In this Paper, a mathematical model describing the dynamics of pilot operated pressure control valve was derived. A attempt to analyze the Parameters(seat diameter, cone angle, spring stiffness, control volume) which relate to the performance of the object valve was carried out. Simulation using AMESim as a simulation tool was operated, and verified the validity of our simulation by means of comparison our simulation results with an experimental results of the pilot operated pressure control valve.
In this paper, we apply a forging simulator to automatic simulation of a connecting-rod forging process and compare its results with others found in the literature. The process information comes from the distributed examples of DEFORM3D. The process is fully automatically simulated using the tetrahedral element capability of AFDEX3D, developed by the authors. Our results are compared with the results found from the related literature, already simulated using DEFORM3D by other researchers. The comparison shows that our results are relatively excellent especially in terms of mesh quality on which the solution accuracy depends mainly.
Hybrid simulation may employ different types of simulation based on which models in different system types are developed. The simulation requires simulation time synchronization and data exchange between such simulators, which is called simulators interoperation. This paper develops such interoperable simulation environments for modeling and simulation of hybrid systems whose components consist of continuous and discrete event systems. The environments, one for centerized and the other for distribute, support interoperation between a discrete event simulator of DEVSim++ and a continuous simulator of MATLAB. The centerized environment, HDEVSim++, is developed by extending the sxisting DEVSim++ environment; the distributed environment, HDEVSimHLA, is developed using the HLA/RTl library. Verification of both environments is made and performance comparison between the two using a simple example is presented. .
In this paper, characteristic of switched reluctance motor for bike is compared according to rotor structure. Comparison results is verified with simulation which give same condition for design and control.

A Simulation S/W is developed to evaluate performances of MLS (Microwave Landing System) and IBLS(Integrated Beacon Landing System) in precision auto-landing. For this study classical PID and optimal LQG controllers are developed as well as mathematical models of MLS and IBLS. Ship-landing condition is also considered by assuming sinusoidal movement of the ship in the pitch direction. The simulated aircraft is F-16 in the study of precision auto-landing. For the integrated simulation environment GUI windows are designed for input of parameter values necessary for simulation, such as vehicle performance and environmental data. For validation and verification of models various comparison graphs of simulation outputs are comprised in the GUI design as well as 3D visual simulation of vehicle dynamics.

Streamline simulation researches have been extensively accomplished due to the swiftness of computation and the reduction of numerical dispersion. In this study, we developed a streamline simulation model using a semianalytical solution of ID transport equation. To validate accuracy of the developed model, we compared simulation results of contaminant transport, which were acquired by streamline simulation models using an analytical solution, a numerical solution, and a semianalytical solution. The developed model using the semianalytical solution matched well with the model using an analytical solution. However, streamline simulation model using a numerical solution showed numerical dispersion. For an advection-dominant flow, there was little difference in the simulation results between the developed model and tile analytical model, but the differences between the analytical model and the numerical model were cleary shown. From the comparison of computing time we know that the streamline simulation using the semianalytical solution is 2-60 times as fast as the streamline simulation using the numerical solution.

The expanded uncertainties calculated by the application of GUM -approximation and Monte-Carlo simulation were compared about the model equation of one-point calibration which is widely used for the measurements and chemical analysis. For the comparisons, we assumed a set of artificial data at the various level of concentration and dispersion of t or normal distribution. Mistakes of more then 50 % was revealed at the values calculated by GUM-approximation in comparison with those of Monte-Carlo simulation because of the excess dispersion from t-distribution and non-linearity by division in the equation. In contrary, the mistake of calculation due to non-linearity of the equation was not observed in the level of detection limits with the equation of one-point calibration, because of the relatively large values of uncertainty in response.
Formability simulation of automotive panels at early design phases can reduce product and tooling development time and cost. However, for the simulation to be effective in leading the design process, fast and reliable results should be achieved with limited design definition and minimum modeling effort. In this paper, nonlinear finite element analysis is used to develop an automated process for the formability simulation of automotive body panels at early design phases. Due to the limited design definition at early design phases, the automated simulation process is based on the plane strain analysis for selected number of typical sections along the panel. Therefore, an entire panel can be analyzed with few sections. The state of plane strain can be easily induced, during simulation through symmetry and applied boundary conditions that simplify the modeling process. To study the reliability and effectiveness of the developed simulation process, the analytical results are compared with measured results of production automotive body side panels. The comparison demonstrates that the developed simulation process is reliable and can be effective for analyzing sheet metal formability, in early vehicle development phases.
High Level Architecture/Run-Time Infrastructure (HLA/RTI) is used to connect individual simulators on networks in order to interoperate heterogeneous simulators. In defense domain, Ship Air Defense Model (SADM) and Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM) are two of most advanced simulation tools. To interoperate these SADM and EADSIM, this paper attempts to use HLA/RTI that helps to support a Composite Combat Mission Planning Simulation Environment (CCMPSE). The CCMPSE allows us to analyze a group of simulations for comprehensive and accurate experiments. For the first time, this paper analyzes guided missile simulations in EADSIM and SADM by comparing related simulation models in their parameters and considerations. It presents characteristics of these models in view of guided missile simulation perspectives. For the contributions of this paper, it provides insights to select guided missiles between SADM and EADSIM on the CCMPSE according to specific simulation purposes.
