Previous research has empirically demonstrated the negative effects of social media use on young people's psychological well-being. Unlike most previous studies that focused on either Facebook or Instagram, this study comparatively examined the differences in upward comparison and its effects on self-esteem, life satisfaction, and depression between Facebook and Instagram. An analysis of survey data from 641 Korean college students, who reportedly use these two social media more actively than any other age group, found that college students experience more upward comparisons on Instagram than on Facebook. Upward comparisons on both Facebook and Instagram increased by college students' age and weekly usage time. Upward comparisons on Instagram increased by the additional factors of gender (females more than males) and number of "followings." Subsequently, the effects of upward comparison on psychological well-being were found to differ by social media platform. Upward comparisons were found to negatively impact all determinants of psychological well-being only on Instagram, but not on Facebook. The differences in upward comparison and its impact on young users' psychological well-being found in this study were discussed in terms of the different functional characteristics of the two social media platforms, which provides direction for further research needed to establish guidelines for healthy social media use by young people.

With the growth of internet shopping malls, there is increasing interest in comparison shopping mall. However most comparison sites compare only book prices by collecting simple XML data and do not provide .the exact comparison Including precise shipping costs. Shipping costs vary depending on each customer's address, the delivery method, and the category of selected goods, so rule based system is required in order to calculate exact shipping costs. Therefore, we designed and implemented comparison shopping mall which compares not only book prices but also shipping costs using rule based inference. By adopting the extensible Rule Markup language (XRML) approach, we proposed the methodology of extracting delivery rules from Web pages of each shopping mall. The XRML approach can facilitate nearly automatic rule extraction from Web pages and consistency maintenance between Web pages and rule base. We developed a ConsiderD system which applies our rule acquisition methodology based on XRML. The objective of the ConsiderD system is to compare the exact total cost of books including the delivery cost over Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, and Powells.com. With this prototype, we conducted an experiment to show the potential of automatic rule acquisition from Web pages and illustrate the effect of delivery cost.

In this paper, we introduce the modification of a generalized (Ψ, L)-weak contraction and we prove some coincidence point results for self-mappings G, T and S, and some fixed point results for some maps by using a (c)-comparison function and a comparison function in the sense of a b-metric space.

In the United States (US), due to the Common Rule, completely revised in 2017, single Institutional Review Board (IRB) review has become mandatory for government-sponsored multi-institutional research since 2020 regardless of the number of participating institutions. The goal of these changes is to reduce redundant reviews by the IRB at each institution and better protect research participants. In this paper, single IRB and Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) in the US and Korea were compared and considered, and their implications were discussed. A comparison of the HRPP evaluation and certification systems of the US and Korea includes that of SMART IRB in the US and Korea Central IRB, aiming at single IRB review for efficient review with support from the country and building a more efficient national human subject research network in the future. Its comparison and analysis will be helpful in deriving future tasks and development directions of single IRB and HRPP in Korea.

In this study, variables were constructed based on prior research to examine the impact of information system quality (information quality, system quality, service quality), customer value and satisfaction in hotel comparison site. The samples consist of 205 survey data drawn from hotel comparison site users. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 21.0. According to results of the reliability and validity test, all were found reliable, and all items were included. The results are as follows: first, Among the information system quality (information quality, system quality, and service quality) of the hotel comparison site, the information quality and service quality have positive effects on customer value. Second, the information system quality(information quality, system quality, and service quality) of the hotel comparison site has a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Third, the customer value of the hotel comparison site has a positive effect on customer satisfaction.

The purpose of this paper is to draw comparison between the performance of ${\alpha}-{\beta}-{\gamma}$ filter and Kalman filter of a tracking module for ARPA system on board high dynamic warship. The comparison is based on the filters' capability to reduce residual error and maintain a stable transient response. The residual error is computed from the difference between the observed the predicted positions for the entire tracking period. The results indicate that the Kalman filter has a higher tracking accuracy compared to the optimal ${\alpha}-{\beta}-{\gamma}$ filter. However, both filters have a similar transient response.

The purpose of this study was to compare smoking control strategies between Korea and the United States. Korea and other developing countries may learn from the experience of the United States in dealing with the growing epidemic of cigarettes. In particular, smoking control objectives, structures, laws and regulations, funds, programs and activities, research, and surveillance systems were compared. The comparison was conducted at the federal, states/provincial, and county levels of the two countries. The data were collected through various governmental websites, contact with people directly, and a literature review. Based on the comparison, seven recommendations for smoking control strategies were made primarily for Korea.

정지기상위성의 거리측정신호를 이용한 시각비교 시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템을 이용한 당 연구원 세슘원자시계와 GMS 신호와의 시각비교측정결과 10 ns 정도의 시각비교 정밀도를 나타내었다. 또한 보다 높은 정확도의 시각비교를 위해 운반가능한 GMS 수신기를 이용하여 일본 통신연구소의 GMS 수신기와 한국표준과학연구원의 GMS 수신기사이의 지연시간을 교정하였다.

This study is carried out to investigate performance differences between two alarm presentation methods from the viewpoint of human factors and to provide items to be improved. One of the alarm display methods considered in this study displays alarm lists on VDT combined with hardwired alarm panels. The other method displays alarms on plant mimic diagrams of VDT. This alarm display method has other features for operator aid with which operator can get detailed information on the activated alarm in the mimic diagrams, and the capability for alarm processing such as alarm reduction and prioritization. To compare the twodisplay methods, a human factor experiment was performed with a plant simulator in the ITF(Integrated Test Fcility) that plant operators run for 4 event scenarios. During the experiment, physiological measurements, system and operator action log, and audio/video recordings were collected. Operators' subjective opinion was collected as well after the experiment. Time, error rate and situation awareness were major human factor criteria used for the comparison during the analysis stage of the experiment. No statistical significance was found in the results of our statistical comparison analysis. Several findings were identified, however, through the analysis of subjective opinions.

Experiments were performed according to ultrasonic attenuation measurement and comparison method of DAC curve to analyze the difference between PSI and 2nd ISI ultrasonic testing results. Smaller error was found by comparison method of DAC curve, and that method was more useful practically.
