and harmonics. Detail simulation model with EMTBC (Electro-Magnetic Transient program for DC transmission) including power circuit and controller was developed to verify the operation of proposed controller. The application feasibility of the proposed controller was verified through experimental works with a prototype. The proposed controller has a simple structure in the point of hardware implementation, and shows excellent performance in normal operation as well as in sudden load change.

  • In this paper, a fuzzy hyperresolution principle called CFHR. Compensatory Fuzzy Hyperresolution, with positive compensation facility is proposed. Usually hyperresolution has several terms of conditon parts. Theser terms have to be connected by the an connective. If the main/max operator to be used the and operation, there is some dependency problem of the min/max operator. So , we propose a compensatory operator EGM and applied it to the CFHR, We show the CFHR does more meaningful reasoning than existing method. We also prove the completeness of CFHR.
