Effect of Organizational Culture on Corporate Social Welfare Activities

  • Purpose - Stakeholders play a vital part in the company's CSR activities and they are part of the company's achievement and affect the company's achievement or business objectives. This study aims to add insight into the already existing knowledge how the organizational culture can promote corporate social welfare activities. Research design, Data, and methodology - The current authors obtained text data for the possible practical suggestions which might be used for the creation of coding method. That implies that the present author investigated only trustable textual sources to provide for the possible solutions such as peer-revied sources and published book. Result - Research results indicated that organizational culture promotes corporate social welfare activities by making people know their values and understand how they come about. Not every community knows what its members want and how to achieve its needs. Sometimes, a community can obtain the values and principles of an organization and incorporate them into community values. Conclusion - Executive leadership and customers are part of society. Any strategy that influences their operation and works ethic influences the contact of the community. This research found methods vital in setting up an excellent culture that enhances profitability and the corporate social welfare activities through motivation and communication.

The moderating effect of Korean fashion SMEs' company age and size on the relationship between management ownership and company financial growth (패션기업의 경영자 기업지배력이 기업 재무성장성에 미치는 영향 - 한국 중소기업의 규모와 기업업력의 조절효과를 중심으로 -)

  • Most Korean companies in the fashion industry are SMEs, and the role of the CEO and management ownership is important for enhancing the firm's competence and developing strategies. The study aims to examine the effect of management ownership on company financial growth. In particular, the study focuses on the moderating effect of company age and size on Korean fashion SMEs' financial outcomes. Financial data based on company financial statements from 2012 to 2014 was collected by the Data Analysis, Retrieval and Transfer System of Korea's Financial Supervisory Service. A total of 295 companies' (domestic fashion businesses) data was analyzed by the bootstrap method. The median sales value in the financial year 2014 was 47,492,403,958 KRW, and the company size was divided by it. The companies were in business for an average of 20 years. According to the results, the management ownership had a negative effect on Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) for the three-years, and the relationship between the two variables was moderated by company age. Additionally, the interaction effect of management ownership and company age on 3-CAGR was also moderated by company size. When the companies had spent only a few years in business, a negative effect of management ownership for small firms and a positive effect of management ownership on financial growth for medium firms were found. These results suggest that small companies starting business need to manage their company governance structure to make flexible decisions, and after retaining financial growth, the companies can expand their businesses based on strong ownership.

  • This study is an empirical analysis of the characteristics of the organization and the performance of the company. The characteristics that make up the culture of a company's organization determine its success. Overcoming the company's closed cultural characteristics, entrepreneurial orientation, delegation, openness of organizational culture, and R&D capabilities have a positive impact on the company's performance. These characteristics of the company also play a positive role in embracing open innovation to generate innovative results. The characteristics of a company positively consider the acceptance and utilization of external resources. These variables proved that the nature of a company's organization is a factor in generating a company's performance. In this process, open innovation and the acceptance of external resources also proved to be a positive factor in generating corporate performance. The contents of this study provide an academic basis for the variables that build corporate organizational culture and provide a practical attitude to the role of leaders in managing corporate organizational culture. This study is focused on women's SMEs. n future research, the overall characteristics of the company will be considered. In addition, this study attempts to verify by applying various variables for generating performance of domestic SMEs by reflecting overcoming regional limitations.

  • This paper investigates the relationships among family-friendly culture, intrinsic motivation, team-member exchange(TMX), and creativity in ICT(information & communication technology) company. Also the study investigates the moderator effect of TMX and the mediator effect of intrinsic motivation in the relationships between family-friendly culture and creativity. A structural equation modeling(SEM) was employed to test the hypotheses. Using survey data collected from 229 R&D department and support personnel in ICT company. The main finding of this study was as follows: First, a family-friendly culture had a negative effect on employee creativity. Second, intrinsic motivation had a positive impact on employee creativity. Third, a family-friendly culture had a positive effect on intrinsic motivation. Fourth, intrinsic motivation mediated effect on the relationship between a family-friendly culture and employee creativity. Fifth, the positive relationships between a family-friendly culture and intrinsic motivation were stronger when TMX was high rather than low. In particular, this review concludes with implications for future research, limitations of this study, and practical application.

Investigating Factors Affecting Value Creation and Its Distribution on Company's Performance

  • Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of business processes, quality of human resources and organizational culture and its distribution in creating value to achieve competitive advantage. Research Design, Data, and Methodology: Data collection in this study was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 90 employees of Delivery service companies in Makassar City. Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis was used as data analysis. Result: this study indicates that business processes do not directly affect competitive advantage, but business processes will have an effect if they go through the value creation process as an intervening variable, while the quality of human resources and work environment have a direct effect on competitive advantage and have a direct effect on Value creation. The quality of human resources and organizational culture also have an indirect effect on competitive advantage through the value creation process. This research also indicates that value creation has an effect on competitive advantage. Conclusion: Competitive advantage will be realized if organizational processes run well, company management that able to carry out good organizational processes and able to create a conducive organizational culture, will be able to distribute company resources to create value that leads to achieving competitive advantage for companies in the future.

  • This study analyzed the effect of small maufacturing businesses' company culture on organizational performance. The study results showed that personal culture(one's organizational commitment) positively affected job satisfaction and improving creativity. Organizational culture(harmony of organization) and environmental culture(importance of environmental factors) didn't significantly affected organizational perfirmance. Also, organizational commitment was varied by employee's position, harmony of organization was varied by age, education and continuous service year, job satisfaction and creativity was varied by education. This study provided implications for analyzing the importance of personal organizational environmental factors and dicovering individual diffrences of the employees.

  • The Purpose of this study is to identify relationships between knowledge management performances and such Influence factors of knowledge Management as information technology, knowledge management process, culture & people, strategy & Leadership in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises. In order to test hypotheses, we collected data from 498 SME's employees, then analysed them by SPSSWIN. This results showed as follows; 1. All Influence factors of knowledge Management( information technology, knowledge management process, culture & people, strategy & Leadership) are to advance individual task effectiveness and organization effectiveness significantly. 2. Such Influence factors of knowledge Management as information technology, knowledge management process, culture & people are to improve business efficiency between the company. But strategy & leadership factor is not significant. 3. Influence factors of knowledge Management are different between knowledge performace factors such ac individual task effectiveness, organization effectiveness, and business efficiency between company.

The Analysis of Education Needs of Dietitians and Cooks According to the Type of Hire and Education Background in Contracted Foodservice Management Company (위탁급식경영업체의 영양사, 조리사의 고용형태 및 학력별 교육요구도 분석)

  • This study was designed to develop the education and training program of dietitians and cooks in contracted foodservice management company. The instruments were developed by reviewing extensive literatures on education programs and by interviewing with dietitians and cooks who were working in contracted foodservice management company. A total of 400 questionnaires were hand delivered at the fourteen contracted foodservice management companies by designated coordinators. A total of 286 questionnaires were usable; resulting in a 70.0% response rate. Statistics data analysis was completed using the SPSS for frequency analysis, reliability, mean value, t-test and ANOVA. The results of this study were summarized as follows: 1. The dietitians wanted to take a management course. The cooks wanted to take a culinary education. The dietitians and cooks took an emphasis on service education, foodborne illness & HACCP and sanitation & safety. Service as well as the taste of food and sanitation was emphasized according to the flow of customer satisfaction. 2. Contracted foodservice management company should provide dietitians and cooks with an education for the job to accomplish customer satisfactions.

Adaptation of Cross-Cultural Communication in Jakarta Multinational Companies

  • Purpose: This study aims to explore the experience of cross-cultural communication adaptation between local and expatriate employees at PT. XX Organizational culture in the company is the most important factor to helpemployees in the company to work efficiently and effectively in order to achieve company goals. Research design, data and methodology: The analysis methods used in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing a conclusion. From this collaboration, the cultural adaptations arouse due to the challenges for workers who have to work together with different cultural backgrounds. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection methods used is employee interviews at PT. XX with triangulation conducted on 2 expatriates and 2 local employees. Results: Studies show that successful management is highly dependent on employees adapting to local culture and work situations. This process rarely runs smoothly because the persons in intercultural interaction do not use the same language and the lack of adaptation.. Conclusions: . In order to maintain its existence, the company strives to expand its wings in the global market and establish partnerships to expand cooperation. PT. XX from South Korea cooperated with Krakatau Steel, a state-owned Indonesian company
