The Impact of Human Resource Development on Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment : Mediating Effects of Learning Culture (인적자원개발제도, 조직몰입, 직무만족 간의 관계 : 조직수준의 학습문화의 매개효과 검증)

  • One of the theoretically and empirically grounded black boxes in HRD and firm performance link is employee' attitudes such as organizational commitment and job satisfaction. However, most studies were conducted with the regression analysis at the organizational level. This study used HLM(hierarchical linear modeling) analysis, which made it possible to estimate more accurate relationship between variables that were measured from two different levels. In addition, this study attempted to open an the black box(learning culture) in the relationship between HRD and employee attitudes. The result showed that the HRD have a positive effect on the organizational commitment and the job satisfaction. Also the HRD showed full mediation effect of organization commitment and the job satisfaction on the Learning culture. And the result showed that the HRD in 2007 have a positive effect on employee' attitudes in 2009. These findings concluded that systematic HRD like employee's education and training must be built and also the positive culture for employee's learning like support of management's learning organization must be improved in order to promote the organizational performance(organizational commitment, job satisfaction) in company.

The Relationship between Goal Orientation and Organizational Citizenship Behavior: The Mediating Effect of Self-esteem and the Moderating Effect of Ethical Leadership (목표성향이 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향: 자기유능감의 매개효과와 윤리적 리더십의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • This study examines the effect of goal orientation (GO) on employee' self-esteem and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Also, this paper investigates the mediating effect of employee' self-esteem and the moderating effect of leader's ethical leadership. The results of this study targeted 1,656 employees working at company and public institution were as follows: First, we found that learning goal orientation (LGO) and performance prove goal orientation (PPGO) had a positive impact on employee' self-esteem. But performance avoid goal orientation (PAGO) was not directly related to self-esteem. Second, LGO and PPGO had a positive effect on employee' OCB. But PAGO was not related to OCB. Third, the mediating role of self-esteem in the relationship between GO variables (LGO, PPGO) and OCB was statistically significant. Finally, the interaction term of employee' GO (LGO, PPGO) and leader's ethical leadership was not related to OCB, whereas the positive link between PAGO and OCB was stronger when leader's ethical leadership was high. In particular, this study presented with implications for future research, limitations of this study.

Recognition of Efficiency and Effectiveness of the Experiences with Hand Acupuncture (수지침 경험자들의 수지침에 대한 효율성과 효과성 인식정도)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide with basic information on application of hand acupuncture as a complementary and alternative therapy by giving some recognition of efficiency and effectiveness of hand acupuncture. And so, answers for questionnaires of 290 respondents were used for this research and collected from June 5 through 13, 1999 from adults twenty and over who were participating in the hand acupuncture training program in Seoul and had some direct experiences with hand acupuncture therapy, whatever they had been treated and/or had treated. To secure reliability of measurement tool. Cronbach'a has been calculated and Factor Analysis was done as Validity Analysis of question classification. Demograprucal characteristics of hand acupuncture experienced people and factors related to hand acupuncture experiences are calculated based on the real number and percentage. The degree of recognition of efficiency and effectiveness of hand acupuncture is made as average and standard deviation, while the degree of recognition of efficiency and effectiveness based on general characteristics come from one-way ANOVA. 1. According to socio-demographical analysis. the questioned could be classified firstly as age (40-49 : 32.5%. 30-39 : 24.9%. 50-59 : 21.9%. 60-69 : 14.7%. 20-29 : 6.0%). secondly gender (male 36.6%. female 63.4%). thirdly occupation (housewife: 43.8%. self-employed: 15.5%. company-employee: 14.8%). fourthly education (high school graduate: 41.9%, college graduate: 37.9%), and lastly monthly-income (1 to 2 million: 51.4%. 2 to 3 million: 20,3%) 2, As for the general aspects related to hand acupuncture. 80,0% of the respondents answered almost zero for the monthly average number of visit to hospital and 15.5% responded 1 to 2 visits, 6,2% of the respondents is complaining of a disorder of digestive system. 19,0% circulatory disease, 10.7% bad nervous system. By utilizing hand acupuncture, 84% of the questioned have following experiences in curing diseases: digestive system 47.3%, circulatory system 9.3%, nervous system 8.3%, 54,1% are curing 1 to 2 and 10.3% 3 to 4 patients on a daily basis with hand acupuncture. Research on the demerits of giving medical treatment with hand acupuncture shows 23,8% are feeling economic burden. 16.6% difficulty of learning and 16.2% weak theoretical backgrounds. 3. Among the efficiency recognition, possibility of general application is average 4,29 and simple treatment is 4,19. economic merits 4.36. possibility of establishment with supplementary and alternative medicine 4.17, medical effectiveness 4.09. 4, As a result of demographical analysis on the efficiency and effectiveness of hand acupuncture therapy, it appears that the recognition of efficiency based on occupation and the recognition of effectiveness based on monthly income are most significant to be noticed. In an orderly fashion. government-employee, self-employed, company-employee. and then housewife have perceived hand acupuncture very efficiently, And those who recognize hand acupuncture to be most effective are people earn 1 million to 2 million won a month, 5. The efficiency(p = .003) and effectiveness (p= .049) of hand acupuncture therapy by number of visit to hospital were statiscally significant, and effectiveness of hand acupuncture therapy by disease exist was statiscally significant (p= .033).

  • Currency crisis, in order to solve the problem of the polarization of economic and serious youth unemployment rate, to prepare for the smart new economic era, and like to support and nurture the one-persion creating company of mobile app industry of central and local government people policies are underway. To be able to contribute to the establishment of the success of mobile app One-person creating company, to target the mobile app One-person creating company int the Busan region, we conducted an empirical study of success factors, and thus, support these solutions, more effective and efficient in an attempt to try to seek the support measures, was carried out this research. In this study, results derive a research three hypotheses about the success factors of One-person creating company through literature discussion, were investigated on the basis of empirical data of the mobile app one-persion creative company of Busan region of 51 individual, establishment of company period is longer, the number of organizations employee is large and attract a lot of external funds, and was able to find the tendency of more entrepreneurs receives an education, may increase an outcome of business. In this study, it is possible to obtain the policy implications as follows. First, to attract investment funds and attract government funding to support the funding of One-person creating company, it is necessary to pay attention more. Second, policy founder to an education about the management on an ongoing basis is needed than the education of marketing and technology for human resources development. Future, you will be able to expand across the country study company, we have established a policy of mobile app industry of national dimension, in this foundation, will be expanded to all industries.

  • In Korea Small-medium Companies Constitutes 96.5% of all of the mining and manufacturing industries, about 35.7% of the total production of value added business, an average of 35% of the actual export of industrial goods and 47.6% of employment since present at the end of 1979. Now then Small-medium Industry Companies organization style constitutes 78.6% of a form of private company and 81.2% of the total on an small scale under 50 persons inregular employee. Specially, the trouble of business management of the mining and manufacturing Companies in Korea are constituted average 28.3% of production management ill the worst trouble of business management from 1973 to 1979 and small-medium industry Companies are the same of about more than 30% of production management in the trouble of business management. In this cases, the status of production management is effected by small-medium industry companies are the style of non-system and non-organization, but then 13parts in production management operations have the many trouble problems. In this circumstances a change for the better of production management operations in small medium industry companies are suggested the application effects and achievement points of production management, it is suggested a kind of variety and a small quantity, production management system of small-medium industry Company. And then Industrial Engineering technics is applied systematic route and the company grow more than better its physical condition for the improve productivity applied system approach for production management.   • Recently the paradigm of business management has changed. The businesses have restored to ERP or BPR to integrate their information system. But now they are trying to find out a new competitiveness in tacit knowledge of individuals. The creative company has come to put much weigh on the value of their employee′s "non-patternized" knowledge. And this trend has seen a development into a theory of knowledge management in which "non-patternized" knowledge, along with explicit knowledge, is also considered as a source of competitiveness. With the hypothesis that the recognition of the knowledge management and the utilization of the information technology will have influence on the integration of the integrating the information system information system into a new phase, this study carries out a research on the effects of knowledge management and information technology on management achievement. According to this study the distribution of knowledge has an effect on the integration of information system and management achievement. The asset of knowledge, however, has little effect on them. This means that the recognition of the asset of knowledge alone can't affect the management achievement, but when combined with the recognition of the distribution of knowledge, it can have influence on the management achievement. Thus, a company has to enhance the recognition of the distribution of knowledge. And with this, a company can have a business management based on management achievement and the integration of information system utilizing information technology and the recognition of knowledge management. A company has to promote it business achievement by integrating the information system utilizing information technology and recognizing knowledge management.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the non-regular labor dispute from beginning to the ends, thus, give guidance for future similar labor disputes. As a result of this study, firstly, subcontract company union negotiated with their companies, but after their companies was shut up, the union demanded negotiation with Hynix Co.(Hynix Co. contracted with union member's companies about cleaning job etc for every year). However, Hynix rejected the union's demand, because Hynix Co. do not have the legal obligation to negotiate with subcontract company union. Secondly, union members was to in unemployment and for the employment & negotiation with Hynix Co. they did illegal actions against Hynix Co. Thirdly, there was tried many efforts by NGO & government authorities etc to settle the disputes, and mediated, arbitrated by private expert(Certified Public Labor Attorney) Finally, both parties(that is Hynix Co. and subcontract company union) negotiated each other and settled the dispute without employment.

  • A company is a social group of many individuals that work together to obtain better results, and it is an organization that pursues common goals such as profit. As a result, forming networks among members, as well as individual communication abilities, is critical. The purpose of this research was to determine what factors influence the creation of employee advice relationships. Using the ERGM(Exponential Random Graph Model) approach, we looked at the network data of 44 individuals from consulting firms with offices in the United States and Europe. The significance of structural network factors like connectivity was first discovered. Second, the gender factor had the most significant main influence on the likelihood of adopting each other's advice. Third, geographical homogeneity resulted in higher link probabilities than major impacts of gender. This research looked at ways to make a company's network more efficient and active.

  • This research introduces the implementation for cash flow forecasting system in construction company through a case study. The implemented system shows how to develop overall corporate-level and project-level cash flow forecasting model based on a real business process in construction company. It takes 1 year to implement system. The study proposes the way of system design, process of system design, and considerations of implementation in step by step. Moreover, it shows main screen, limitation and reliability of the system. The proposed model is validated accurate, flexible and simple as a result of comparing actual data to forecasting data for 2 years. This system is easy to approach the employee who don't have any financial knowledge. This research is expected to assist to implement system of cash flow forecasting in construction company.

  • The purpose of this study were to investigate the job analysis questionnaire was mailed to 250 dietitians who are members of The Korean dietetic association practice group in self-operated foodservices(hereafter group A)and 250 dietitians who are employed in contracted foodservice companies(hereafter group B). Completed questionnaires were received from 285 dietitians(121 in self-operated, 164 in contracted) ; a response rate of 57%. Statistical data analysis was completed using the SAS/win packages for descriptive analysis, t-test, $x^2$-test, The results of this study can be summarized as follows. 1. The dietetic training or internship experiences were significantly different between the two sample group(p<.001), but the perceptions of needs for training or internship were not different between and they thought one to six month training would be needed for the job. 2. The question about the time needed in order to perform an expert job was answered significantly differently(p<.001) 3. Group A usually took part in obligatory continuing education and short-term training courses, and group B usually took part in obligatory continuing education and on-the-job trainings, respectively. However both group perceived all three types of educations would be needed for performing the job better. 4. As for the physical demands of the job, a certain degree of accuracy and dexterity for physical tasks and equipment operations was needed for the job. Concerning the mental demands, they answered that their job needs considerable creativity and judgement for planning and performing their tasks was needed. 5. As for responsibilities, group B's responsibilities were heavier than group A’s(p<.001) and need for confidentiality was also greater for group B than for group A(p<.001). 6. As for the supervising role differences, group A rarely received supervision from others and they were given directions only in essential situations, whereas group B was usually supervised when planning and performing their job and tasks, showing significant difference in positions between the two sample groups(p<.001). But each group supervised co-workers and employees in their department. 7. With regard to personal contact, both groups frequently contacted people in their department and other departments at the company and sometimes people outside the company. 8. Concerning the work environment, there were some risks and discomforts in the physical environment and there was no significant difference between the two sample groups.
