Electroactive Polymer Actuator for Lens-Drive Unit in Auto-Focus Compact Camera Module

  • We propose a lens-drive unit composed of an ionic polymer-metal composite (IPMC) for an auto-focus compact camera module in cellular phones to solve the power consumption problem of voice coil motors which are widely used in commercial products. In this research, an IPMC incorporated into a lens-drive unit is designed to implement a large displacement in low-power consumption by using an anisotropic plasma treatment. Experimental results show that a camera module containing IPMCs can control and maintain the position of the lens by using proportional integral derivative control with a photo-reflective position sensor despite the non-linear actuation behavior of IPMCs. We demonstrate that the fabrication and commercialization of a lens actuator that has a large displacement and low power consumption using IPMCs is possible in the near future.

LabVIEW의 모델기반 제어기 설계와 Compact RIO를 이용한 직류전동기 구동 시스템 (DC Motor Drive System Using Model Based Cotroller Design of LabVIEW and Compact RIO)

  • 본 논문에서는 모델기반의 제어기 설계 프로그램인 National Instruments(NI)사의 System Identification Toolkit과 Control Design Toolkit, Simulation module을 사용하여 기존의 제어기 설계방식보다 쉽고 편리하게 제어기를 설계할 수 있었다. 직류전동기의 속도제어시스템을 구현하기 위해서 하드웨어는 NI사에서 제공하는 실시간 제어기(Real-Time Controller:RT) CompactRIO를 사용하였다. 먼저는, 테스트 입력 신호를 전동기에 인가하고 얻은 출력신호를 통해 제어대상 플랜트인 직류전동기 구동시스템의 전달함수를 구할 수 있었다. 다음으로는 원하는 제어응답성능을 갖는 극점, 영점 제어기를 설계한 후, 모의실험을 통해 속도제어응답을 확인할 수 있었고, 실시간 프로그램으로 다운로드하여 실제 전동기 구동시스템의 실험을 통해서 설계된 속도제어기의 응답 결과를 모의실험과 비교하여 검증하였다.

  • A compact model of tunnel field effect transistor (TFET) has been developed. The model includes a surface potentia calculation module and a band-to-band-tunneling current module. Model comparison with TCAD shows that the mode calculates TFET surface potential and drain current accurately.

W-band 초소형 레이다용 송수신모듈 (Transceiver Module for W-band Compact Radar)

  • 본 논문에서는 W-대역 초소형 레이다용 송수신모듈을 설계 및 제작하였다. 제안하는 광대역 마이크로스트립-도파관 전이구조를 이용하여 설계 및 제작 오차를 줄였으며, 전이구조 당 1 dB 이하의 삽입손실 및 제작의 신뢰성을 제공하였다. 이중편파 모노펄스 특성을 가지는 초소형 레이다에 직접 적용하기 위해 28 dBm의 높은 출력을 가지는 한 채널의 송신모듈을 설계 및 제작하였다. 또한 13.5 dB의 낮은 잡음지수 및 최대 17 dBm의 높은 입력 P1dB를 가지는 6채널의 수신모듈을 개발하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 W-대역 송수신모듈을 이용하여 초소형 레이다에 적용하여 이중 편파 모노펄스 신호를 바로 처리 가능하리라 예상된다.

  • The multi channel of DDI which is the core part of the LCD-TV has been propelled. When multi channel in DDI is introduced, it brings a thermal problem because of the increased power. To solve the thermal problem of the DDI it needs to be investigated each at the package level and module level. It is important to extract the junction temperature(Tj) of DDI clearly from the system level. The objective of this research is to construct a compact model. The compact model is to reduce LCD module including DDI. When the compact model is used, it will be able to easily handle the boundary condition and accurately predict the temperature. Consequently, the temperature of DDI can be calculated easily at the system level. Through this research,we also proposed the cooling plan of DDI for a protection of overheating. The cooling plan was utilized in DDI design.

  • This paper presents an implementation of compact vector control system for induction motor using a digital signal processor (DSP) and a smart power module (SPM). The DSP TMS320F2812 has most necessary functions for ac motor control in a single chip and SPM provides a compact power stage. The indirect vector control algorithm is implemented in the drive system using these devices. The developed system is applied by 0.8kW induction servo motor and the all functions are verified through the experiments.

  • This paper deals with the algorithm development that inspects defects such as Lens Focus, Focus check, Black Defect, Dark Defect, Dim Defect, Color Defect, and Line Defect, Angle Defect, IrisAgc Defect caused by the process of 2M Class Compact Camera Module (CCM). Domestic market was majorly comprised of VGA(0.3 million pixel) market. But in the middle of year 2004, camera phone with Mega Pixel has appeared, and it is estimated that the camera phone with Mega Pixel will take up to 28% of total phone sales if it is released in the end of year 2004. Since the inspection of finished products is done manually, it is major obstacle in production increment In this paper, to solve these problems, we developed the imaging processing algorithm to inspect the defects in captured image of assembled CCM. The performances of the developed inspection system and we can recognize various types of defect of CCM modules with good accuracy and high speed

주기적인 채널형상을 갖는 고밀도 열교환기의 열유동 성능해석 (THERMAL-FLUID PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF COMPACT HEAT EXCHANGERS HAVING A PERIODIC CHANNEL CONFIGURATION)

  • A periodic CFD approach for the performance analysis of compact high temperature heat exchangers is introduced and applied to selected benchmark problems, which are a fully developed 2D laminar heat transfer, a conjugate heat transfer between parallel plates which have exact solutions, and a heat transfer in a real high temperature heat exchanger module. The results for the 2D laminar heat transfer and the 2D conjugate heat transfer showed a very good agreement with the exact solutions. For the high temperature heat exchanger module, the pressure drops were predicted well but some difference was observed in the temperature parameters when compared to the full channel CFD analysis due to assumptions introduced into the periodic approach. Considering its assumptions and simplicities, however, the results showed that the periodic approach provides physically reasonable results and it is sufficient to predict the performance of a heat exchanger within an engineering margin and with much less CPU time than the case of a full channel analysis.
