  • This thesis describes a quantitative decision-making of production planning system. A mathmatical model of Linear Programming is used set up a production scheuling under the assumption. As the emphasis is laid on the applicability of the developed model, the linrar programming is applied to establish the production schedule for "F" furniture company which produces kitchin cabinet and OA furniture, The optimal solution is obtained by using the LP package, QBS. By the solution reduced to 14% of work force compared with the real data during all of the planning horizon. And it is also possible to reduce the work-force of the lowest level of employee by 10% for the reasonable management. There are some limitations in computerized data processing, which is only considering the economic costs without considering any external environment of case enterprise. • This paper discusses the determinants of green practices and incorporates some empirical findings from a recent study in the petrochemical sector in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The study was comprised of a survey and follow-up interviews with senior executives who participated in the survey. Of fourteen companies involved, the findings affirmed that the investigation of accidents, provision of an emergency response, employee training, decreasing the production of wastes, and pre-treating wastes before disposal should be stressed. Government requirement, the economic reasons and public pressures were the driving forces of green practices. The five most important determinants identified include performance evaluation, financial justification, impacts on company, management leadership and operations integration. Implementing environmental management systems as a feasible approach to green practices in the petrochemical sector was explored. The findings provide guidance that helps organisations to accommodate the determinants of green practices into achieving sustainable environmental goals.

In pump manufacturing industry, since it is difficult to find sufficient worker having technical skill and knowledge concerning pump manufacturing technology, therefore the industry must cultivate the employee systematically. We reached the result, production engineer and R&D engineer play an important role to improve competitive ability in pump manufacturing industry. Though they need technical education, the effect of education was not satisfactory. To solve this problem, suitable technical education course must be devised. Marketing reinforcement is a important factor in pump manufacturing industry. To achieve marketing reinforcement, each company must develop their present technology further and raise marketing ability to expand internal and external business. Then, the paper presents the relationship between IT capability through IT success cases and corporate business performance among 32 industries.
